Description

Gravure coater
The present invention relates to a gravure coater suitable for applying a fiber treatment agent having a viscosity of 2000 cps or more to the surface of a woven or knitted fabric.
In textile printing, the treatment agent is generally placed in a cell (small concave recess) provided on the outer peripheral surface of the textile roll by immersing the textile roll in an ink pan containing a treatment agent (treatment liquid). Using a doctor blade that is in contact with the outer peripheral surface of the rotating printing roll, scrape off the excess processing agent and transfer the processing agent to the surface of the printed material (woven or knitted fabric) that passes between the printing roll and the pressure roller. The viscosity of a typical treatment agent is less than 2,000 cps at 25 ° C.
However, when a treating agent is applied to the surface of a thin woven or knitted fabric having a basis weight of, for example, about 130 g / m 2 by using a general gravure coater using such a treating agent, the treating agent constitutes the woven or knitted fabric. There was a problem of passing through the gap between the fibers and passing through to the opposite surface.
Further, as a fabric that has been difficult to reverse the moisture absorbed so far and does not feel sticky due to perspiration, for example, in Patent Document 1 below, a water-repellent layer is provided only on the one-sided convex portion of the surface of the fiber fabric. What has been formed is disclosed.
However, it is difficult to produce a woven or knitted fabric having water repellency on one side and water absorption on the other side using a conventional gravure coater using a treatment agent having the above viscosity containing a water repellent. For example, when printing is performed on a thin fabric having a fabric weight of 130 g / m 2 or less, the water repellent contained in the treatment agent passes through the fabric and penetrates to the opposite surface. There was a problem that the water absorption was hindered and the wearing feeling was worsened.
In order to prevent such treatment agent from passing through, it is conceivable to increase the viscosity of the treatment agent. For example, it has a viscosity of 2,000 to 100,000 cps, particularly a viscosity of more than 6,000 cps at 25 ° C. If the processing agent is used for printing, the inside of the cell may not be completely filled with the treatment agent, resulting in poor transfer to the woven or knitted fabric, resulting in a decrease in product quality, and high speed. There is a problem that productivity is not good due to the difficulty in processing.

Hereinafter, although the gravure coater of this invention is demonstrated using drawing, this invention is not limited to the thing of the structure illustrated in drawing.
[Embodiment 1 of the present invention]
In the gravure coater of the first embodiment shown in FIG. 1, a printing roll 1 in which a plurality of cells 2 are arranged on an outer peripheral surface and a pressure roller 3 are arranged so as to sandwich a woven or knitted fabric 9, and this printing is performed. A treatment agent scraping device 4 (in this case, a doctor blade 4) is provided so as to come into contact with the roll 1, and excess treatment agent 6 is scraped off by the doctor blade 4 by the rotation of the printing roll 1, and the cell 2, a predetermined amount of the processing agent 6 enters, and the processing agent 6 is transferred to the woven or knitted fabric 9 by pressure bonding with the pressure roller 3.
FIG. 1 shows a state in which the treatment agent 6 in the cell 2 is transferred to the woven or knitted fabric 9. The woven or knitted fabric 9 is fed in the direction indicated by the arrow, and the printing roll 1 rotates in the clockwise direction. The pressure roller 3 rotates counterclockwise.
In the gravure coater of the present invention, the printing roll 1 and the doctor blade 4 are brought into contact with each other so as to form an acute angle with the upper part opened, and the processing agent reservoir is located at a position where the printing roll 1 and the doctor blade 4 are in contact with each other. 5 is formed (see FIG. 1). At this time, “the upper part is in contact with an open acute angle” means that the upper surface of the doctor blade 4 is inclined upward from the horizontal direction so that the treatment agent 6 can be stored. It means that at the contact position of the doctor blade 4, the tangential plane contacting the surface (curved surface) of the printing roll 1 and the upper surface of the doctor blade 4 are in contact with each other at an angle of less than 90 °.
In the treatment agent reservoir 5 in the gravure coater of the present invention, a fiber treatment agent having a viscosity in the range of 2,000 to 100,000 cps at 25 ° C. is stored as the treatment agent 6. As the treatment agent 6, various fiber treatment agents known so far can be used, and water repellents, water absorption agents, antistatic agents, etc., which are known as post-treatment agents for woven and knitted fabrics, are used. Any of the treating agents can be used. For example, in order to provide water repellency only to one side of a woven or knitted fabric, various commercially available processing agents including fluorine-based water repellent, silicon-based water repellent, urethane-based water repellent, etc. can be used, and a thickener is added. Then, the viscosity may be adjusted so as to be within the above viscosity range.
In the present invention, the supply of the processing agent 6 to the processing agent reservoir 5 may be performed manually or automatically controlled mechanically.
Reference numeral 7 in FIG. 1 is an auxiliary doctor blade provided to scrape again the surface of the printing roll 1 scraped by the doctor blade 4, and is provided as necessary. An ink pan 8 is provided below the textile roll 1.
A commercially available roll can be used as the printing roll 1 in the gravure coater of the present invention, and a steel roll is generally used, but is not limited thereto. In the present invention, in order to ensure good transferability of the paste-like treatment agent 6 having the above viscosity, the volume of the cell 2 (cell volume) existing on the outer peripheral surface of the printing roll 1 is 20 to 500 g / m 2. It is preferable that
The cross-sectional shape of the cell 2 in the present invention is not particularly limited, and may be a V-shape, a concave shape, a concave shape with an upward spread, a U-shape, and the like, and the cell 2 is formed on the outer peripheral surface of the printing roll 1. It may be provided in a pattern.
Further, as the pressure roller 3 for pressure bonding with the textile roll 1 during printing, a rubber roll is generally used, but a metal roller may be used.
The doctor blade 4 and the auxiliary doctor blade 7 in the gravure coater of the present invention may be made of a material softer than the material of the printing roll 1, and may be made of plastic (for example, made of fluororesin) or rubber. Alternatively, it may be made of metal.
The gravure coater of the present invention having the structure shown in FIG. 1 is suitable for applying a fiber treatment agent having a viscosity at 25 ° C. of 2,000 to 100,000 cps, particularly 6,000 to 30,000 cps. The woven or knitted fabric 9 as the printing material may be a natural fiber such as cotton or linen, a synthetic fiber such as polyester or nylon, or a woven fabric or a knitted fabric.
In addition, the gravure coater of the present invention having the above-described structure is obtained by applying a treatment agent having the above viscosity containing a water repellent to one surface of a thin woven or knitted fabric having a basis weight of about 130 g / m 2 . It is suitable for producing a fabric having excellent water absorption and quick drying properties. When producing a woven or knitted fabric having such characteristics, it is arranged on the outer peripheral surface of the printing roll 1. The surface state in which the treatment agent 6 in the cell 2 is attached only to the surface portion of the convex portion on one surface of the woven or knitted fabric 9, and the water repellent is not attached to the concave portion (the space between the fibers) of the fabric surface. And Thereby, the convex part of the woven or knitted fabric 9 exhibits water repellency, and moisture is absorbed in the concave part.
The gravure coater of the present invention is not only suitable for application of a paste-like treatment agent to a thin woven or knitted fabric having a basis weight of 130 g / m 2 or less, but also to a thick fabric having a basis weight of 200 g / m 2 or more. It can also be applied to the coating.
[Embodiment 2 of the present invention]
In the gravure coater of the second embodiment shown in FIG. 2, a doctor roll 4 that rotates counterclockwise is provided instead of the doctor blade 4 of FIG. 1, and by this doctor roll 4, the printing roll 1. A predetermined amount of processing agent is filled in the cells 2 formed on the outer peripheral surface. In the gravure coater of FIG. 2, the outer peripheral surface of the printing roll 1 and the outer peripheral surface of the doctor roll 4 are in contact with each other so as to form an acute angle with the upper part opened. A treatment agent reservoir 5 in which the treatment agent 6 having viscosity is stored is formed. The doctor roll 4 in FIG. 2 is generally made of metal.
As shown in FIG. 2, the gravure coater of the present invention having a structure in which the treatment agent 6 is filled inside the cell 2 by the doctor roll 4 has the above-mentioned viscosity on one surface of the woven or knitted fabric 9. A treatment agent having a viscosity of 50,000 cps or more, which is particularly suitable for applying the treatment agent 6 and has been difficult to perform printing with a conventional gravure coater, can also be applied.
[Embodiment 3 of the present invention]
The gravure coater of the third embodiment shown in FIG. 3 is different from the gravure coater of FIGS. 1 and 2 in that the printing roll 1 is disposed above the pressure roller 3 and is stored in the treatment agent reservoir 5. The treatment agent 6 is filled in the cell 2 formed on the outer peripheral surface of the textile roll 1 by rotation and immediately after being scraped off by the doctor blade 4, and transferred to the woven or knitted fabric 9.
Since the gravure coater having the structure shown in FIG. 3 can easily remove the printing roll 1, the workability is good.
[Production example of water-absorbing and quick-drying knitted fabric using the gravure coater of the present invention]
The printing roll is a commercially available printing roll (steel gravure roll) with a cell volume of 40 g / m 2 , the pressure roller is a commercially available rubber roller, and both the doctor blade and auxiliary doctor blade as a treatment agent scraping device are commercially available. A gravure coater of the present invention having the structure shown in FIG.
On the other hand, a cotton knitted fabric having a basis weight of 200 g / m 2 is prepared as a base material for water-absorbing / quick-drying knitted fabric, and a commercially available water emulsion type fluorine-based water repellent having a viscosity at 25 ° C. of 10,000 cps is prepared. The preparation was prepared.
Using the gravure coater of the present invention having the above structure, a structure in which the water repellent is attached only to the convex portion of the concavo-convex structure on one side of the substrate by applying the treatment agent to one side of the substrate. A water-absorbing and quick-drying knitted fabric could be produced. At this time, the transferability of the treatment agent to the substrate was good, and the treatment agent did not break through.
It was confirmed that the knitted fabric thus obtained has excellent water absorption and has a quick drying property that does not feel sticky when sweating.
The gravure coater of the present invention having the above-described structure is filled with the treatment agent into the cell formed on the outer peripheral surface of the printing roll when a high-viscosity treatment agent is applied to one surface of the woven or knitted fabric. Since the treatment agent can be reliably transferred to the woven or knitted fabric without causing defects, it is particularly useful for the production of a water-absorbing and quick-drying woven or knitted fabric.
