Abstract

L'invention concerne un système de chenille destiné à être monté sur un véhicule à la place d'un ensemble pneu/roue OEM rotatif, comprenant : un châssis. Une roue motrice est montée rotative sur le châssis, pouvant être reliée de manière fonctionnelle à l'arbre d'entraînement du véhicule, et a un diamètre compris entre 65 % et 100 % du diamètre de pneu OEM. Des ensembles roues libres avant et arrière sont montés sur le châssis. Une chenille sans fin ayant une surface intérieure est disposée autour de la roue motrice, des ensembles roues libres avant et arrière. La chenille sans fin comporte une partie non supportée entre la roue motrice et l'un des ensembles roues libres avant et arrière. La partie non supportée a une longueur et un centre. La partie non supportée dévie d'une distance comprise entre 8 % et 12 % de sa longueur lors de l'application d'une force de 25-lb au niveau de son centre.
