Le procédé comprend les étapes suivantes : surveiller un changement d'état d'un dispositif de stockage physique (11) ; selon le changement d'état du dispositif de stockage physique, effectuer une opération de traitement de système de fichiers de base sur un dispositif de stockage externe virtuel correspondant au dispositif de stockage physique (12) ; mettre à jour des informations de chemin concernant le dispositif de stockage externe virtuel après la réalisation de l'opération de traitement de base, et obtenir des informations de dispositif de stockage externe virtuel actuellement disponible (13) ; et lorsqu'une demande d'accès à un dispositif de stockage est reçue, selon les informations de dispositif de stockage externe virtuel actuellement disponibles, déterminer un dispositif de stockage physique accessible et envoyer, au dispositif de stockage physique, la demande d'accès au dispositif de stockage (14). Dans le procédé, il est pratique de gérer une pluralité de dispositifs de stockage externes virtuels sur un terminal grâce à la mise à jour d'informations de chemin lorsque l'état d'un dispositif de stockage physique change et après la réalisation d'une opération de traitement sur un dispositif de stockage externe virtuel lui correspondant, de sorte qu'un utilisateur puisse accéder à une pluralité de dispositifs de stockage externes virtuels et que l'expérience de l'utilisateur soit améliorée.
