  • Said movable element 7, preferably in one piece, comprises a substantially cylindrical portion 8 of slightly larger diameter than that of the groove 6 so as to allow movement within it and locking in position once the screws 9, 10 shown below have been tightened.
  • Said substantially cylindrical portion 8 is joined to a pair of nose-pad supports 11, 12 by means of an arm 26 which allows a certain upward or downward movement of the movable element 7 within said groove 6.
  • Said arm 26 is free to move up and down in a recess 29 made in the center of the nose bridge 2.
  • the pair of nose-pad supports 11, 12 protrude inwardly within the frame 1 and the terminal part 13, 14 of them is of any convenient shape, such as a hook, so as to retain the nose pad 15, preferably made of hypoallergenic, rubbery material and advantageously of convex form so as to follow the shape of the upper part of the nose of the person wearing the eyeglasses.

  • the movable cylindrical portion 8 is then inserted into the groove 6 and fixed at the desired position or the most appropriate and convenient position for the wearer of the eyeglasses by tightening the two screws 9, 10 which fit into a pair of holes 18, 19 passing from the top toward the bottom made in the nose bridge 2 that tighten the upper and lower parts 4, 5 of it, blocking the cylindrical portion 8 inside the groove 6.
  • the screws preferably have a hexagonal shaped head (not shown) to facilitate screwing, alternatively, the head has holes (not shown) suitable for inserting a socket head screw.
  • Said screws 9, 10 may have abutment nuts 22, 23 which are inserted into the holes of the lower part 5 of the nose bridge 2.
  • Said nuts 22, 23 are preferably made of metallic material with a pair of fins 27, 28 on the outer circumference which can firmly clamp the side walls of said holes (not shown) of the lower part 5 of the nose bridge 2. In this way, it is easier to tighten the screws and to avoid the falling of the abutment nuts in the assembly/disassembly phases.
  • the movable element 7 is able to move up and down by rotating the cylindrical portion 8 around its axis within the groove 6 (as is clearly seen in Figure 8) so that the optician or the person involved in the sale of the eyeglasses can easily and quickly adjust, without the need for particular professional skills, the distance and height of the lens with respect to the eye of the wearer of sight-correction means.
  • said movable element 7 is divided in the center into two symmetrical parts 7', 7", so as to allow an even more precise adjustment of the nose pad, adapting it to the conformation of the nose of the person wearing the eyeglasses.
  • a further advantage is that the part of the frame and the support arm of the nose pad, being independent of each other, can be made with different thicknesses so that the frame can be realized with a thickness of a certain size in order to obtain a good rigidity, whilst the nose-pad arm can be realized with a reduced thickness to increase the degree of elasticity for a correct positioning of the eyeglasses on the wearer.

Abstract

L'invention concerne une monture pour lunettes équipée d'un dispositif de réglage de distance de lentilles oculaires, ladite monture étant conçue pour former deux oculaires dans lesquels les lentilles (L) sont insérées, reliées entre elles par un pont de nez (2), ledit dispositif comportant une rainure (6), formée entre une partie supérieure (4) et une partie inférieure (5) du pont de nez (2), ladite rainure étant apte à retenir à l'intérieur de celui-ci un élément mobile (7) assurant le maintien d'une plaquette (15), ledit élément mobile (7) pouvant se déplacer vers le haut et vers le bas pour régler la distance et la hauteur des lentilles par rapport aux yeux.
