Description

A Scissors Having Pouch-like Container Used At Aortic Valve Surgery
Technical Field
Invention relates to a scissors having pouch-like container, which is used at calcific aortic valve surgery to prevent the falling of the calcifications into the ventricle and to provide the retaining of the calcifications or the falling of the calcifications into the said container.
Prior Art
Many surgical scissors having different forms and technical parameters, are used in the calcific aortic valve surgery. As classical surgical scissors can be used, further that scissors having different forms can be used according to the sensibility of the operation area.
In present technique, undesirable cases occur during the calcific aortic valve surgery such as the falling of the calcifications into the ventricle. The falling of the calcifications into the ventricle, increase the particle embolism at early period after the surgical operation and can cause the palsy risks.
In order to prevent the falling of the calcifications into the ventricle, the surgeon moves away the scissors from the operation area after each cutting process. Moving away the scissors from the operation area after each cutting process, causes the extension of the operation time and further that the surgeon makes more effort.
A patent search has been made to determine the present technique, there is a patent application having the TR2015/16182 number. This application discloses a surgical scissors, which is used at cardiovascular surgery, having an end part can be adjusted in different angles. Said scissors comprises at least two scissors ends cutting the veins, at least two handles fixed to the scissors ends and providing the retaining and the using of the scissors, at least two pulling apparatuses mounted to the scissors handle to adjust the scissors end in different angles and at least two lifter springs moving after the pulling of the pulling apparatuses which provides the fixing of the scissors end in different angles.
Brief Explanation of the Invention The object of the invention is to improve a surgical scissors with different technical parameters and providing additional advantages to the presently used scissors at calcific aortic valve surgery.
I n a preferred application of the invention, a pouch-like container has been formed on any one of the cutting edges which realize the cutting process. Another object of the invention is to provide the falling of the calcifications into the said pouch-like container which has been formed on any one of the cutting edges.
Another object of the invention is to prevent the falling of the calcifications into the ventricle after the cutting process thanks to the pouch-like container which has been formed on any one of the cutting edges. Another object of the invention is to decrease the particle embolism at early period after the surgical operation and prevent the palsy risks in a way that by preventing the falling of the calcifications into the ventricle.
I n a preferred application of the invention, the pouch-like container is configured at the lower jaw, after the upper movable jaw of the scissors realizes the cutting process, the falling of the calcifications into the container is provided.
Another object of the invention is to provide longer operation time at the same operation area without moving away the scissors from the operation area after each cutting process, thanks to the falling of the calcifications into the container.
Another object of the invention is, the surgeon makes less effort thanks to the falling of the calcifications into the container after the cutting process. Explanation of the Figures

Figure-1 depicts a scissors (100) used at the calcific aortic valve surgery, which comprises comprising cutting edges (103) on the ends of the body extensions (102) which are articulated with a motion point (104) to realize the cutting motion. The scissors (100) includes a pouch-like container (105) with a reservoir (1051), formed on any one of the cutting edges (103). On the other hand, the outer surface (1052) of the pouch-like container (105) has a cambered surface (1053).
Said pouch-like container (105) is positioned at the outer edge surface (1022) of the end area (1021) of the body extension (102). Said pouch-like container (105) is preferably made of same metal material of the scissors (100) and the pouch-like container (105) is fixed to the outer edge surface (1022) of the scissors (100) by welding method.
However, it is possible to fix the pouch-like container (105) to the end area (1021) of the body extension (102) by a fitting method instead of the welding method. In order to realize the fitting method, a fitting groove (1023) is formed on the body extension (102) (See figure-3).
Also, a fitting bulge (1054) is formed on the pouch-like container (105) edge which is close to the body extension (102) in order to fix the pouch-like container (105) to the fitting groove (1023). This fitting bulge (1054) is installed to the fitting groove (1023) by the shrink fit method or the close fit method and the two parts are fixed to each other. It is possible to fix the pouch-like container (105) to the end area (1021) of the body extension (102) by different techniques and methods. If the fitting groove (1023) and the fitting bulge (1054) are used, the pouch-like container (105) can be made of plastic, composite or plastic based material. On the other hand, it is possible that the pouch-like container (105) can have modular (detachable) form. So, the pouch-like container (105) can be sterilized or can be disposable (in case of it is made of plastic material).
The usage of the scissors (100) is as follows. Two body extensions (102) of the scissors (100) are moved around the motion point (104) by the fingers passed through the finger gaps (101). The cutting edges (103) realize the cutting process by the open-close motion of the fingers. For example; the calcifications fall into the reservoir (1051) of the pouch-like container (105) directly, in case of the cutting of the calcifications at calcific aortic valve surgery. Thus, the falling risk of the calcifications into the ventricle after the cutting process, are eliminated. Outer surface (1052) of the pouch-like container (105) is completely smooth and it has a cambered surface (1053) without corner. The cambered surfaces (1053) are formed in order to prevent the distortions because of the friction that the scissors work in sensitive operation area and to prevent the tissue damage. The scissors works in sensitive area by this aerodynamic structure without any risk.
Figure-4 depicts the right-angled and right-handed scissors (100) for noncoroner cusp resection. Said scissors (100) has a pouch-like container (105). Said pouch-like container (105) can be applied to the any of the surgical scissors used in surgical operations and cannot be limited only with the scissors models depicted. Said pouch-like container (105) can be applied to the surgical scissors having flat ends, curved surface, angled, right-angled.
