The present invention relates to a dishwasher (1) comprising a body (2); a wash tank tub (3) that is disposed the body (2) and wherein the washing process is performed, and a water tank (4) positioned on the washing tub (3) adjacent to th washing tub (3) and from which the water is delivered into the washing tub (3).
Description
The present invention relates to a dishwasher with improved washing performance.
In dishwashers, a washing sump is situated at the lower portion of the washing tub, wherein the water in the washing tub is collected. The water in the washing sump is circulated through the washing tub by means of a pump during the washing cycle and discharged by means of a discharge pump at the end of the washing cycle. In the state of the art, embodiments are known wherein the water collected in the sump is not discharged but collected in a storage tank and used in the following steps of washing. Thus, the water used in a washing cycle can be reused, providing savings in water consumption. Furthermore, in case of a safety problem, the water in the washing tub can be completely discharged. Thus, possible fire risks are eliminated. After the problem is solved, the water is transferred from the water tank into the washing tub and the washing program is restarted. Sometimes the user may not be aware of the problems that arise. The dishwasher decides that the problem is solved and restarts the washing process. However, after being transferred into the washing tub, the water in the water tank is discharged due to safety reasons during the previous washing cycle. Since the water tank is empty when the washing program is restarted, water cannot be taken into the washing tub. The dishwasher assumes that water is transferred into the washing tub and performs the washing process without water. Thus, the dishes cannot be cleaned.
In the state of the art European Patent Document No. EP1468640, a dishwasher with overflow security system is disclosed.
The aim of the present invention is the realization of a dishwasher with improved washing performance.
The dishwasher realized in order to attain the aim of the present invention, explicated in the first claim and the respective claims thereof, comprises a body, a washing tub disposed in the body, and a water tank disposed next to the washing tub. The kitchen utensils to be washed are placed into the washing tub. During the washing process, the water in the washing tub is used. When an excess amount of water is taken into the washing tub, the unused water is transferred to the water tank.
