Abstract

The present invention relates to a generator silencer and, more particularly, to a generator silencer capable of precipitating and discharging hazardous components of exhaust gas discharged from an emergency generator. A generator silencer according to the present invention comprises a sound-absorbing case, a screw, a tank, and a spraying means. The sound-absorbing case has an inflow opening formed therein such that exhaust gas flows in, has an outflow opening formed therein such that the exhaust gas flows out, and has a sound-absorbing wall for absorbing noise generated by the exhaust gas. The screw is mounted inside the sound-absorbing case along the direction of flow of the exhaust gas in order to disperse the exhaust gas to the sound-absorbing wall. The spraying means comprises: a spraying nozzle mounted on the sound-absorbing wall such that water contained in the tank can be spayed to the exhaust gas; a pump for supplying the water from the tank to the spraying nozzle; and a spraying tube connected from the pump to the spraying nozzle. According to the present invention, water is sprayed to the exhaust gas discharged to the sound-absorbing case using the spraying means such that fumes included in the exhaust gas precipitate. Therefore, the silencer can reduce hazardous components in the discharged exhaust gas.
