Abstract

The present invention refers to a mobile phone cover formed by three surfaces being articulated in triptych fashion, where the central surface is configured for accommodating a mobile phone and where each of the side surfaces comprises a screen. Said cover allows enhancing the field of vision for improving the experience when using multimedia content in the mobile devices.

Description

SMARTPHONE COVER WITH ADDITIONAL DOUBLE SCREEN OBJECT OF THE INVENTION
The present invention belongs to protecting covers for mobile phones. In particular, the present invention refers to a cover which can have attached thereto two screens so as to enhance visibility and use of the multimedia content of mobile devices, providing for a higher space resolution, thus improving the user experience without having to purchase or obtain bigger size devices. BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
Conventional Smartphones and mobile devices with a screen, such as for example iPads, laptop computers or any other device having a screen among those currently used, are not provided with any type of additional screen.
Currently, there are keyboard covers such as that disclosed in patent US6,324,005 B1 , however the cover disclosed in said document does not comprise additional screens. There are also known covers featuring solar panels charging the mobile batteries, as that described in the document US20150256026 A1 .
A currently existing cover only protects the back of the Smartphone, having openings for the buttons such as that for the camera (see Patent US12949382).
Some currently existing covers have a part protecting the front and another for the back of the mobile phone, in the form of a book keeping the Smartphone inside and having openings for buttons such as that for the camera (see document US2015- 0151515A1 ).
Unlike known covers, the present invention not only provides a device or accessory that protects the mobile telephone, but it also provides additional screens which allow enhancing the field of vision of the user. DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
The present invention refers to a cover in the form of a foldable triptych integrating screen at both sides of the mobile phone, thus enhancing the field of vision so as to enhance the experience of using the multimedia content in the mobile devices.
This invention is an accessory which will be foldable at the sides thereof, improving thus the ergonomics regarding the cover portability. This cover will be foldable so as to open or close both screens, which are attached in such a way that opening or closing thereof does not affect the central mobile phone in any way.
Then, a first aspect of the present invention refers to a mobile phone cover characterized in that it comprises:
- a laminar body divided into three surfaces in a triptych-like fashion, wherein the central surface is configured for accommodating the mobile phone and each of the side surfaces comprises a screen, and
- articulating elements located at each side of the central surface, wherein the articulating elements are configured for articulating or folding, with a variable angle, the two side surfaces towards the front and/or rear part of the mobile device.
In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the articulating elements are hinges. In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the cover comprises buttons configured for keeping control of the volume and of the mobile phone screen turn on,
The foldable cover is configures for being able to connect or link to the mobile device main screen by means of an application.
The cover of the present invention has advantages as, for example, it allows the user to unfold it, both for use or storage thereof in a place, thus avoiding occupying big spaces and contributing to portability thereof; furthermore it allows watching the multimedia content in a better way, under conditions of wider dimensions and better visibility for the user, while giving protection an rigidity to the screen position. By means of the ergonomic design of the cover or case, additional screens can be added which can be wirelessly linked by means of an application for communicating the mobile device and the central screen with the screens included at the sides of the cover.
DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
The figures represent, with an illustrative and non-limiting purpose, the following:
FIG. 1 : It is a front view of the cover of the present invention where the screens are arranged unfolded being located at both sides of the mobile phone.
FIG. 2: It is a view of the cover of the present invention being semi-unfolded.
FIG. 3: It is a view representing the unfolding movement of the cover for portability thereof.
FIG. 4: It is a front view of the cover of the present invention, showing mobility of the two attached screens, and further showing a button section with basic functionalities.
FIG. 5: It is a rear view of the cover of the present invention showing an opening for the camera and the speakers.
PREFERRED EMBODIMENT OF THE INVENTION
The following is a detailed description of a preferred embodiment of the invention based on the attached figures.
The following figures are not to scale. The real dimension and/or shape of each of the components of the cover may vary. Only the important details of the cover are shown, with the foldable flexible layer and screens added thereto; however, an expert of ordinary skills in the art may appreciate how the global structure can be constructed, without undue experimentation. The main function of the accessory is to enhance space resolution, thus enhancing the user experience and in this way being able to visualize multimedia content in better conditions. FIG. 1 is a front view where the screens are unfolded, being located at the sides of the central screen.
This figure shows the additional screens of the cover, the left one (2a) and the right one (2b), having articulating elements (flexible folding), right (3b) and left (3a), which will provide for folding so as to establish connection with the main screen of the mobile device (1 ).
FIG. 2 is front vertical view with the cover being semi-unfolded. This figure shows the left (2b) and the right (2a) screens being semi-folded by the left (3b) and right (3a) flexible folding. The space (4) for placing the mobile device is at the centre.
FIG. 3 is view representing the unfolding movement of the cover for portability thereof. In this figure we can see the left (5a) and right (5b) mini-speaker which will provide for a better sound experience and the space (4) for placing the main mobile. In order to fold the additional screens away it is necessary to realize an angular movement (a) for the left area and (b) for the right, such that upon folding them away the main screen is not obstructed.
FIG. 4 is a frontal view showing the flexible folding mobility for the two added screens of the cover, where a button section is shown having basic functionalities. This figure shows the mobile device (1 ) and the unfolded left (2a) and right (2b) screens, as well as the buttons incorporated for additional functions such as raising up the volume (8), lowering the volume (7) and on and off button (6) of the mobile device.
FIG. 5 is a rear view of the cover showing the opening for the camera and the speakers both of the mobile device and of the screens of the cover. This figure depicts a rear view of the cover showing the opening for the camera and for the speakers, both of the mobile device and the cover screens. This figure shows the right (3b) and left (3a) folding, mesh-type openings (5b) at the right, also an opening (9) not to obstruct the camera of the main mobile, and an opening (10) for the speaker of the main mobile and thus improving the audio experience of the user.
