  • This received current will exhibit changes in phase and/or changes in amplitude compared to the current used to drive the magnetic field emitting device 42, and these change in phase and/or changes in amplitude depend on the time- varying properties of the body (i.e. the physiological characteristics).

Abstract

L'invention concerne un appareil destiné à mesurer une caractéristique physiologique d'un sujet, l'appareil comprenant un générateur de signal destiné à générer un courant alternatif ; un dispositif d'émission de champ magnétique qui est couplé au générateur de signal, le dispositif d'émission de champ magnétique comprenant une première pluralité d'éléments électriques qui sont chacun configurés pour générer un champ magnétique alternatif en réponse à un courant alternatif, la première pluralité d'éléments électriques étant agencés les uns par rapport aux autres pour former un premier réseau de Halbach, de sorte qu'un courant alternatif provenant du générateur de signal amène le premier réseau de Halbach à générer un champ magnétique alternatif sur un premier côté du premier réseau de Halbach dans une région d'intérêt, et sensiblement aucun champ magnétique sur un côté du premier réseau de Halbach qui est opposé au premier côté ; et une unité de commande qui est configurée pour recevoir un courant en réponse au dispositif d'émission de champ magnétique émettant un champ magnétique dans la région d'intérêt ; pour traiter le courant reçu pour déterminer un déphasage et/ou une modulation d'amplitude du courant reçu par rapport au courant alternatif généré ; et pour déterminer une mesure de la caractéristique physiologique à partir du déphasage et/ou de la modulation d'amplitude déterminés.
