Abstract
噴霧ノズルは、液体を気体により微粒化して噴霧する噴霧ノズルであって、前記噴霧ノズルから噴霧された、帯電した前記液体の微粒子が前記噴霧ノズルへ引き寄せられて付着することに起因する前記噴霧ノズルからの前記液体の滴下を防止する液体滴下防止機構を具備する。
Description
本発明は、噴霧ノズルに関する。
例えば、加湿、降温、除菌などを目的として、液体を気体により微粒化(霧化)して噴霧する噴霧ノズルが広く用いられている。
例えばクリーンルーム内において純水を噴霧するといった場合を想定する。噴霧ノズルから噴霧される純水の微粒子は、例えばノズル先端部通過時に帯電し、一方、ノズル先端部周辺には、対極の電荷が滞留する。すると、噴霧された純水の微粒子がノズル先端部周辺に引き寄せられて付着する。この事象が連続することにより、噴霧ノズルの濡れが始まり、延いては、液だれなどと称される、噴霧ノズルからの水滴(液状の純水)の滴下が生じる。
本発明が解決しようとする課題は、水滴の滴下を防止する噴霧ノズルを提供することである。
本発明の観点に従った噴霧ノズルは、液体を気体により微粒化して噴霧する噴霧ノズルであって、前記噴霧ノズルから噴霧された、帯電した前記液体の微粒子が前記噴霧ノズルへ引き寄せられて付着することに起因する前記噴霧ノズルからの前記液体の滴下を防止する液体滴下防止機構を具備する。
以下、実施の形態について図面を参照して説明する。
(第1実施形態)
まず、第1実施形態について説明する。

図1は、本実施形態の二流体ノズル(噴霧ノズル)1を適用する二流体噴霧システム100の一構成例を示す図である。
図1に示すように、二流体噴霧システム100は、二流体ノズル1と、圧縮空気供給路2と、純水供給路3と、レギュレータ4と、ポンプユニット5と、コントローラ6とを有する。
二流体ノズル1は、純水供給口から供給される純水を、圧縮空気供給口から供給される圧縮により微粒化して噴霧口より噴霧する。二流体ノズル1の圧縮空気供給口には、圧縮空気供給路2が接続され、二流体ノズル1の純水供給口には、純水供給路3が接続されている。
レギュレータ4は、圧縮空気供給路2を介して二流体ノズル1へ適量・適圧の圧縮空気を供給するための装置である。また、ポンプユニット5は、純水供給路3を介して二流体ノズル1へ適量・適圧の純水を供給するための装置である。コントローラ6は、レギュレータ4およびポンプユニット5の駆動制御を司る装置である。
図2は、本実施形態の二流体ノズル1の一構成例を示す図である。より詳細には、本実施形態の二流体ノズル1における液体滴下防止機構を説明するための図である。
本実施形態においては、ノズル先端部11に滞留する電荷を放電させるべくコロナ放電(図2のa)を誘発するためのコロナ放電誘発部12を設置する。コロナ放電誘発部12は、例えば金属性の針であり、ノズル先端部11と接して設けられる。コロナ放電誘発部12は、ノズル先端部11に滞留する電荷を、噴霧口から噴霧される純水の微粒子に向けて放電させるべく、より詳細には、噴霧口から噴霧される純水の微粒子の帯電と相殺すべく設けられることが好ましい。
噴霧口から純水の微粒子が噴霧される際、当該噴霧される純水の微粒子が帯電(例えば正[プラス])すると、ノズル先端部周辺には、対極(例えば負[マイナス])の電荷が滞留する。もし、この状態を放置した場合、噴霧された純水の微粒子がノズル先端部周辺に引き寄せられて付着する。水滴(液状の純水)の滴下は、この事象に起因して発生する。
これに対して、本実施形態の二流体ノズル1は、ノズル先端部11に滞留する電荷を放電させるべくコロナ放電を誘発するためのコロナ放電誘発部12を設置することで、噴霧された純水の微粒子がノズル先端部周辺に引き寄せられる要因を除去するようにした。この液体滴下防止機構により、本実施形態の二流体ノズル1は、噴霧された純水の微粒子がノズル先端部周辺に引き寄せられて付着する事象に起因して発生する水滴(液状の純水)の滴下を防止する。
なお、引き寄せられた純水の微粒子ではなく、噴霧されるべき純水の微粒子の一部が付着することにより、ノズル先端部11には微小な濡れが生じ得る。この濡れは、噴霧口の周囲で発生する気流(図2のb)に巻き込まれて、噴霧口から噴霧される純水の微粒子とともに噴出されるため、水滴(液状の純水)の滴下に至ることはない。
このように、本実施形態によれば、水滴の滴下を防止することができる。
(第2実施形態)
次に、第2実施形態について説明する。本実施形態の二流体ノズル1も、第1実施形態と同様の二流体噴霧システムに適用される。そこで、二流体噴霧システムの一構成例についての説明は省略する。また、本実施形態の説明においても、二流体ノズルについて、第1実施形態の説明と同じ符号(1)を使用する。
次に、第2実施形態について説明する。本実施形態の二流体ノズル1も、第1実施形態と同様の二流体噴霧システムに適用される。そこで、二流体噴霧システムの一構成例についての説明は省略する。また、本実施形態の説明においても、二流体ノズルについて、第1実施形態の説明と同じ符号(1)を使用する。
図3は、本実施形態の二流体ノズル1の一構成例を示す図である。より詳細には、本実施形態の二流体ノズル1における液体滴下防止機構を説明するための図である。
本実施形態においては、第1に、二流体ノズル1の噴霧口を鉛直下向きに配置する。また、第2に、この噴霧口が設けられる噴霧面の形状を、当該噴霧面を含む二流体ノズル1周壁に付着した液体(図3のc)が重力で噴霧口へ導かれる(図3のd)形状とする。
噴霧口から噴霧される純水の微粒子が帯電し、一方、噴霧口周辺に対極の電荷が滞留することにより、噴霧された純水の微粒子が噴霧口周辺に引き寄せられ、濡れが拡大したと想定する。
本実施形態の二流体ノズル1は、噴霧口を鉛直下向きに配置し、かつ、二流体ノズル1周壁に付着した液体が重力で噴霧口へ導かれるように噴霧口を含む噴霧面を形成することで、拡大した濡れを噴霧口へ導き、噴霧口の周囲で発生する気流に巻き込んで、噴霧口から噴霧される純水の微粒子とともに噴出するようにした。この液体滴下防止機構により、本実施形態の二流体ノズル1は、噴霧された純水の微粒子がノズル先端部周辺に引き寄せられて付着する事象に起因して発生する水滴(液状の純水)の滴下を防止する。
このように、本実施形態によれば、水滴の滴下を防止することができる。
(第3実施形態)
次に、第3実施形態について説明する。本実施形態の二流体ノズル1も、第1および第2実施形態と同様の二流体噴霧システムに適用される。そこで、二流体噴霧システムの一構成例についての説明は省略する。また、本実施形態の説明においても、二流体ノズルについて、第1実施形態の説明と同じ符号(1)を使用する。
次に、第3実施形態について説明する。本実施形態の二流体ノズル1も、第1および第2実施形態と同様の二流体噴霧システムに適用される。そこで、二流体噴霧システムの一構成例についての説明は省略する。また、本実施形態の説明においても、二流体ノズルについて、第1実施形態の説明と同じ符号(1)を使用する。
図4は、本実施形態の二流体ノズル1の一構成例を示す図である。より詳細には、本実施形態の二流体ノズル1における液体滴下防止機構を説明するための図である。
本実施形態においては、二流体ノズル1の噴霧口13を囲むように、噴霧口13を含む噴霧面に気体排出口14を設ける。また、本実施形態においては、圧縮空気供給路2を介して二流体ノズル1へ供給される圧縮空気を、純水供給路3を介して二流体ノズル1へ供給される純水を微粒化することに加えて、気体排出口14から空気を噴出することにも使用する。
噴霧口から噴霧される純水の微粒子が帯電し、一方、噴霧口周辺に対極の電荷が滞留することにより、噴霧された純水の微粒子が噴霧口周辺に引き寄せられ、濡れが始まったと想定する。
本実施形態の二流体ノズル1は、噴霧口13を囲むように気体排出口14を設けることで、気体排出口14により空気が噴出される位置(図4のe)までに濡れ(図4のf)の拡大を限定するようにした。気体排出口14まで達した濡れは、気体排出口14から噴出される空気とともに噴出されるため、水滴(液状の純水)の滴下に至ることはない。この液体滴下防止機構により、本実施形態の二流体ノズル1は、噴霧された純水の微粒子がノズル先端部周辺に引き寄せられて付着する事象に起因して発生する水滴(液状の純水)の滴下を防止する。
このように、本実施形態によれば、水滴の滴下を防止することができる。
(第4実施形態)
次に、第4実施形態について説明する。本実施形態の二流体ノズル1も、第1乃至第3実施形態と同様の二流体噴霧システムに適用される。そこで、二流体噴霧システムの一構成例についての説明は省略する。また、本実施形態の説明においても、二流体ノズルについて、第1実施形態の説明と同じ符号(1)を使用する。
次に、第4実施形態について説明する。本実施形態の二流体ノズル1も、第1乃至第3実施形態と同様の二流体噴霧システムに適用される。そこで、二流体噴霧システムの一構成例についての説明は省略する。また、本実施形態の説明においても、二流体ノズルについて、第1実施形態の説明と同じ符号(1)を使用する。
図5は、本実施形態の二流体ノズル1の一構成例を示す図である。より詳細には、本実施形態の二流体ノズル1における液体滴下防止機構を説明するための図である。
本実施形態においては、帯電性を有する物質で形成されるシールド部15を、二流体ノズル1の濡らしたくない箇所、換言すれば、噴霧された純水の微粒子が引き寄せられて付着することを防ぎたい箇所を覆うように設ける。かつ、シールド部15は、帯電した純水の微粒子と対極の電荷が滞留するノズル先端部からの表面距離(図5のg)を、ノズル先端部からの沿面放電による表面電位の低下を回避するように十分確保した状態で設けられる。なお、図5中の符号16は、二流体ノズル1の周囲を覆うようにシールド部15を固定するための固定部である。
ノズル先端部から十分な表面距離を保つことにより、シールド部15の表面は、帯電した純水の微粒子と同極(例えば正[プラス])の帯電状態を維持することができる。従って、帯電した純水の微粒子を寄せ付けない。この液体滴下防止機構により、本実施形態の二流体ノズル1は、噴霧された純水の微粒子がノズル先端部周辺に引き寄せられて付着する事象に起因して発生する水滴(液状の純水)の滴下を防止する。
図6は、本実施形態の二流体ノズル1(液体滴下防止機構)の外観の一例を示す図である。図6に示すように、ノズル先端部からの沿面放電による表面電位の低下を回避するために十分な表面距離を確保した状態で、ノズル先端部周辺を含む二流体ノズル1の周囲を覆うように、帯電性を有する物質で形成されるシールド部15を配置することにより、噴霧された純水の微粒子が二流体ノズル1に付着することを防止できる。
なお、シールド部15は、必ずしも、二流体ノズル1の周囲全体を覆うように設ける必要はない。例えば、二流体ノズル1の側面の一部が露出していても、ノズル先端部からの沿面放電による表面電位の低下を回避するために十分な表面距離を確保した状態で、少なくともノズル先端部周辺を覆うように配置することで、噴霧された純水の微粒子が二流体ノズル1に付着することを防止できる。
このように、本実施形態によれば、水滴の滴下を防止することができる。
なお、以上の説明では、液体を気体により微粒化(霧化)して噴霧する二流体ノズルを例示したが、各実施形態で説明した施策は、二流体ノズルに限らず、例えば、加圧された液体のみが供給され、当該液体を当該液体の圧力により微粒化(霧化)して噴霧する一流体ノズルにおいても適用し得る。二流体ノズルの場合、通常、水圧・空気圧共に500kPa程度以内であるのに対し、一流体ノズルの場合、通常、水圧は5MPa程度である。二流体ノズルと比較して液体を高圧に加圧することにより、一流体ノズルは、液体のみで当該液体を微粒化(霧化)して噴霧することができる。
また、本発明は上記実施形態そのままに限定されるものではなく、実施段階ではその要旨を逸脱しない範囲で構成要素を変形して具体化できる。また、上記実施形態に開示されている複数の構成要素の適宜な組合せにより、種々の発明を形成できる。例えば、実施形態に示される全構成要素から幾つかの構成要素を削除してもよい。さらに、異なる実施形態にわたる構成要素を適宜組み合わせてもよい。
Claims (12)
- 液体を気体により微粒化して噴霧する噴霧ノズルであって、
前記噴霧ノズルから噴霧された、帯電した前記液体の微粒子が前記噴霧ノズルへ引き寄せられて付着することに起因する前記噴霧ノズルからの前記液体の滴下を防止する液体滴下防止機構を具備する噴霧ノズル。 - 前記液体滴下防止機構は、ノズル先端部と接して設けられ、前記ノズル先端部に滞留する電荷を放電させるべくコロナ放電を誘発するための金属性の物質で形成されるコロナ放電誘発部を具備する請求項1に記載の噴霧ノズル。
- 前記コロナ放電誘発部は、前記ノズル先端部に滞留する電荷を、前記噴霧ノズルから噴霧される前記液体の微粒子へ向けて放電させるべく設けられる請求項2に記載の噴霧ノズル。
- 前記液体滴下防止機構は、噴霧口が鉛直下向きに設けられる噴霧面を具備し、
前記噴霧面は、付着した前記液体を重力で前記噴霧口へ導く形状を有する、
請求項1に記載の噴霧ノズル。 - 前記液体滴下防止機構は、噴霧口を含む噴霧面に前記噴霧口を囲むべく設けられる気体排出口を具備する請求項1に記載の噴霧ノズル。
- 前記液体滴下防止機構は、ノズル先端部からの沿面放電による表面電位の低下を回避するために十分な表面距離を確保した状態で少なくとも前記ノズル先端部周辺を覆うべく設けられる帯電性を有する物質で形成されるシールド部を具備する請求項1に記載の噴霧ノズル。
- 加圧された液体を当該液体の圧力により微粒化して噴霧する噴霧ノズルであって、
前記噴霧ノズルから噴霧された、帯電した前記液体の微粒子が前記噴霧ノズルへ引き寄せられて付着することに起因する前記噴霧ノズルからの前記液体の滴下を防止する液体滴下防止機構を具備する噴霧ノズル。 - 前記液体滴下防止機構は、ノズル先端部と接して設けられ、前記ノズル先端部に滞留する電荷を放電させるべくコロナ放電を誘発するための金属性の物質で形成されるコロナ放電誘発部を具備する請求項7に記載の噴霧ノズル。
- 前記コロナ放電誘発部は、前記ノズル先端部に滞留する電荷を、前記噴霧ノズルから噴霧される前記液体の微粒子へ向けて放電させるべく設けられる請求項8に記載の噴霧ノズル。
- 前記液体滴下防止機構は、噴霧口が鉛直下向きに設けられる噴霧面を具備し、
前記噴霧面は、付着した前記液体を重力で前記噴霧口へ導く形状を有する、
請求項7に記載の噴霧ノズル。 - 前記液体滴下防止機構は、噴霧口を含む噴霧面に前記噴霧口を囲むべく設けられる気体排出口を具備する請求項7に記載の噴霧ノズル。
- 前記液体滴下防止機構は、ノズル先端部からの沿面放電による表面電位の低下を回避するために十分な表面距離を確保した状態で少なくとも前記ノズル先端部周辺を覆うべく設けられる帯電性を有する物質で形成されるシールド部を具備する請求項7に記載の噴霧ノズル。
