Abstract

Refrigerator (1) comprising a body (2) in which cooler and freezer compartments are provided, and in whose production thermoplastic material is used partially, at least one door (3) enabling access into the body (2), an internal wall of the body (4) and an external wall of the body (5) to the insulation volume (HpU) between which polyurethane, which is a plastic material with thermosetting characteristics is injected, and an internal wall of the door (6) and an external wall of the door (7) to the insulation volume (Hpu) between which polyurethane is injected. At least one tab (8) extends from the portions made of thermoplastic material to the insulation volumes (Hpu), enables the portions made of thermoplastic material to grip polyurethane by being embedded into polyurethane injected to the insulation volumes (Hpu) during production.

Description

REFRIGERATOR IN WHOSE PRODUCTION THERMOPLASTIC PARTS ARE USED
The present invention relates to a refrigerator having parts produced from thermoplastic raw material, used partially in the production of body and door. In production of a refrigerator body, polyurethane is injected between the internal wall made of plastic, surrounding the cooler and freezer compartments and the external wall made of metal, and polyurethane contacts all surfaces surrounding it. In production of the upper panel covering the top of the refrigerator body, low cost thermoplastic materials are used, and particularly glossy propylene (Gloss PP) is preferred due to its low cost and ease of processing. However, the upper panel made of glossy propylene not adhering to polyurethane which is a thermosetting material provided in the insulation volume on the roof of the refrigerator, injected in production after mounting of the upper panel, creates a problem. Likewise, in the production of the refrigerator door, polyurethane is injected between the plastic internal wall and the metal external wall, and the upper and the lower surfaces of the door are covered with covers made of glossy propylene. The upper and the lower covers of the door not adhering to the polyurethane injected in the insulation volume in the door, creates a problem.
Patent application no. KR20120143488 relates to a refrigerator to whose door an upper panel is mounted.
Utility model application no. CN204806804 relates to montage of an upper panel on a refrigerator door.
The aim of the present invention is to realize a refrigerator in which parts made of thermoplastic material are enabled to rigidly grip the thermosetting polyurethane injected in the insulation volumes in the body and the door. The refrigerator realized to achieve the aim of the present invention is disclosed in the claims.
The upper panel covering the top of the refrigerator of the invention, and the upper and the lower covers mounted on the upper and the lower ends of the door, are made of glossy propylene which is a thermoplastic material. Tabs (also termed gripping tie pieces) provided on the lower surface of the upper panel, extend to the insulation volume on the roof portion of the body, and enable the upper panel to be fixed to the body by being embedded into the polyurethane. Likewise, the upper and the lower covers seated on the upper and the lower ends of the door, are also made of thermoplastic glossy propylene. The tabs extending from the upper and the lower covers to the insulation volume in the door, enable the upper cover and the lower cover to be fixed to the door by being embedded into the polyurethane in the insulation volume.
The refrigerator realized to achieve the aims of the present invention is illustrated in the accompanying drawings, wherein:
Figure 1 is a perspective view of a refrigerator with its upper panel dismantled.
Figure 2 is a schematic view of the refrigerator of the invention.
Figure 3 is a perspective view of an upper panel produced integrally with the tabs enabling it to grip polyurethane.
Figure 4 is a sectional view of a T-shaped tab provided on the upper panel.

The refrigerator (1) comprises a body (2) in which cooler and freezer compartments are provided, and in whose production thermoplastic material is used partially, at least one door (3) enabling access into the body (2), an internal wall of the body (4) and an external wall of the body (5) to the insulation volume (HPU) between which polyurethane, which is a plastic material with thermosetting characteristics is injected, and an internal wall of the door (6) and an external wall of the door (7) to the insulation volume (HPU) between which polyurethane is injected.
The refrigerator (1) of the invention comprises at least one tab (8) extending from the portions made of thermoplastic material, preferably glossy propylene (Gloss PP) to the insulation volumes (HPU) and covering the insulation volume (HPU) in the body (2) and/or the door (3) so as to block leakage of polyurethane, enabling the portions made of said thermoplastic material to grip polyurethane by being embedded into polyurethane injected to the insulation volumes (HPU) during production.
In an embodiment of the invention, the refrigerator (1) comprises an upper panel (9) made of glossy propylene (Gloss PP), covering the top of the body (2), and tabs (8) extending from the upper panel (9) to the insulation volume (HPU) on the roof portion of the body (2), and enabling the upper panel (9) to be fixed to the body (2) by being embedded into the polyurethane injected into said insulation volume (HPU) (figure 2, figure 3).
The tabs (8) are produced integrally with the upper panel (9), from the same glossy propylene material.
In another embodiment of the invention, the refrigerator (1) comprises an upper cover (10) made of glossy propylene (Gloss PP), seated on the upper end of the door (3) before injection of polyurethane, and tabs (8) extending from the upper cover (10) to the insulation volume (HPU) in the door (3), and enabling the upper cover (10) to be fixed to the door (3) by being embedded into the polyurethane in the insulation volume (HPU) (figure 2). The tabs (8) are produced integrally with the upper cover (10), from the same glossy propylene material.
In another embodiment of the invention, the refrigerator (1) comprises an lower cover (11) made of glossy propylene, seated on the lower end of the door (3) before injection of polyurethane, and tabs (8) extending from the lower cover (11) to the insulation volume (HPU) in the door (3), and enabling the lower cover (11) to be fixed to the door (3) by being embedded into the polyurethane in the insulation volume (HPU) (figure 2). The tabs (8) are produced integrally with the lower cover (11), from the same glossy propylene material.
In another embodiment of the invention, the refrigerator (1) comprises an internal wall of the body (4) made of glossy propylene (Gloss PP), and tabs (8) extending from the internal wall of the body (4) to the insulation volume (HPU) in the body (2), and enabling the internal wall of the body (4) to grip the polyurethane in the insulation volume (HPU).
In another embodiment of the invention, the refrigerator (1) comprises an internal wall of the door (6) made of glossy propylene (Gloss PP), and the tabs (8) extending from the internal wall of the door (6) to the insulation volume (HPU) in the door (3), and enabling the internal wall of the door (6) to grip the polyurethane in the insulation volume (HPU).
In an embodiment of the invention, the refrigerator (1) comprises tabs (8) having a T-shaped transverse section and extending from the upper panel (9) to the insulation volume(HPU) on the roof of the body (2) (figure 2, figure 3, figure 4).
In another embodiment of the invention, the refrigerator (1) comprises tabs (8) having an L-shaped or curved shaped transverse section and extending from the edge portions of the upper panel (9) to the insulation volume (HPU) on the roof of the body (2) by bending (figure 2, figure 3).
In another embodiment of the invention, the refrigerator (1) comprises tabs (8) having a T-shaped transverse section and extending from the upper cover (10) or from the lower cover (11) to the insulation volume (HPU) in the door (3) (figure 2).
In another embodiment of the invention, the refrigerator (1) comprises tabs (8) having an L-shaped or curved shaped transverse section and extending from the upper cover (10) or from the lower cover (11) to the insulation volume (HPU) in the door (3) (figure 2).
In another embodiment of the invention, the upper cover (10) has overall a recessed structure and acts as a handle (embedded grip) enabling the door (3) to be opened and closed by the user (figure 1).
In the refrigerator (1) of the invention, the parts made of thermoplastic materials used in production, are enabled to be fixed by gripping to polyurethane, or in general terms, an insulation material with “thermosetting” characteristics, to which they are in contact. The gripping capabilities of the thermoplastic upper panel (9) covering the roof portion of the body (2), and the thermoplastic upper cover (10) and the lower cover (11) mounted on the upper and the lower ends of the door (3), to the polyurethane injected into the insulation volumes (HPU) in the body (2) and the door (3) is increased, a rigid structure is obtained and the product quality is improved.

Claims (10)

  1. A refrigerator (1) comprising a body (2) in whose production thermoplastic material is used partially, at least one door (3) enabling access into the body (2), an internal wall of the body (4) and an external wall of the body (5) to the insulation volume (HPU) between which polyurethane is injected, and an internal wall of the door (6) and an external wall of the door (7) to the insulation volume (HPU) between which polyurethane is injected,
    characterized by at least one tab (8) extending from the portions made of thermoplastic material to the insulation volumes (HPU) and covering the insulation volume (HPU) in the body (2) and/or the door (3), enabling the portions made of thermoplastic material to grip polyurethane by being embedded into polyurethane injected to the insulation volumes (HPU) during production.
  2. A refrigerator (1) according to claim 1, characterized by an upper panel (9) made of glossy propylene (Gloss PP), covering the top of the body (2), and by the tabs (8) produced integrally with the upper panel (9), extending from the upper panel (9) to the insulation volume (HPU) on the roof portion of the body (2), and enabling the upper panel (9) to be fixed to the body (2) by being embedded into the polyurethane.
  3. A refrigerator (1) according to claim 1 or 2, characterized by an upper cover (10) made of glossy propylene (Gloss PP), seated on the upper end of the door (3), and by the tabs (8) produced integrally with the upper cover (10), extending from the upper cover (10) to the insulation volume (HPU) in the door (3), and enabling the upper cover (10) to be fixed to the door (3) by being embedded into the polyurethane in the insulation volume (HPU).
  4. A refrigerator (1) according to claim 1 or 2, characterized by a lower cover (11) made of glossy propylene (Gloss PP), seated on the lower end of the door (3), and by the tabs (8) produced integrally with the lower cover (11), extending from the lower cover (11) to the insulation volume (HPU) in the door (3), and enabling the lower cover (11) to be fixed to the door (3) by being embedded into the polyurethane in the insulation volume (HPU).
  5. A refrigerator (1) according to claim 1 or 2, characterized by the internal wall of the body (4) made of glossy propylene (Gloss PP), and by the tabs (8) extending from the internal wall of the body (4) to the insulation volume (HPU) in the body (2), and enabling the internal wall of the body (4) to grip the polyurethane in the insulation volume (HPU).
  6. A refrigerator (1) according to claim 1 or 2, characterized by the internal wall of the door (6) made of glossy propylene (Gloss PP), and by the tabs (8) extending from the internal wall of the door (6) to the insulation volume (HPU) in the door (3), and enabling the internal wall of the door (6) to grip the polyurethane in the insulation volume (HPU).
  7. A refrigerator (1) according to claim 1 or 2, characterized by the tabs (8) having a T-shaped transverse section and extending from the upper panel (9) to the insulation volume (HPU) on the roof of the body (2).
  8. A refrigerator (1) according to claim 1 or 2, characterized by the tabs (8) having an L-shaped or curved shaped transverse section and extending from the edge portions of the upper panel (9) to the insulation volume (HPU) on the roof of the body (2) by bending.
  9. A refrigerator (1) according to claim 1 or 2, characterized by the tabs (8) having a T-shaped transverse section and extending from the upper cover (10) or from the lower cover (11) to the insulation volume (HPU) in the door (3).
  10. A refrigerator (1) according to claim 1 or 2, characterized by the tabs (8) having an L-shaped or curved shaped transverse section and extending from the upper cover (10) or from the lower cover (11) to the insulation volume (HPU) in the door (3).
