Description

CAMPING TENT
OBJECT OF THE INVENTION
The present invention refers to foldable camping tents or marquees. Specifically, the objective of the present invention is a camping tent that is unfolded in an automatic, efficient and simple manner. It thereby saves time and avoids steps that hinder the assembly of the elements thereof.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
From the state of the art, for example, the document US 5645096 is known which describes a camping tent frame that is folded through compression.
Patent No. US 4858634A granted to McLeese uses the implementation of a foldable set and modules joined to each other in order to maintain an orientation when it is set up. It provides help when setting up in a quick manner and saves time for the assembly.
The present invention takes into account the orientation when setting up the camping tent. Furthermore, the invention shows how easy it is to fold and stow the marquee thanks to the fact that the tubes return to the shape prior to being folded. DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
The present invention refers to a camping tent that comprises a foldable structure comprising a plurality of tubes. The structure is heated by means of an energy source, which emits heat and distributes it throughout the tubes enabling the expansion thereof, which are made from a material with shape memory.
As a result, the main objective of the present invention is to provide a quick, simple and efficient way of structuring the camping tent. Another objective of the present invention is to save time in the tedious assembly of the conventional system for setting up camping tents.
The energy source with which the tubes are unfolded is water vapor that is introduced into them at a high temperature and high pressure. The tubes that make up the structure of the tent are joined among each other by the ends thereof by means of a joining through which the water vapor is introduced. Said joining part enables the water vapor to be distributed to all the tubes in order to perform the unfolding, precisely thanks to the fact that the tubes are made of a material with shape memory. This enables them to start extending as the pressurized, hot fluid passes through them. A canvas is arranged on the structure that enables the space of the camping tent to be closed and that preferably has a door to facilitate access to the inside of the tent one assembled. Another advantage of the present invention is that it comprises holes in the other end of the tubes that enable the outlet of water vapor when the tent is to be folded. Thus, the accumulation of waste inside the tubes is prevented.
DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
As a complement to the present description, and for the purpose of helping to make the characteristics of the invention more readily understandable, in accordance with a preferred practical exemplary embodiment thereof, a set of drawings is attached as an integral part of said description, which, by way of illustration and not limitation, represent the following:
Figure 1 shows a perspective view of the camping tent.
Figure 2 shows a perspective view of the structure of the camping tent.
Figures 3A-B show elevation and profile views of the tubes that make up the structure.
Figure 4 shows a view of a folded tube.
Figures 5A-B show an upper view of the camping tent, without the canvas in Figure 5A and with the canvas in Figure 5B.
PREFERRED EMBODIMENT OF THE INVENTION
What follows is a description, with the help of Figures 1 to 5, of an exemplary embodiment of the invention.
Figure 1 shows the camping tent of the present invention. Said camping tent comprises a structure and a canvas (3) that is arranged on said structure. The tent is foldable so that, when it is not being used, it is placed in the folded position and occupies the least amount of storage space. Specifically, in Figure 1 it has been represented in the unfolded position and the canvas (3) and a door (4) designed in the canvas (3) to allow access to the inside can be seen.
The structure comprises, as seen in Figure 2, a plurality of tubes (1 ), joined to each other by one of the ends thereof by means of a joining part (5) comprising a hole (6) for the passage of a hot fluid such that, when said hot fluid is introduced through the inlet hole (6), it passes through all the tubes (1 ). The tubes (1 ) are made of a material with shape memory such that they go from a folded position to an unfolded position when the hot fluid passes through them. In an exemplary embodiment wherein the camping tent comprises four tubes (1 ), the joining part (5) comprises four connections, one corresponding to each tube (1 ) in order to ensure the correct distribution of the fluid through them all.
Preferably, the pressurized, hot fluid that is introduced into the tubes (1 ) is pressurized water vapor. To be able to remove the fluid from inside of the tubes (1 ) when the unfolding of the tent has ended, in the free end thereof the tubes (1 ) comprise an outlet hole (2) arranged in the free end of each of the tubes (1 ). Said outlet holes (2) can be seen in Figure 2 and are seen more clearly in Figures 3A-B.
Likewise, in Figures 3A-B it can be seen how the tubes (1 ) are preferably made up of a plurality of ducts joined to each other. This characteristic can also be seen in Figure 4 where one of the folded tubes (1 ) has been represented. The fact that the tubes (1 ) comprise a plurality of ducts facilitates the folding.
In Figure 5, an upper view of the structure has been represented in which the tubes (1 ), which are four in this case, the joining part (5) and the inlet hole (6) are seen. In Figure 6 an upper view is also shown, in this case with the canvas (3) already arranged on the structure. The door (4) can also be seen.
Preferably, in order to ensure that the fluid introduced is at the suitable temperature and pressure, it is introduced from a pump into which water or another substance is placed and that comprises a manometer or another device that enables, upon actuating the pump, the pressure at which the fluid comes out to be controlled. As described previously, in a preferred exemplary embodiment the fluid to be used is pressurized water vapor.
