Abstract

Disclosed is an electrical vehicle battery management system that manages charging and discharging of a battery unit of an electrical vehicle. The battery management system is operable to determine from sensor signals parameters of battery modules of the battery unit that are indicative of a state of charge of the battery modules, and to adjust charge stored within the battery modules mutually to balance charge stored within the battery modules; and to provide user information indicative of a status of operation of the battery unit via a user interface to a user of the electrical vehicle.
