Description

Display device
The present invention relates to a display device including a display panel (liquid crystal display panel or the like) for displaying an image.
Conventionally, various display devices including a cover panel 320 that protects the liquid crystal display 310 have been proposed, and for example, disclosed in Patent Document 1. Such a display device has a structure in which the liquid crystal display 310 is bonded to the cover panel 320 with a translucent adhesive 380, and an air layer between the cover panel 320 and the liquid crystal display 310 is eliminated, and the liquid crystal display is displayed. External light reflection at the interface between 310 and the air layer and at the interface between the cover panel 320 and the air layer is reduced, and the image quality of the display device is improved.
The cover panel 320 includes a translucent substrate 321 and a light shielding portion 325 formed on the rear surface of the translucent substrate 321 (see FIG. 9). The light shielding part 325 of the cover panel 320 is made of a black print layer, and has a window part 325d for visually recognizing the image of the liquid crystal display 310. Note that bonding the liquid crystal display 310 to the cover panel 320 may be referred to as “opti-carbonization”.
However, there may be a gap S in the vicinity of the window portion 325d. This gap S may be visually recognized, making it difficult to see the screen of the liquid crystal display 210. That is, the light shielding portion 225 of the cover panel 220 has two printed layers (a first light shielding layer 225a and a second light shielding layer 225b) to prevent light leakage from a minute hole called a pinhole. The gap S may be formed in the vicinity of the window portion 325d due to the step formed by forming the light-shielding portion 325 including the two printed layers, and the gap S may be visible. Further, the translucent adhesive 280 may be peeled off from the gap S generated in the vicinity of the window portion 325d.
In the present invention, the display panels 51 and 111 for displaying images, the translucent substrates 44 and 121 to which the display panels 51 and 111 are bonded by the translucent adhesives 80 and 180, and the images are visually recognized. In the first and second embodiments, the liquid crystal displays (display panels) 50 and 110 for displaying images and the liquid crystal displays (display panels) 50 and 110 are bonded by translucent adhesives 80 and 180. A vehicular display device including optical substrates 44 and 121 and light shielding portions 45 and 125 provided on the transparent substrates 44 and 121 having window portions 45d and 125d for visually recognizing images. The light shielding portions 45 and 125 include first light shielding layers 45a and 125a that are in contact with the light transmissive adhesives 80 and 180, and second light shielding layers 45b and 125b that are not in contact with the light transmissive adhesives 80 and 180. The first light shielding layers 45a and 125a overlap the light transmitting adhesives 80 and 180 in a front view, and the second light shielding layers 45b and 125b are formed on the light transmitting adhesives 80 and 180. It is the one that does not overlap in front view, The light layers 45a and 125a are brought into contact with the translucent adhesives 80 and 180, and the second light shielding layers 45b and 125b are not brought into contact with the translucent adhesives 80 and 180. , 125d is less likely to cause a gap.
また、表示パネルは、有機EL(Electro Luminescence)表示パネルであっても良い。 Note that the present invention is not limited to the first and second embodiments, and various modifications are possible. For example, as in another embodiment shown in FIG. 8, the second light shielding layer 125b is formed on the rear surface of the light-transmitting substrate 121, and the first light shielding layer 125a is formed so as to cover the second light shielding layer 125b. It may be formed. The display panel may be an organic EL (Electro Luminescence) display panel.
