Abstract
L'invention concerne un procédé permettant de déterminer la présence d'une plaque d'athérome instable chez un sujet, ledit procédé comprenant les étapes consistant à déterminer le taux d'expression d'un ou de plusieurs miARN choisis dans le groupe constitué par miR-223-3p, miR-125b-5p, miR-142-3p et miR-193b-3p dans un échantillon biologique prélevé chez ledit sujet ; comparer ledit taux d'expression avec un taux de référence, et déterminer la présence ou non de ladite plaque d'athérome instable en fonction desdites informations. Le même miARN et miR-499a-5p peuvent être utilisés pour diagnostiquer chez le sujet le risque de souffrir d'athérosclérose ou de développer l'athérosclérose.
