Abstract

Disclosed are a flux observer for an induction motor, and a flux estimation method for an induction motor. The flux estimation method for the induction motor is characterized by including: a step in which a current model flux observer receives input of a stator current to calculate a current model-estimated rotor flux; a step in which a Gopinath flux observer including a current model flux observer receives input of a stator voltage and a stator current to calculate a Gopinath model-estimated rotor flux; a step in which a first calculator calculates a first flux that is corrected by multiplying the calculated Gopinath model-estimated rotor flux by a first gain value; and a step in which a second calculator calculates a second flux that is corrected by multiplying the calculated current model-estimated rotor flux by a second gain value; and a step in which the first totalizer calculates a final estimated rotor flux (I) by adding the corrected first flux and the corrected second flux.
