Description

Warning Procedure, System for Vehicles
The subject of the patent is a procedure, system for the vehicles, which through the navigation tools operating in the vehicles when participating in the traffic indicates to the driver - with the help of the signals transmitted by the signal transmitters installed in the vehicles participating in the traffic with special signaling - the movement direction of them within a 50-2000 m radius circle.
Already from the beginning, there was an intent to put the road transport within frames. The first order referring to the road transportation was published in 1910. That was a very rudimentary regulation, it maximized the speed of the vehicles of that time in 25 km/h. Later on, modifications, modernizations were published from time to time, in accordance with the technical development of the given era. Due to the later traffic conditions and especially those of the 21th century and the number of the traffic participants, the Uniform Regulation of the Road Rules being in force and being regularly updated are essential. Those vehicles, which are driven by a person performing an urgent task based on his/her service, which has to eliminate conditions endangering life or safety of property, or which is responsible for the safety of a protected person and his/her accompaniment, have the possibility to operate special light and acoustic signals on the given vehicle, and when using them, they are allowed to disregard the road signs with the exception of the police and railway signs. Additionally, it has priority against any person or vehicle going around it. Nowadays, it is an increasing problem, that the participants of the traffic hear the siren later and later. In addition to listening to a loud music, a reason for that can be the fact that the newer and newer vehicles are manufactured with the application of more and more modern soundproofing technologies. Furthermore, our ears are used to hearing siren so much, that we even do not sense or do not notice it. The first reaction of the drivers hearing a siren, is often to put their foot immediately on the break, generating by that a danger of accident and further slowing down the movement of the ambulance coming behind him/her and having the special signal, the intent of which is exactly to ensure the continuous progress reducing the transportation trauma of the transported patient. The largest problem is always caused by the cars standing at the red traffic light, as getting out of the way is quite difficult for them. A lot of ideas, tools, solutions or proposals to reform the rules has been already published for the elimination of the problem. However, none of them proved to be the real solution, and that was also evidenced by the fact that the relation between the vehicles using special signals and the simple vehicles has not changed until nowadays. The patent having registration number CN 102842244 and title „PRE WARNING ANTI COLLISION DEVICE AND METHOD FOR VEHICLE" is a system developed for the vehicles to prevent the collision. The service operates as a GPS based service. The patent is intended to prevent the collision of the given vehicle with the ones going in its vicinity e.g. when driving under difficult weather conditions as in fog or on slippery road. The drivers have also the possibility to determine by themselves the warning appearing to the other participants of the traffic, according to their individual judgement. The application having the registration number CN205176272 and title„RADAR EARLY WARNING SYSTEM BACKS A CAR BASED ON ULTRASONIC WAVE" and being a radar signaling device installed in the rear part of the vehicle operates according to a similar arrangement. The device determines the distance between the location of the object and the reflection point of the signal by ultrasonic signal output warning the driver in this way in order to avoid collision. The device can be installed in any side of the vehicle and there is a possibility to use it while the vehicle is in motion, and after its development, it can be added even by collision prevention system during motion, or by a pedestrian protection function, as well. With the help of the patent having registration number DE2610443 and title „ WARNING SIGNAL FOR EMERGENCY VEHICLE - HAS DIRECTIONAL RADIO BEAM TO OVERRIDE RADIOS IN ON OTHER VEHICLES" the emergency vehicles are able to generate such radio frequency signals, which turns down the radio of all the vehicles being in its vicinity, then by an acoustic signal, warns the drivers on a vehicle having priority being nearby. The operation of the tool can be extended on the operation of the traffic lights, as well. The patent description no. DE3427180 having title„ALARM DEVICE FOR INSTALLATION IN MOTOR VEHICLES", basically works according to the idea of the previous one. It also operates devices providing acoustic signals by a signal transmitter located in the vehicle, but not through the audio entertainment tool of the cars, but through the loudspeakers permanently located along the roads and receiving high frequency signals transmitted by the transmitters installed in the vehicles within a 300 m region, and generating a certain acoustic signal. Additionally, like in the previous patent, the issued high frequency signals block the broadcast of the radio stations. In this way, by the enforced broadcast blocking it becomes possible to warn the drivers on e.g. an ambulance car coming near to them. The English patent having registration number GB 1355803 and title „ROAD TRAFFIC INFORMATION COMMUNICATION SYSTEM" is a transmitter, which can be installed in the vehicle and is able to issue radio frequency received by the receivers located along the road. After transmitting the received signal to a central system, the further operations can be performed using the conclusions derived from them, in a given case it can be used even for traffic forecast. The English patent having registration number GB219824 and title„AUTOMATIC SPEED REDUCTION SYSTEM" is also a device, which can be installed in the vehicle and operating through a transmitter, but which was developed for a completely different purpose. The invention is intended to assist the work of the authorities, and when it is operated it reduces the speed of the targeted vehicle, and it makes possible the operation of its light and acoustic signal systems. While each of the above mentioned patents is relevant concerning the subject of my invention, none of them is conforming with it, and my idea represents a solution to several troubles occurring in the described ideas by an innovative solution based on a totally different basis. I consider as such a trouble the issue of radio broadcasting blocking by the transmission of high frequency signals as in this case not only the broadcast of the radios operated in the cars is interrupted, but also of the radios operated in the houses located nearby. It is also not absolutely sure, that a car driver during his/her daily routine, in all cases switches on the audio entertainment device, or uses it not in the radio mode, and in this way causing an even higher danger of accident, as the vehicle going with special signaling is proceeding believing that everybody notices its arrival nearby it. Additionally, the receivers located along the road and being able to issue acoustic signals can also have a disturbing effect to the people leaving nearby. The patent application number P08800329 under title "ARRANGEMENT ASSEMBLED FROM A TRANSCEIVER DEVICE IN ORDER TO REDUCE TRAFFIC ACCIDENT EMERGENCY AND FOR THE ACHIEVEMENT OF FREE PROCEEDING IN THE TRAFFIC OF THE VEHICLES USING SPECIAL SIGNALLING" uses a transmitter unit provided with radio antenna and a receiver unit provided with radio antenna. Their radio frequency connection with each other is realized so, that the transmitter is installed in the vehicle using the special signaling, and the receiver is installed in the other vehicle detecting the radio frequency signals of the vehicle using the special signaling. The receiver unit can be connected even to the hi-fi equipment of the vehicle in order to mute it at the signal of the transmitter. The transmitter device can be installed even in the safety equipment controlling the operation of the railway level crossings. The American patent having registration number US6222461 -B l and title „EMERGENCY WARNING SYSTEM FOR VEHICLES" is a similar system, but the transmitter unit is installed in the locomotives and not in the level crossings. The patent having registration number US6087961-A and title „DIRECTIONAL WARNING SYSTEM FOR DETECTING EMERGENCY VEHICLES" is a receiver side device including a direction measurement antenna loudly scans the relative direction of the vehicle moving with a special signaling. In the German patent registered under number DEI 02010022165 Al and having title „METHOD FOR DETECTING ACOUSTING SIGNAL OF EMERGENCY VEHICLE FOR ANOTHER VEHICLE FOR POLICE SERVICE, INVOLVES CLASSIFYING DETECTED OPTICAL SIGNAL, AND SPENDING WARNING SIGNAL TO DRIVE WITH DETECTED ACOUSTIC AND OPTICAL SIGNAL" at the receiver side there are a microphone and a camera, as well. With the help of them, it detects the approaching vehicles having special signaling, and informs the driver of the vehicle having the receiver unit on the direction and speed of it. The listed examples are really more effective than the conventional indication and the human sensing, but there is possibility for further development. The objective is to find and realize the progressive development possibilities.
Our objective is to develop a simple, low investment cost system based on the basic navigation tools, which assists the accident free movement of the vehicles using special signaling (ambulance, disaster protection, dire engine, police car, governmental vehicles etc.) and the other vehicles participating in the traffic.
The subject of the patent is a system based on the GPS system. That is, based on the satellite tracking accessible 24 hours per day it assists the quick, safe and accident free movement of the vehicles using special signaling by indicating to the other drivers through the navigation system the direction of the approaching vehicle having priority.
In a favorable realization form, the subject of the patent, the vehicle using the special signaling contemporary with its switching on, transmits a signal to the satellite, which - as a system based on GPS - immediately indicates to the navigation tools the position, direction of movement, and probably the speed of the vehicle coming with a special signaling within a region of 50 - 2000 meters. After leaving the region, the signal disappears from the navigation system of the drivers being in the region. The signal appearing on the navigation system can be a symbol indicating the movement, or an acoustic signal contemporary with it. During the later on developments, the indication of the movement direction, or of the starting and target points, as well. In this way, the other drivers can react within a relatively short time in respect of the selection of the quickest and safest route, or it can detect in due time the location of a probable accident in case that crosses its movement direction. By that the development of long queues, traffic jams around the site of the accident can be avoided.
The procedure we want to be patented is a system warning the vehicle drivers, which is based on the Global Positioning System (GPS) working with digital signals. This location determining system is able to perform a 3- dimensional location determination on earth, water and air. Referring to its accuracy the 1 meter order is characteristic. In this way, our system also uses this accuracy. In the vehicles equipped with special signaling, in case of operating the signaling, depending on the setting within a 50-2000 meters region, in the vehicles equipped with a navigation system, or on the mobile device running a navigation application or on other portable navigation tools, the symbol of the vehicle using light signaling is displayed (together with its movement direction). In case of older vehicles or vehicles having no navigation system, the system can be realized by using GPS and GSM, the digital technology jointly. The principle is the same as in the case of the procedure based exclusively on GPS. The system can be also operated by installing a modem. In this case, the modem with the help of a sound recognition system codes an alarm sound among the given vehicles to electronic binary information. That means, it converts the sound generating a long series of binary impulses carrying the necessary information. The system based on the modem would become active only when a GPS signal is not accessible. Based on the mentioned method, the system sends the signals to the given vehicles, devices or different tools.
The signal transmitters can be made unique by a signal code system, in this way the installed tools can be accessed at any time even for the purpose of individual or collective updating. By the individual coding, we can differentiate the modem devices of the vehicles registered to individual servers, or we can detect their failure. By the systemization, we can make easier the preparation of statistical reports, and in this way the system level development, rationalization concerning any aspect becomes simply realizable.
During the further development of the procedure intended to be patented can provide the possibility of using it as a communication, additional or pre- indicating system even among the vehicles performing work procedures within a railway, air or other closed network. Furthermore, in case several vehicles using special signaling cross each other's route, with the help of pre-determined algorithms analyzing several occurring components, the system is able to determine the priority sequence among them informing on that not only the other drivers, but also the vehicles using the special signaling. When the system reaches an appropriate level of prevalence, that is most of the participants of road traffic becomes a user, as a factor further increasing the safe traffic, an order procedure can be included in the warning system proposing to the car driver the safest way and direction of getting out of the way, even at monitoring the traffic intensity, in this way reducing the reaction time of the drivers and making quicker the progress of the vehicle using the special signaling. The appropriate spread of the system can be also accelerated in case the vehicle manufacturers already at factory integrate in the installed tools running the navigation system the Vehicle Warning System as an additional safety and convenience element.
By the fact that the system runs exclusively on installed coordination tools, mobiles using navigation purpose application or other portable, driving assistance tools, it avoids the disturbance of the people living in the area of the busier road networks. That means, not increasing any other existing disturbing element like the light, noise of a vehicle going using special signaling, the system still can provide assistance, a kind of additional safety tool the participants of the traffic.
