Definitions
- the invention relates to a pouch to be carried on the wearer's body, which is intended primarily for leisure-time activities.
- Waist packs are small packs (pouches, pockets and such) affixed to the body using a waist strap, which may also serve as a trouser belt.
- waist packs are usually carried in the front on the wearer's abdomen or on the wearer's back or side.
- Waist packs may have one or more storage compartments.
- a disadvantage of the design of such waist packs is the fact that minimum fixation, that is, simple affixation to the body using a single strap, makes the storage compartment, that is the pocket, rather unstable, and activities involving intensive movements are hindered by the fact that the waist pack is not firmly seated on the body, moves in various directions and may bounce, which is unsatisfactory for certain kinds of sport or exercise.
- Another disadvantage is the relatively easy theft of a whole waist pack or its contents, as it is only affixed to the body with a single strap and its pockets are usually fitted with zips on the front, outer side of the waist pack.
- Another disadvantage is a low number of storage compartments, as most known waist packs usually have one or two storage compartments.
- the disadvantages described above are largely eliminated by the design of a sports pouch affixed using a shoulder strap and an underarm strap, with the actual sports pouch consisting of at least two main parts (storage parts), namely a front part and a rear part, which may be joined together with an underarm connecting piece in the example of embodiment.
- Both the front and rear part of the sports pouch include at least one practically closable storage compartment.
- the ends of the sports pouch may be fitted with shoulder and underarm strap attachments on the side and according to this invention the sports pouch is complemented with easily removeable length-adjustable straps - at least one underarm strap and at least one shoulder strap, which are fitted with attachments for fastening to the attachments on the sports pouch (e.g., a male-female system).
- the sports pouch may be easily fitted with one or more reflective elements in chosen locations. Both the front and rear halves of the pouch may be padded on the inside for the wearer's higher comfort.
- the sports pouch is affixed to the wearer's body using the shoulder and underarm straps so that it is placed with its front half on the wearer's chest, the rear half on the wearer's back, the shoulder strap is run across the wearer's shoulder and the underarm strap is run under the wearer's arm; the straps are fastened together using their attachments.
- the wearer has the underarm buckle of the pouch under the arm opposite to the arm that the underarm strap is run under. This design ensures that the sports pouch is firmly affixed to the body and the risk of theft is minimised thanks to at least two straps and better fixation to the body. For the wearer, this means that the pouch does not move, slip or bounce when the wearer moves.

Abstract
Design of a sports pouch (1) affixed using a shoulder strap (2) and an underarm strap (3), with the actual sports pouch consisting of at least two main sections (5, 14) (storage parts), namely a front (5) and rear (14) part, which may be joined in the exemplary embodiment with an underarm connecting piece (4). Both the front part and the rear part of the sports pouch include at least one practically closable storage compartment. The ends of the sports pouch may be fitted with shoulder and underarm strap attachments on the side, and according to this invention the sports pouch is complemented with easily removable length-adjustable straps - at least one underarm strap and at least one shoulder strap, which are fitted with attachments (12, 13, 12a, 13a) for fastening to the attachments on the sports pouch (e.g., a male-female system).
Description
Sports Pouch
Technical field
The invention relates to a pouch to be carried on the wearer's body, which is intended primarily for leisure-time activities.
Current state-of-the-art
There are currently many known types of pouches or small packs that are carried on the wearer's body and affixed using straps, belts, slings or a combination thereof. A separate category is "waist packs", which are small packs (pouches, pockets and such) affixed to the body using a waist strap, which may also serve as a trouser belt. Such waist packs are usually carried in the front on the wearer's abdomen or on the wearer's back or side. Waist packs may have one or more storage compartments.
A disadvantage of the design of such waist packs is the fact that minimum fixation, that is, simple affixation to the body using a single strap, makes the storage compartment, that is the pocket, rather unstable, and activities involving intensive movements are hindered by the fact that the waist pack is not firmly seated on the body, moves in various directions and may bounce, which is unsatisfactory for certain kinds of sport or exercise.
Another disadvantage is the relatively easy theft of a whole waist pack or its contents, as it is only affixed to the body with a single strap and its pockets are usually fitted with zips on the front, outer side of the waist pack. Another disadvantage is a low number of storage compartments, as most known waist packs usually have one or two storage compartments.
Statement of invention
The disadvantages described above are largely eliminated by the design of a sports pouch affixed using a shoulder strap and an underarm strap, with the actual sports pouch consisting of at least two main parts (storage parts), namely a front part and a rear part, which may be joined together with an underarm connecting piece in the example of embodiment. Both the front and rear part of the sports pouch include at least one practically closable storage compartment. The ends of the sports pouch may be fitted with shoulder and underarm strap attachments on the side and according to this invention the sports pouch is complemented with easily removeable length-adjustable straps - at least one underarm strap and at least one shoulder strap, which are fitted with attachments for fastening to the attachments on the sports pouch (e.g., a male-female system). The sports pouch may be easily fitted with one or more reflective elements in chosen locations. Both the front and rear halves of the pouch may be padded on the inside for the wearer's higher comfort.
The sports pouch is affixed to the wearer's body using the shoulder and underarm straps so that it is placed with its front half on the wearer's chest, the rear half on the wearer's back, the shoulder strap is run across the wearer's shoulder and the underarm strap is run under the wearer's arm; the straps are fastened together using their attachments. In the example of embodiment, the wearer has the underarm buckle of the pouch under the arm opposite to the arm that the underarm strap is run under. This design ensures that the sports pouch is firmly affixed to the body and the risk of theft is minimised thanks to at least two straps and better fixation to the body. For the wearer, this means that the pouch does not move, slip or bounce when the wearer moves.
Example of embodiment
Sports pouch I consists of front part 5 and rear part 14 of pouch 1_, which are permanently joined together using underarm connecting piece 4. Pouch I is fitted with shoulder strap 2 and underarm strap 3 and the ends of pouch I are fitted with fasteners 12, 13, and 12a and 13a of the two straps. Front part 5 of pouch i, as well as rear part 14 of pouch l^ have padding 25 and 28 on the inside. Pouch 1 then includes two pockets 26 and 27 on the inner back side and two pockets 23 and 24 on the inner chest side, whilst pocket 6 with access hole 7 and pocket 8 with access hole 9 are formed on the outer side of front part 5. Additionally, outer back pocket 15 and 17 with access holes 16 and 18 are located on rear half 14 of pouch L A back guard or a removable pocket or other accessories of the user's choice may be attached to outer rear part 14 of pouch 1 and/or front part 5 of pouch 1. Pouch 1 is complemented with reflective elements 10 and 19 and possibly rivets (adornments) 1J_ and 20.
Industrial applicability
The sports pouch is usable in various sports, sport or exercise activities for carrying various accessories such as phones, meters, documents, etc.
