Description

DEVICE FOR HOLDING STAPLES OR NAILS WITH A MAGNET
OBJECT OF THE INVENTION The object of the invention refers to a device that holds, by means of magnets, staples or nails for subsequently hitting those with a hammer, thus preventing operators from having accidents.
The present invention may be included, thus, in the technical field of building and livestock, in particular, for repairing and building fences and every type of work requiring hammering staples or nails.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION Placing inner and perimeter fences in a property involves using staples, nails, wire and hammers. Hitting onto the head of the staple and/or nail is not always performed on the right site, which may cause accidents for the person carrying out with the work. The same happens in the field of building. A tool providing for an easier hammering task and allowing developing the activity more quickly and safely, results in benefits for the health and professionality of the activity.
There is no background in the state of the art being similar to the device disclosed herein, based on the use of magnets holding the staple or nail with the purpose of placing it safely, thus preventing the operators hands from being hit.
DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
The present invention refers to a device intended for facilitating the placement of attachment pieces, such as staples and nails, into wood, concrete or any other element where it is necessary to place said attachment pieces.
Therefore, an aspect of the invention refers to a device for holding staples and/or nails with a magnet characterized in that it comprises:
- an elongated main body being provided, at the surface thereof, with magnet plates configured for holding the staples and/or nails,
- a ring-shaped body comprising magnets inside thereof, said body being connected to one of the ends of the main elongated body and configured for press-holding staples and/or nails in the position where these will be hammered in and
- staple or nail pulling means at the other end of the elongated main body. In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the main body is made of wood or plastic.
In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the ring-shaped body is made of iron.
In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the pulling elements comprise a bent tip.
The device thus described slightly holds and fixes the staple or nail while the operator hits with the hammer. It also comprises pulling elements for taking off staples or nails being wrongly hammered, making repairs or being used as an element for fastening thereof to the operator belt or other accessory.
DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
The figure represents, with an illustrative and non-limiting purpose, the following: FIG. 1 .- It shows a top elevation view of the device of the invention.
FIG. 2.- It shows a side elevation view of the device shown in figure 1 . PREFERRED EMBODIMENT OF THE INVENTION
The following is a detailed description, with the help of figures 1 -2 referred above, of an exemplary preferred embodiment of the present invention. Figure 1 shows the device made up of a piece of wood or plastic forming the main body (1 ), as a kind of handle where magnet plates (2) are embedded to which the staples (5) or nails used in the work will "stick". The cylindrical body (3) being ring-shaped has the suitable size for the staples or nails. Said body (3), connected to one of the ends of the main body (1 ), has magnet points for press-holding the staples and/or nails that will be hit by the hammer. At the other end of the main body (1 ) where the ring-shaped body (3) is arranged, there is a bent tip (4) that will be used for repairs or fixings in the work for placing the staples or nails. Figure 2 shows the same elements from a side view of the device.
