Abstract
The carton with an innovative feature of dispensing the contents by pulling from one corner of box from sideways with a hinge provision. This way of dispensing of contents and closing back in same direction shall also preserves the intactness and integrity of the carton structure as well as an easier way of operation.
Description
CARTON WITH MOVABLE SIDE PANEL
FIELD OF INVENTION:
The present invention relates to a carton for easy, efficient dispensing of the contents. More particularly, the present invention relates to a carton, with movable side panel, that is easy & efficient to operate as well as that retains the intactness and integrity of its structure after the contents are dispensed.
BACKGROUND OF INVENTION:
In the present scenario the cartons being used for dispensing of the blisters or the contents is reverse tuck-in carton. This so called reverse tuck in carton consists of two openings i.e. from top and bottom through a tuck in flaps. These tuck in flaps gets locked with side flaps of carton to hold the inner contents when closed.
There is a lack of new approach in the action of opening and closing of such packages. Further, the integrity and locking efficiency decreases in the due course during a repeated usage.
It may be noted that the present invention has brought a new way of opening and dispensing of the contents from the carton.
SUMMARY OF INVENTION:
The prime objective of this invention is to provide a unique and an easier way of opening/dispensing of the inside contents. More particularly, the objective of current invention is to a carton, with movable side panel, that is easy & efficient to operate.
Further objective of this invention is to develop a carton that retains the intactness and integrity of the structure in the due course of repeated use.
Also the further objective of this invention is to develop a carton which can make the user to take the contents easily as well as close it in simple and single step after usage. Further to that, the carton shall remain in closed position.
Briefly described in a preferred form the objects of this invention are achieved by providing an enclosed carton that has a unique opening from the side of the carton by pulling the movable side panel.
The present invention of the carton is constructed from single board of the blank.
This side open carton is generally formed in rectangular shape having a top panel, one of the side panels, front panel, back panel and a bottom panel are the constant /fixed sides. The remaining side of the carton is a movable side panel which can be pulled out through the hinge provided on its top.
This movable side panel consists of the compartment structure which shall carry the inner contents with it.
The access of dispensing of the contents is done by pulling the hinge to an extent so that the user can pick the contents easily.
After usage, the contents can be kept in the same compartment and park it back in to the carton by pushing. So, the carton shall get to its rectangular shape when closed and also retains in closed position.
It should be realized that movable side opening compartment end does not have to be removed from the carton as this is an extension of the bottom panel in the blank.
Being remaining sides of the carton undisturbed, the intactness and structural integrity of carton shall retain and prevent the cause of any damage.
The carton can be constructed by gluing, taping and by locking.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFFERED EMBODIMENT:
The objects, features and advantages of the present invention will become more apparent upon reading the specification in conjunction with accompanying drawing figures.
KEY LINE-A WITH LOCKING SYSTEM 1:
With reference to figure 1, figure 5 and figure 7, the blank 1 consists of a top panel 2 with a creasing line 4, 6 and also cutting edges 3 and 5. The creasing line 6 connects the top panel 2 with the small tuck-in flap 8 ending with a cutting edge 7. The top panel 2 is continued to the front panel 9 of the carton through the creasing line 4.
The front panel 9 consists of three other creasing lines 11 ,14 and 16. The creasing line 11 extended to front panel 9 as interlocking flap-I 10 whereas the creasing line 16 extends the front panel 9 to the bottom panel 17 and the creasing line 14 extends the front panel 9 to the fixed side panel 13.
The fixed side panel 13 ends with three cutting edges 15a, 15b and 15c whereas the interlocking flap-I 10 has one cutting edge 12. Also, the flap 10 consists of two glue drop points a and β as shown in fig: 1.
These glue drops a and β on the interlocking flap-I 10 adhere to the inner side of the front panel 9 so that the interlocking flap -1 10 gets folded inside and stays in its required position.
Also, this adherence of interlocking flap-I 10 shall hold to front panel 9 firmly and helps in locking of interlocking flap -II 48 when movable side panel 31 is pulled out.
The bottom panel 17 which is connected to front panel 9 through the creasing line 16 has three other creasing lines 18, 19, & 20. The creasing line 18 extends the bottom panel 17 to a movable side opening panel 31 which is associated with the side opening compartment structure. Whereas, the creasing line 19 extends the bottom panel 17 to the back panel 23 and the creasing line 20 extends the bottom
panel 17 to a tuck- in flap 21. This tuck-in flap 21 ends with a cutting edge 22. So that this tuck in flap 21 gets inserted into the carton when formed.
The back panel 23 which is connected to the bottom panel 17 through the creasing line 19 consists of one cutting edge 26 and two pasting flaps 27, 29 which are produced through creasing lines 24 and 25 respectively. The pasting flap 29 ends with the cutting edge 30 whereas the pasting flap 27 ends with cutting edges 28a, 28b and 28c.
During formation of carton the pasting flap 29 joins to the top panel 2 whereas the pasting flap 27 joins to the fixed side panel 13 to form the top and fixed side panels of the carton. It has to be realized that these sides are undisturbed during the operation.
As mentioned earlier, the creasing line 18 extends the bottom panel 17 to the movable side opening structure of the carton, connecting at the movable side panel 31. The movable side panel 31 consists of two wings, left wing 35, right wing 36 and a cutting edge 33 consisting a hinge like ending with the 37 and 38 edges.
The right wing 36 is connected to the movable side panel 31 through the creasing line 34. This right wing 36 consists of the cutting edges 39 and 40. The right wing 36 also carries a small tuck-in flap 44 through two creasings 42a, 42b and cutting (or) notch 41. The tuck in flap 44 ends with a cutting edge 43.
