Abstract

The present invention relates to a pouch type battery case for receiving both an electrolyte and an electrode assembly having a structure in which a separator is interposed between an anode and a cathode, the battery case comprising: an outer covering layer made of a polymer resin and forming the outer surface of the battery case in order to protect a battery cell from the outside; a metal layer placed on the inner side of the outer covering layer and providing moisture barrier properties and thermal conductivity; and an inner sealant layer placed on the inner side of the metal layer and made of a polymer resin having heat sealing properties, wherein at least a part of the metal layer comprises a clad layer formed of a first metal and a second metal having different moldabilities and thermal conductivities.
