Description

A BOWL-TYPE WATER SLIDE SPECIFICATION TECHNICAL FIELD
The present invention relates to a bowl-type water slide embodiment which guides the users from the beginning of the bowl to the outlet of the bowl, and which permits the users to leave the slide through a narrow outlet opening.
PRIOR ART
In the present water slide design methods, it is known that a bowl structure is used as an element of the water slide embodiment. Such bowl-type slides are generally embodied such that the users enter into the bowl by means of a tangent orbital movement by using a tube before the users exit through a hole provided under the bowl and the users slide in a spiral shape inside the bowl, and the users finish sliding in a water pool or in a safe area.
In applications where water pool is not preferred as said safe area, the design of the outlet region providing exit of the user from the bowl differs. In case the user, who slides in a high speed manner, does not fall into a water pool, an outlet opening design which will slow down the speed of the user is needed.
In the US patent document US6485372 B2 among the known applications of the art, a waterslide bowl element is disclosed which has a bottom wall configured to form a throat around a rider exit opening in the bottom of the bowl. The bowl holds an annular ring of water around the throat that slows down and conducts the rider to the exit opening and a flume in which the waterslide ride continues. The depth of said annular ring is equal at each point of the annular form.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
In the light of the known state of the art, the object of the present invention is to provide a bowl-type water slide for the purpose of entertainment, and comprising a side wall and a concave base wall integrated with the side wall in a continuous curved form, an outlet opening provided at the outlet region and on the base wall, and a guiding wall which forms a water ring at the periphery of the outlet opening; said bowl-type water slide is characterized in that the depth of the guiding wall is adjusted in a manner increasing towards the outlet opening.
In order to reach said object, in the present invention, a bowl-type water slide is provided comprising an outlet opening having an angle which is 100° at most and which provides exit of the user through the bowl-type water slide.
In order to reach said object, in the present invention, a bowl-type water slide is provided comprising an outlet opening having a pick-like configuration which will provide the user to be guided to the outlet in an ergonomic manner in accordance with the probable belt positions.
In order to reach said object, in the present invention, a bowl-type water slide is provided comprising an outlet region which is in hollow cut-cone form and which has a configuration providing easy and firm assembly and service processes.
In order to reach said object, in the present invention, a bowl-type water slide is provided comprising an outlet region made of fiber-reinforced polymer matrix composite material.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
The enclosed figures of a bowl-type water slide realized for reaching the object of the present invention are as follows.
In Figure 1 , a perspective view of a bowl-type water slide is given.
In Figure 2, the lateral cross sectional view of a bowl-type water slide is given. In Figure 3, the top view of a bowl-type water slide is given. 1 . Bowl-Type Water Slide
2. Inlet Region
3. Outlet Region
3.1 . Outlet Opening
4. Side Wall
5. Base Wall
5.1 . Guiding Wall The subject matter bowl-type water slide (1 ) basically comprises:
- A side wall (4) and a concave base wall (5) integrated with the side wall in a continuous curved form,
- An outlet opening (3.1 ) provided at an outlet region (3) and on the base wall (5), - A guiding wall (5.1 ) provided on the base wall and which forms a water ring at the periphery of the outlet opening (3.1 ) and whose depth is adjusted in a manner increasing towards the outlet opening (3.1 ).
In a bowl-type water slide embodiment (1 ) illustrated in Figure 1 , the user, who enters through the inlet region (2) at a predetermined speed, continues the sliding movement until the outlet region (3). The user is guided to the outlet through the bowl-type water slide (1 ) in an independent manner from the guiding of the user thanks to the guiding wall (5.1 ) having inclined configuration towards the outlet opening (3.1 ) in the outlet region. In the bowl-type water slide (1 ), the user can realize the driving movement by means of a tool like mattress, matt, boat or tube, or the user can realize the driving movement without any such tool.
In the subject matter bowl-type water slide (1 ), the inlet (2) and the outlet region (3) have a curved structure having circular lines similar thereto. The movement of the user from the inlet region (2) to the outlet region (3) is realized in the side wall (4) and the base wall (5) regions.
The side wall (4) has a curved configuration in order to prevent uncontrolled exit of user, who comes from the inlet region at a predetermined speed, through the bowl-type water slide (1 ). Thanks to the curved structure of the side wall (4), the speed of the user can be kept under control. The base wall (5) has a configuration providing movement of the user towards the outlet opening (3.1 ) in the outlet region (3) after the controlled movement of the user.
On the base wall (5), there is a guiding wall (5.1 ) which permits water accumulation and which has an impact configuration preventing colliding with the outlet opening (3.1 ). The outlet opening (3.1 ) is narrower when compared with the structures of the present art, and it has an opening angle which is 100° at most. Thanks to these configurations of the outlet opening (3.1 ) and the guiding wall (5.1 ), the usage of collision mat, which is assembled around the outlet opening (3.1 ) in the present art and which absorbs impacts, is eliminated. By means of this, the actions like impact and injury which may give damage to the user are prevented without the need to use collision mat.
Since the guiding wall (5.1 ) has a configuration whose inclination increases in a concave manner towards the outlet opening (3.1 ), the user, who enters through the inlet region (2) at maximum speed and who slows down and passes to the outlet region (3), may exit the bowl- type water slide without needing any external intervention.
In a preferred application of the present invention, the outlet opening (3.1 ) has a pick-like configuration which will provide the user to be guided to the dry outlet in an ergonomic manner in accordance with the probable belt positions.
In a preferred application of the present invention, in the bowl-type water slide (1 ), the outlet region has a configuration providing easy and firm assembly and service processes, and it is in hollow loop form when viewed from above and it is in hollow cut-cone form when viewed in a perspective manner. By means of this, when problems occur during use of the bowl-type water slide (1 ), the outlet region (3) can be easily removed and fixed in conditions of maintenance and service.
In a preferred application of the present invention, all pieces provided in the bowl-type water slide (1 ) are made of glass fiber-reinforced polymer matrix composite material.
