Abstract

The present invention is a tweeter speaker (10) with special curved stainless steel mesh wire netting (50) on the front end surface (40) of the speaker to facilitate nesting of swiftlets, and to produce higher quality nests. It is designed to fit nicely into the ninety-degree corners of nesting planks (60) where swiftlets prefer most to build their nests. By so doing, low-priced ninety-degree corner nests will be replaced with higher quality, better-shaped nests with higher values, Swiftlets are attracted to sounds produced by tweeter speakers. With the stainless steel mesh wire netting (50) immediately on the front surface of the speaker, swiftlets are attracted to hang on to the mesh, followed by building their nests there. The stainless steel mesh wire netting (50) allows sounds to penetrate and be broadcasted. It also provides very good grip for swiftlets to hang on to it. But most important of all, it facilitates the building of nests on it. Building bird nests on wire mesh is much more secure and effortless than building on wooden nesting planks. The major components of this present invention are: a tweeter speaker (10) with parabolic curved surface (40) comprising a stainless steel mesh wire netting (50), middle ring mounting (30), a piezo or coil tweeter (21), a rear cover (20) with four units of strengthened plastic edges (41) for screw holes (43).

Description

TWEETER SPEAKER WITH CURVATURE
TECHfN!CAL FIELD
This present invention generally improves the design and functions of tweeter speaker being used in swiftlet {birds which produce edible nests) farming. It aims to facilitate and encourage swiftlets to build nests on the steel mesh wire netting of the tweeter speaker, and produce better quality edible bird nests with better shapes.
BACKGROU D ART
In a swiftlet house, nesting planks are fastened to the ceiling in rows, with cross-over nesting planks perpendicular to the main nesting planks, The distance between rows and cross-over planks vary from house to house.
Tweeter speakers are fixed on the nesting planks to produce artificial sounds to attract swiftlets to inhabit and to nest.
Since swiftlets are attracted by the artificial sounds, they usually prefer to build their nests as close as possible to the tweeter speakers producing the sounds. As the present design of tweeter speakers available in the market do not have the appropriate space for swiftlets to securely build their nests on, swiftlets usually choose to build their nests first on the structurally more secure ninety-degree corners of the nesting planks, and then only on the flat surfaces of the nesting planks nearby the tweeter speakers.
Although the surfaces of nesting planks are engraved with groove lines, swiftlets need to spend extra efforts to 'hang o to the planks during resting, more so to build their nests on them. Consequently, nest production is slowed, and mainly with ninety-degree corner nests. The shape of the harvested raw nest is an important factor in the determination of the price of the raw nests. Ninety-degree corner nests fetch very low price compared to well-formed better-shaped nests,
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
The object of the present invention is to provide an appropriate and conducive space right on the tweeter Itself, for swiftlets to securely hulld their nests o , and to produce well-formed, better-shaped nests which fetch higher prices.
The front surface of the tweeter speakeris a smooth parabolic curve, which ss covered and secured with stainless steel mesh netting. The dimension of the tweeter speaker is designed to fit comfortably In the ninety-degree corner of the nesting planks, and with ease of Installation. Stainless steel mesh netting directly In front of the tweeter lures swiftlets directly onto the tweeter to nest With the help of the netting, swiftlets 'hanging* on to it or building nests on it becomes effortless.
Fungi and mould problems are common in swiftlet houses, But with this invention, since the stainless steel mesh is not in direct contact with the wooden planks,, the probability of fungi and mould problems are very much r duced. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
FIG.l is the side view illustrating the tweeter speaker installed on a ninety- degree corner of nesting planks,
FIG. 2 is the side view Illustrating the side view design of the tweeter, RG. 3 is the front view of the tweeter speaker with dimensions, it clearly shows the stainless steel mesh wire on top on the front end of the speaker..
FIG, 4 is the cross-sectionai view of the tweeter speaker.
DETAILED DESCRIPTIONS OF PRE ERRE EMBODIMENTS
This tweeter speaker (10) is made from four major components; the main stainless steel mesh wire (SO) is fixed and mounted on the fron parabolic curved cover (40). The front cover is glued on the middle ring (30). The middle ring is screwed (80) on the rear cover (20} where the piezo buzzer (21) Is located inside. The brand or model number of this speaker is engraved or stamped on the back cover (20), This tweeter speaker (10) Is designed with a parabolic curve at front end (40), which enables the surface to be smooth. The overall height of the tweeter speaker is around 91.2mm, to fit to commonly used 100mm to !SOmm- idtb nesting planks. The width of the tweeter speaker is around 171.2mm, The depth of the tweeter speakers 62.54mm; this is to ensure the availabie space atthe ninety-degree corner of the nesting planks (60) Is enough for the tweeter to fit in. The clearance from the rear cover (20) of the tweeter speaker to the pointed edge of the ninety-degree corner nesting planks (60) is around 25.12mm.
The stainless steel wire mesh (SO) is securely fastened and exactly in the same curvature of the tweeter speaker front end {40} surface curvature, The edges of the stainless steel mesh (50) are finished without any
protrusion of loose wires, by bending them inward and be concealed behind the smoothened plastic edges of the tweeter speaker. The plastic around the edges (41) boles reserved for screws are strengthened with thicker plastic to ensure the tweeter speaker does not crack or break easily.
