Abstract
A system (1) is described for managing health care reservations in health facilities comprising: at least one server (2) configured for managing a database (10, 20); a plurality of electronic processors (14) connected to the server (2) through a network (15); and managing modules (31) configured in order to use information contained in the database (10, 20) for managing health care reservations, such managing modules (31) being stored in the server or in the electronic processors (14). A method is further described for managing health care in health facilities which uses such system (1).
Description
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR MANAGING HEALTH CARE RESERVATIONS IN HEALTH FACILITIES
The present invention refers to a system and a method for managing health care reservations in health facilities.
In particular the invention refers to a system configured for managing reservations pertaining to health visits of a user, capable of providing the user with an access to all health services, through an electronic processor such as a smartphone or a personal computer (PC) connected to a server in turn connected to public or private health facilities, verifying the suitable medical services available .
Systems and method are known for managing health care reservations, in particular health visits .
These known systems and method, however, are not satisfactory and have the problem of allowing to manage health care reservations in a single facility, not being able to manage with a single
system reservations performed in different health facilities, for example a private or public management .
Known systems and methods, moreover, do not allow that the user enters his reservations or manages the system data.
Object of the present invention is solving the above prior art problems, by providing a system and method for managing health care reservations in health facilities, which allows connecting to all public and private health facilities, which in turn have given their consent to the adhesion to the service, allowing thereby to be able to reserve any health care through an electronic processor, such as a smartphone or a personal computer (PC) , connected to the system.
The above and other objects and advantages of the invention, as will appear from the following description, are obtained with a system and method for managing health care reservations in health facilities as claimed in the respective independent claims. Preferred embodiments and non-trivial variations of the present invention are the subject matter of the dependent claims .
The present invention also deals with a
computer program product loadable in the memory of at least one processor and comprising portions of software code for performing the above method for managing health care reservations in health facilities.
The present invention further deals with a computer program product loadable in the memory of at least one electronic processor, such as a smartphone or a personal computer (PC) , and comprising portions of software code for performing the above method for managing health care reservations in health facilities.
It is intended that all enclosed claims are an integral part of the present description.
It will be immediately obvious that numerous variations and modifications (for example related to shape, sizes, arrangements and parts with equivalent functionality) can be made to what is described, without departing from the scope of the invention as appears from the enclosed claims.
The present invention will be better described by some preferred embodiments thereof, provided as a non-limiting example, with reference to the enclosed drawings, in which:
- Figure 1 shows a schematic view of a system
for managing health care reservations in health facilities according to the present invention; and
- Figure 2 is a block diagram of the method for managing health care reservations in health facilities according to the present invention. With reference to the Figures, a system 1 for managing health care reservations in health facilities according to the invention provides for an architecture comprising a server 2 configured for managing one or more Databases, DB, 10, 20 with managing programs of a known type .
The managing program is adapted to manage at least one users database 10 comprising information related to the performed reservation and information related to the user which has performed the reservation, such as for example name and surname, residence/domicile address, tax number, reference of pathologies or other health data, telephone numbers, preferred payment method, electronic mail address or user name provided in the recording and password step.
For example, information related to the performed reservation entered in the users database 10 comprise:
information related to the type of reserved health care, for example analysis, health visit, etc . ;
information related to the health facility in which the reserved health care will be performed, such as for example address, ambulatory, physician; information related to the reservation of the health care, in particular reservation date and time ;
information related to possible prescriptions to be followed before the reserved health care is performed;
information related to the results of possible health care performed previously, in particular their history, with the list of the health care, including date and type of performed health care, and data about the physician which has performed the service;
information related to the situation of the performed payments, for example payment receipt for the performed health care and history of the possible previously performed health care, and identifying code of the payment released by the public or private health facility where the reserved health care was performed;
information related to possible feedback on the service entered by the user.
The managing program is further adapted to manage at least one facilities database 20 comprising information related to the public or private health facilities where the health care is performed, which the user can reserve, such as for example health facility name, address, telephone numbers, electronic mail address.
For example, information related to the public or private health facilities entered in the facilities database 20 comprise:
information related to the type of health care which can be reserved, for example analysis, healt visit , etc . ;
information related to available physicians in the health facility;
information related to the calendar of reservations performed in the health facility, of available reservations and respective confirmations ;
information related to the payment modes available in the facility, such as for example credit card, Paypal®, prepaid credit card, bank payment, number of insurance policy;
information related to the situation of performed payments, for example payment receipt of the performed health care and history of the possible health care previously performed, and identifying code of the payment issued by the health facility;
information related to the results of the performed health care and their history, with the list of health cares, including date and type of performed health care, and data of the physician which performed the service;
information related to possible feedback on the service entered by the user.
The system 1 for managing reservations comprises managing modules 31 configured in order to use information related to the performed reservation and information related to the user contained in the users database 10, and information related to the health facilities contained in the facilities database 20 for managing health care reservations .
The system 1 for managing reservations further comprises a plurality of electronic processors, such as smartphones or personal computers (PC) , 14 connected one to the other and/or to the server 2
through a network 15, for example an internet network.
The smartphones or the electronic processors (PC) 14 are configured for managing information related to health care reservations.
In an embodiment of the system 1 for managing health care reservations according to the invention, the server 2 and optionally one of the electronic processors 14 comprises managing software modules adapted to manage the users database 10 and the facilities database 20; preferably the smartphones or the electronic processors 14 used by the user comprise managing software modules 31, in particular an APP in case of smartphones, configured for managing an entering of information in the users database 10, preferably by connecting through a Web portal, while the electronic processors (PC) 14 used by the health facilities comprise managing software modules 31 configured for managing an entering of information in the facilities database 20.
The smartphones and the electronic processors (PC) 14 of the system 1 for managing health care reservations according to the invention further comprise displaying software modules 33 adapted to
display on a video or screen all necessary information to reserve or complete the health care.
The method for managing health care reservations in health facilities according to the invention uses information collected in the users database 10 and in the facilities database 20, and comprises a prima step 101 in which the user login is performed, by using the electronic mail address or the user name provided when registering and the password stored in the users database 10.
In a second step 102, the user performs the search of the health care to be reserved by using information related to the type of health care which can be reserved contained in the facilities database 20.
In a third step 103, the user performs the choice of the public or private health facility, where the health care has to be reserved, choosing among the public or private health facilities where the health cares are performed, which the user can reserve, contained in the facilities database 20.
In a fourth step 104, the user performs the choice of date and time when the health care is reserved, by using information related to the calendar of reservations performed in the health
facility, of available reservations contained in the facilities database 20.
In a fifth step 105, the user performs the payment of the reserved health care by using one of the payment modes available in the facility choice, contained in the facilities database 20.
In a sixth step 106, there is the transmission of the confirmation of the health care reservation by the health facility, for example through a message or e-mail sent by the electronic processor 14 of the user containing the summary of place, date, time, ambulatory, physician and possible pre- visit prescriptions.
The method for managing health care reservations in health facilities according to the invention optionally provides for a seventh step 107, where a connection is performed to the calendar of dates of the reserved health care with a chance of storing on the electronic processor 14 of the user a waking up appointment notice, for example providing up to five repetitions.
The method for managing health care reservations in health facilities according to the invention optionally provides for an eighth step 108 where a connection is performed to the
appointment map of the reserved health care stored on the electronic processor 14 of the user with a reminder of distance and driving time to reach the health facility where the health care has been reserved.
Finally, there is a ninth step 109 of storing in the database user 10 and in the local memory of the electronic processor 14 of the user, data related to the reservation entered during the previous steps, thereby making it possible to read them even when the electronic processor 14 of the user is off-line and is not connected to the server 2; alternatively, a storage in the users database 10 and in the local memory of the electronic processor 14 can be performed at the end of each of the steps 101 to 106.
The method for managing health care reservations in health facilities according to the invention provides for the following optional steps, performed on the electronic processor 14 of the user: a step 110 of displaying the reservation status, a step 111 of displaying the history of health care performed by the user, a step 112 of displaying the history of payments, a step 113 of displaying the history of results and a step 114 of
entering a feedback on the service .
In particular, in the step 110 of displaying the reservation status, the user will be bale to verify the status of his reservation, with:
- the confirmation by the health facility,
- the wait for confirmation by the health facility for a payment receipt,
- a transmission of the reservation due to absence of the chosen physician (for example with a receipt of a warning through mail or sms about one week before the chosen visit and a further day before a warning or summary will be sent for the requested health care with all provided references) .
In the step 111 of displaying the history of performed health care, the user can verify at will the list of health cares, for example health visits, performed during the years through search filters, both by date and by type of health care, and the curing physician who performed the service.
In the step 112 of displaying the history of payments, the user can verify the whole history of payments, through a date filter, can print the receipt, or send to the chosen department (for example Tax Agency, work consultant, assistance services, the various tax declarations to be filed)
every time he so wishes.
In the step 113 of displaying the history of results, the user can display all results of his exams, through a different filter by date, physician, visit.
Advantageously, the system and method for managing health care reservations in health facilities of the invention allows, through public and private health facilities, a strong saving of personnel responsible for performing similar jobs to those automatically performed by the system and the method of the invention, in particular by the software (APP) of the electronic processor of the user 14, with delivery of results and their certification through the software (APP) functionality .
Advantageously, the system and method for managing health care reservations of the invention further allow a strong saving of time both for the health structures and for the user, since the user can comfortably reserve from home through the electronic processor (cellular phone/smartphone or PC) , any health care proposed by the various public and private health facilities, avoiding queues at the front offices, without constraints of times of
the public or private health facilities when reserving, will be able to pay the health care in advance, will not have to go to drugstores or other front offices to be able to print the performed payment receipt, and will further receive the results of his exams directly on his electronic processor (cellular phone/smartphone or PC) .
Claims
1. System (1) for managing health care reservations in health facilities comprising:
at least one server (2) configured for managing a database (10, 20);
a plurality of electronic processors (14) connected to the server (2) through a network (15) ; managing modules (31) configured in order to use information contained in the database (10, 20) for managing health care reservations, said managing modules (31) being stored in said server or in said electronic processors (14) ;
said database (10, 20) comprising:
information related to the reservation and information related to a user which has performed the reservation; and
information related to the public or private health facilities wherein are the health cares which the user can reserve are performed;
wherein the user is adapted to perform a reservation by using the managing modules (31) stored in at least one of said electronic processors (14) ,
wherein the managing modules (31) are configured to use the information contained in at
least one users database (10) comprising information related to the performed reservation and information related to the user which has performed the reservation, and information contained in at least one facilities database (20) comprising information related to the public or private health facilities wherein the health care which the user can reserve are performed, information entered in the users database (10) comprising :
information related to the type of reserved health care;
information related to the health facility in which the reserved health care will be performed; information related to the reservation of the health care;
information related to possible prescriptions to be followed before the reserved health care is performed;
information related to the results of possible health care performed previously;
information related to the situation of performed payments;
information related to possible feedback on the service entered by the user;
and characterized in that information entered in the facilities database (20) comprise:
information related to the type of health care which can be reserved;
information related to the available physicians in the health facility;
information related to the calendar of reservations performed in the health facility, of available reservations and of respective confirmations ;
information related to the payment modes available in the facility;
information related to the situation of performed payments;
information related to the results of performed health cares and their history;
information related to possible feedback on the service entered by the user.
2. Method for managing health care reservations in health facilities comprising the following steps :
a step (101) in which a login of a user is performed, by using information stored in an users database (10) ;
a step (102) where the user performs the
search of the health care to be reserved by using information contained in a facilities database (20) ;
a step (103) where the user performs a choice of the health facility in which the health care is reserved, choosing among the health facilities contained in the facilities database (20) ;
a step (104) where the user performs the choice of the date and time where the health care has to be reserved, by using information contained in the facilities database (20) ;
a step (105) where the user performs the payment of the reserved health care by using one of the payment modes contained in the facilities database (20) ,- a step (106) where there is a transmission of the confirmation of the reservation of the health care by the health facility;
a step (107) where a connection is performed to a calendar of the dates of the reserved health care with a chance of storing a waking up notice on the electronic processor (14) of the user;
a step (108) where a connection is performed to an appointment map of the reserved health cares stored on the electronic processor (14) of the
user;
a step (109) of storing in the database user (10) and in the local memory of the electronic processor (14) of the user, data related to the reservation entered during the previous steps, thereby making it possible to read them even when the electronic processor (14) of the user is offline and is not connected to the server (2), said step (109) of storing in the database user (10) and in the local memory of the electronic processor (14) of the user data related to the reservation being performed at the end of each of the previous steps (101, 102, 103, 104, 105, 106),
said method further comprising at least one of the following steps, performed on the electronic processor (14) of the user:
a step (110) of displaying the reservation status ;
a step (111) of displaying the history of health cares performed by the user;
a step (112) of displaying the history of payments ;
a step (113) of displaying the history of results; and
a step (114) of entering a feedback on the
service by the user.
3. Computer program product or set of computer program products loadable in the internal memory of at least one electronic processor and comprising portions of software code for performing, when the product is executed on at least one electronic processor, the method according to claim 2.
. Computer program product according to claim 3 stored on a support readable by at least one processor.
5. Computer program product according to claim 3 or 4 composed of an application (APP) loadable in the internal memory of at least one smartphone .
