Abstract

A system is provided. The system comprises a processing system and a headphone system comprising an electrode and a transducer. The processing system is configured to carry out a method for determining a change in hearing response. The method comprises causing the transducer to output an auditory stimulus, detecting a first electrical characteristic representing a particular individual's response to the auditory stimulus at a first time, and recording first data associated with the first electrical characteristic. The method further comprises retrieving second data from a storage device, wherein the second data is associated with a second electrical characteristic representing the particular individual's response to the auditory stimulus at a second time, earlier than the first time. The method further comprises comparing at least one feature of the first data with at least one feature of the second data and determining, based on the comparison, that there has been a change in hearing response.
