Abstract

A casing running tool (CRT) adapter (210) for use with a casing running tool (CRT) (110) is provided. The CRT adapter includes a top end (216) that is shaped and sized similar to a box of a casing joint and configured to interface with the CRT, and a bottom end (220) that is designed to interface either directly with a casing joint (212) or with well equipment (214) coupled to the casing joint. The CRT adapter (210) is used to transmit torque from the CRT (110) to the final casing joint, which is connected to well equipment such as a hanger or wellhead housing.
