광 감지 장치에 관한 것으로 정전용량 방식으로 착용 상태를 감지하는 광 감지 장치를 제공한다. 제안된 발명이 해결하고자 하는 하나의 과제는 적외선 광을 이용하는 광학 방식이 아닌, 정전 용량 방식으로 손목에서의 착용 감지가 이루어지도록 하여, 문신이 새겨진 손목에서의 착용 감지도 용이하게 이루어질 수 있도록 하는 것이다. 일 양상에 있어서, 광 감지 장치는 투광영역 및 수광영역을 포함하는 기판; 상기 투광영역 상에 상기 기판과 이격하여 배치되는 발광부; 상기 수광영역 상의 제 1 전극; 상기 제 1 전극 상의 다이오드층; 상기 다이오드 층 상의 제 2 전극; 및 상기 제 1 전극 및 제 2 전극 중 적어도 하나와 전기적으로 연결되어, 상기 기판 하부에 대상물이 위치함에 따라 변화하는 상기 제 1 전극 및 제 2 전극 중 적어도 하나와 대상물 간의 정전 용량을 감지하는 구동부;를 포함한다.

Description

광 감지 소자 및 광 감지 장치
광 감지 소자 및 광 감지 장치에 관한 것으로 정전용량 방식으로 착용 상태를 감지하는 광 감지 소자 및 광 감지 장치를 제공한다.
종래의 광 감지 장치는 손목에 광 감지 장치가 착용되어 있음을 감지하기 위해 적외선 광을 이용하였다.
적외선 광을 통해 착용 상태를 감지 하는 방식의 경우에는, 손목에 문신이 새겨져 있는 등 손목의 색이 살색이 아닌 색으로 바뀌어져 있는 경우 착용 감지가 되지 않는 문제가 생긴다.
광 감지 장치가 손목에 착용되어 있음에도 불구하고, 이를 인식하지 못하는 경우, 광 감지 장치가 수행하는 모바일 결제 서비스 등의 어플리케이션을 이용할 수 없는 문제 또한 발생한다.
적외선 광을 이용하는 광학 방식이 아닌, 정전 용량 방식으로 손목에서의 착용 감지가 이루어질 필요가 있다.
또한, 광학 방식에 의한 착용 감지를 위해 사용하던 적외선 엘이디의 미사용으로 광 감지 장치를 더욱 소형화 시킬 필요가 있다.
더 나아가, 발광부에서 출력되는 광은 피부 표면에서 반사되어 수광부로 흡수되거나 유리 기판 내부에서 산란되어 수광부로 흡수 될 수 있다. 이에 따라 발광부의 FOV(field of view)를 조절할 수 있는 차폐층을 배치하여 발광부에서 조사된 광이 오로지 사람의 인체 내부 혈관에서만 반사되어 수광부로 흡수되게 할 필요가 있다.
더 나아가, 차폐층의 간격을 조절하여 최적의 광량이 수광부에 도달하게 함으로서, 맥박 센서의 맥박강도지수(PI, Perfusion Index)를 향상시킬 필요가 있다.
제안된 발명이 해결하고자 하는 하나의 과제는 적외선 광을 이용하는 광학 방식이 아닌, 정전 용량 방식으로 손목에서의 착용 감지가 이루어지도록 하여, 문신이 새겨진 손목에서의 착용 감지도 용이하게 이루어질 수 있도록 하는 것이다.
제안된 발명이 해결하고자 하는 다른 과제는 광학 방식에 의한 착용 감지를 위해 사용하던 적외선 엘이디의 미사용으로 광 감지 장치를 더욱 소형화 시키는 것이다.
제안된 발명이 해결하고자 하는 또 다른 과제는 발광부에서 출력되는 광은 피부 표면에서 반사되어 수광부로 흡수되거나 유리 기판 내부에서 산란되어 수광부로 흡수 될 수 있는데 발광부의 FOV(field of view)를 조절할 수 있는 차폐층을 배치하여 발광부에서 조사된 광이 오로지 사람의 인체 내부 혈관에서만 반사되어 수광부로 흡수되게 하는 것이다.
제안된 발명이 해결하고자 하는 또 다른 과제는 차폐층의 간격을 조절하여 최적의 광량이 수광부에 도달하게 함으로서, 맥박 센서의 맥박강도지수(PI, Perfusion Index)를 향상시키는 것이다.

기판(100)은 유리, 실리콘 웨이퍼 또는 플라스틱으로 이루어진다. 기판(100)의 두께는 0.4~0.6mm 이다. 기판의 상부면은 정사각형 형상으로 가로 세로는 각각 4mm이다.
일 실시예에 있어서, 발광부(500)는 상기 투광 영역(120) 상에 상기 차폐층과 이격하여 배치되고 하부 기판에 배치된다. 발광부(500)는 발광 제어신호에 따라 특정 파장대의 광을 출력한다. 발광부(500)는 예를 들어, 발광 다이오드(LED), 유기 발광 다이오드(OLED), 적외선 발광 다이오드(Infrared Emitting Diode), 레이저 다이오드(Laser Diode)이다. 발광부(500)는 예를 들어 녹색 광을 출력한다.
발광부(500)는 어느 한 방향 또는 모든 방향으로 광을 조사할 수 있다. 발광부(500)가 조사한 빛은 기판(100) 상에 위치하는 대상물에 반사되어 다이오드 층(300)이 수신한다. 발광부(500)응 후술할 하부 기판(100) 상에 배치될 수 있다.
일 실시예에 있어서, 제 1 전극(200)은 수광 영역(110) 상에 위치한다. 제 1 전극은 상기 하부기판을 향하여 배치된다. 제 1 전극은 예를 들어 투명 전극 또는 금속 전극이다. 제 1 전극(200)은 수광영역(110) 전체에 일체로 형성될 수 있으며, 복수개로 나뉘어 형성될 수 있다. 제 1 전극(200)은 기판(100)의 상에 증착된다. 제 1 전극(200)은 발 광 소자가 출력한 광이 반사되어 입사하는 경로 상에 위치한다. 제 1 전극(200)은 예를 들어 제 1 전극이다. 제 1 전극은 입사된 광을 투과시키고, 전류가 흐를 수 있는 투명 전도성 물질로 구성된다.
제 1 전극(200)은 예를 들어, 갈륨 알루미늄 산화아연(GAZO,), 갈륨 도프 산화아연(GZO), 인듐 틴 옥사이드(ITO) 중 어느 하나로 이루어질 수 있다.
제 1 전극(200)의 두께는 350~450nm 이다.
다이오드 층(300)이 출력한 전류는 제 1 전극(200)을 통해 제 1 전극(200)과 전기적으로 연결된 소자로 흐르게 된다.
일 실시예에 있어서, 다이오드 층(300)은 제 1 전극(200)상에 위치한다. 다이오드 층(300)은 발광 소자가 출력한 광이 반사되어 입사하는 경로 상에 위치한다. 다이오드 층(300)은 입사되는 광을 전기적 에너지로 변환하여 출력한다. 다이오드 층(300)은 원형 형상으로 외부 둘레 반경은 1000um~2000um이다. 외부 둘레 반경은 도넛 형상의 다이오드 층의 바깥쪽 원의 반지름이다. 외부 둘레 반경은 도 7에 도시된 c이다. 다이오드 층의 면적은 1mm2 ~ 5mm2이다.
일 실시예에 있어서, 제 2 전극(400)은 다이오드 층(300) 상에 위치한다. 제 2 전극(400)은 발광 소자가 출력한 광이 반사되어 입사하는 경로 상에 위치한다. 다이오드 층(300)이 출력한 전류는 제 2 전극(400)을 통해 제 2 전극(400)과 전기적으로 연결된 소자로 흐르게 된다.
제 2 전극(400)은 제 1 전극(200)과 다이오드 층(300)을 통과한 빛이 재 반사되어 다이오드 층(300)에서 재흡수될수 있도록 반사율이 높은 금속을 포함한다. 제 2 전극은 예를 들어 투명 전극 또는 금속 전극이다. 제 2 전극(400)은 예를 들어 알루미늄(Al) 또는 은(Ag)를 포함한다.
제 2 전극(400)의 두께는 350~450nm 이다.
전술한 제 1 전극(200), 다이오드 층(300) 및 제 2 전극(400)은 기판(100)의 표면에 순차적으로 적층된다. 이때 제 1 전극(200), 다이오드 층(300) 및 제 2 전극(400)의 형상을 다양하게 변형할 수 있다.
제 1 전극(200), 다이오드 층(300) 및 제 2 전극(400)은 발광부(500)의 중심축(700)으로부터 좌우로 기설정된 거리 이내에 위치 한다. 발광부(500)가 출력하는 광이 통과할 수 있는 통과 영역을 포함한다.
다이오드 층(300) 기판(100) 상부에 진공증착법으로 박막 형태로 형성된다.
일 실시예에 있어서, 수광 영역(110)은 투광 영역(120)을 둘러싼다. 투광 영역(120)은 기판(100)의 중심부에 위치하고, 수광 영역(110)은 투광영역에 대하여 상대적으로 기판(100)의 가장자리에 위치한다.
일 실시예에 있어서, 상기 투명 전극, 금속 전극 및 차폐층 중 적어도 하나는 정전용량 감지를 위한 구동부(900)와 전기적으로 연결된다. 구동부는 셀프 정전용량(Self capacitance) 방식으로 대상물이 광 감지 장치에 인접할 때 증가하는 정전용량을 감지한다.
일 실시예에 있어서, 상기 투명 전극, 금속 전극 및 차폐층 중 하나는 상기 구동부의 송신부로 연결되고, 나머지 두 개중 하나는 상기 구동부의 수신부로 연결된다. 구동부는 상호 정전용량(mutual capacitance)방식으로 대상물이 광 감지 장치에 인접할 때 감소하는 양 전극(TX, RX) 간의 정전용량을 감지한다.
일 실시예에 있어서, 상기 차폐층은 상기 송신부와 연결된다. 구동부의 송신부는 차폐층과 연결되고 수신부는 제 1 전극 또는 제 2 전극과 연결된다.
구동부(900)는 신호처리 소자로 후술할 하부 기판 하부에 실장되는 직접회로의 형태로 구현될 수 있다. 구동부(900)는 제 1 전극(200) 및 제 2 전극(400) 중 적어도 하나와 대상물 간의 정전 용량을 감지한다. 즉, 구동부(900)는 제 1 전극(200) 및 제 2 전극(400) 중 적어도 하나와 연결되어 제 1 전극(200) 및 제 2 전극(400) 중 적어도 하나가 출력하는 정전 용량 감지 신호를 수신한다.
구동부(900)는 지속적으로 제 1 전극(200) 및 제 2 전극(400) 중 적어도 하나가 출력하는 정전 용량 감지 신호를 수신하여, 실시간으로 제 1 전극(200) 및 제 2 전극(400) 중 적어도 하나와 대상물 간의 정전용량을 측정한다. 정전 용량이 기설정된 수치 이상이 되면, 광 감지 장치가 착용되었다는 신호를 출력한다. 예를 들어 광 감지 장치의 디스플레이부로 출력한다.
구동부(900)는 또한, 발광부(500)가 조사한 광이 대상물에 반사되어 다이오드 층에 입사되는 경우, 다이오드 층이 출력하는 광전류 신호를 수신한다. 구동부(900)는 수신된 광전류 신호를 분석하여 맥박 횟수를 측정한다.
구동부(900)가 제 1 전극(200)과만 연결되어 있는 경우, 일정 시간 간격으로 제 1 전극(200)이 출력하는 정전 용량 감지 신호 및 다이오드 층이 출력하는 광전류 신호를 번갈아 가며 수신하는 것을 특징으로 한다.
일 실시예에 있어서, 광 감지 장치는 하부 기판(600)을 더 포함한다. 하부 기판(600)은 배선을 변경할 수 있는 전기 회로가 편성되어 있는 판으로, 절연기판 표면에 도체 패턴을 형성할 수 있는 절연 재료로 만들어진, 프린트, 배선판 및 절연기판을 모두 포함할 수 있다.
하부 기판(600)은 리지드(rigid)하거나 또는 플렉서블(flexible)할 수 있다. 예를 들어, 하부 기판(600)은 유리 또는 플라스틱을 포함할 수 있다. 자세하게, 하부 기판(600)은 소다라임유리(soda lime glass) 또는 알루미노실 리케이트유리 등의 화학 강화/반강화유리를 포함하거나, 폴리이미드(Polyimide,PI), 폴리에틸렌 테레프탈레이트(polyethylene terephthalate, PET), 프로필렌 글리콜(propylene glycol, PPG) 폴리 카보네이트(PC) 등의 강화 혹은 연성 플라스틱을 포함하거나 사파이어를 포함할 수 있다.
하부 기판(600)은 광등방성 필름을 포함할 수 있다. 일례로, 상기 하부 기판(600)은 COC(Cyclic Olefin Copolymer), COP(Cyclic Olefin Polymer), 광등방 폴리카보네이트(polycarbonate, PC) 또는 광등방 폴리메틸메타크 릴레이트(PMMA) 등을 포함할 수 있다.
하부 기판(600)은 부분적으로 곡면을 가지면서 휘어질 수 있다. 즉, 하부 기판(600)은 부분적으로는 평면을 가지고, 부분적으로는 곡면을 가지면서 휘어질 수 있다. 자세하게, 상기 하부 기판(600)의 끝단이 곡면을 가지면서 휘어지거나 Random한 곡률을 포함한 표면을 가지며 휘어지거나 구부러질 수 있다.
한편, 본 발명의 하부 기판(600)은 PCB(인쇄 회로 기판; printed circuitboard) 또는 세라믹 기판으로 이루어질 수 있다. 이 때, PCB 기판은 회로 설계를 근거로 회로부품을 접속하는 전기배선을 배선 도형으로 표현하며, 절연물 상에 전기도체를 재현할 수 있다. 또한 전기부품을 탑재하고 이들을 회로적으로 연결하는 배선을 형성할 수 있으며, 부품의 전기적 연결기능 외의 부품들을 기계적으로 고정 시켜줄 수 있다.
기판(100)은 하부 기판(600) 하부에 형성된다. 기판(100)은 하부 기판(600) 하부에 바로 형성될 수 있다. 기판(100)은 하부 기판(600) 하부에 형성되는 격벽에 의해 지지되어 고정될 수 있다. 격벽은 발광부(500)에 의해 조사되는 빛이 기판(100)을 투과하기 전에 다이오드 층으로 도달하는 것을 차단한다. 또한 격벽은 기판(100)과 하부 기판(600) 사이에 위치하여 발광부(500) 또는 다이오드 층이 배치될 수 있는 공간을 형성 한다.
도 2는 일 실시예에 따른 다이오드 층(300)의 구조를 도시하는 단면도이다.
일 실시예에 있어서, 다이오드 층(300)은 P층(310), 실리콘층(320) 및 N층(330)을 포함한다. P층(310), 실리콘층(320) 및 N층(330)은 기판(100)상에 수직 방향으로 적층된다.
일 실시예에 있어서 P층(310)은 제 1 전극(200) 상부에 배치된다. P층(310)은 단결정 실리콘, 다결정 실리콘 및 비정질 실리콘 중 어느 하나를 포함한다.
일 실시예에 있어서, 실리콘층(320)은 P층(310) 상부에 배치된다. 실리콘층(320)은 단결정 실리콘, 다결정 실리콘 및 비정질 실리콘 중 어느 하나를 포함한다.
일 실시예에 있어서, N층(330)은 실리콘층(320) 상부에 배치된다. N층(330)은 단결정 실리콘, 다결정 실리콘 및 비정질 실리콘 중 어느 하나를 포함한다.
도 3은 일 실시예에 따른 제 1 전극(200)의 사시도이다.
일 실시예에 있어서, 상기 제 1 전극(200)은 광 신호 투과부(210) 및 돌출부(220)를 포함한다.
일 실시예에 있어서, 광 신호 투과부(210)는 광 신호를 투과 시킨다. 광 신호 투과부(210)는 기판(100) 인근에 위치한 대상물로부터 반사된 광을 투과 시킨다. 투과된 광은 다이오드 층(300)이 수신한다.
일 실시예에 있어서, 제 1 전극(200)은 다이오드 층(300)보다 더 넓을 수 있다. 제 1 전극(200)은 돌출부(220)를 포함하여 제 1 전극은 다이오드 층(300)의 외부 둘레보다 돌출될 수 있다.
일 실시예에 있어서, 돌출부(220)는 상기 다이오드 층(300)과 접촉하지 않고 외부로 노출된다. 자세하게, 돌출부(220)는 다이오드 층(300)의 외부 둘레보다 더 돌출되어 형성될 수 있다. 돌출부(220)는 기판(100) 또는 하부 기판(600)에 형성된 전기 회로와 전기적으로 연결된다. 다이오드 층(300)이 입사되는 광으로부터 출력하는 전기적 에너지는 돌출부(220)를 통해 기판(100) 또는 하부 기판(600)에 형성된 전기 회로로 전달된다.
광 신호 투과부(210)는 다이오드 층(300)과 직접적으로 연결되고, 돌출부(220)는 광 신호 투과부(210)를 통해 간접적으로 다이오드 층(300)과 연결된다.
일 실시예에 있어서, 상기 돌출부(220)는 적어도 일부가 각진 형태로 형성되는 것을 특징으로 한다. 돌출부(220)는 광 신호 투과부(210)와 거리가 멀어질수록 면적이 줄어들어 일단이 각진 형태로 구성된다. 돌출부(220)의 형태는 이에 한정되는 것은 아니고 광 신호 투과부(210) 바깥쪽 영역으로 형성되는 형태라면 그 제한이 없다.
도 4는 다른 실시예에 따른 제 1 전극(200)의 사시도이다.
일 실시예에 있어서, 상기 내부 확장부(230)는 도넛 형태로 형성되는 것을 특징으로 한다. 내부 확장부는 다이오드 층의 내부 둘레에 대하여 노출되어 있다. 내부 확장부(230)는 광 신호 투과부(210) 안쪽 영역에 도넛 형태로 형성된다. 내부 확장부(230)에 구비된 개구를 통해 발광부(500)가 조사하는 광이 통과할 수 있다. 광 신호 투과부(210)는 다이오드 층(300)과 직접적으로 연결되고, 내부 확장부(230)는 광 신호 투과부(210)를 통해 간접적으로 다이오드 층(300)과 연결된다. 내부 확장부(230)는 기판(100) 또는 하부 기판(600)에 형성된 전기 회로와 전기적으로 연결된다.
도 5는 일 실시예에 따른 제 2 전극(400)의 사시도이다.
일 실시예에 있어서, 제 2 전극(400)은 다이오드 층(300)보다 더 넓을 수 있다. 제 2 전극(400)은 연결부를 포함하여 제 2 전극(400)은 다이오드 층(300)의 외부 둘레보다 돌출될 수 있다.
일 실시예에 있어서, 상기 제 2 전극(400)은 적어도 일부가 각진 형태로 형성되는 연결부(410)를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 한다. 연결부(410)는 기판(100) 또는 하부 기판(600)에 형성된 전기 회로와 전기적으로 연결된다. 다이오드 층(300)이 입사되는 광으로부터 출력하는 전기적 에너지는 연결부(410)를 통해 기판(100) 또는 하부 기판(600)에 형성된 전기 회로로 전달된다.
도 6은 일 실시예에 따른 제 1 전극(200), 다이오드 층(300) 및 제 2 전극(400)의 사시도이다.
제 1 전극(200), 다이오드 층(300) 및 제 2 전극(400)은 중심축(700)이 일치하는 상태에서 상하로 적층된다. 중심축(700)은 기판(100)을 상면에서 수직으로 내려 다 본 상태에서의 중심축(700)이다.
제 1 전극(200), 다이오드 층(300) 및 제 2 전극(400)은 도넛 형태로 형성된다. 즉, 제 1 전극(200), 다이오드 층(300) 및 제 2 전극(400)의 중심부에는 투과 영역인 개구가 형성된다. 발광부(500)가 조사하는 광은 개구를 통해 기판(100) 외부로 출력 된다.
제 1 전극(200), 다이오드 층(300) 및 제 2 전극(400)이 상하로 적층된 상태를 수광부라고 하면, 수광부는 분할된 기 설정된 일정 영역을 포함할 수 있다. 수광부는 흡수 또는 반사된 광 신호를 수신한 영역 정보를 구동부(900)로 전송할 수 있다.
구동부(900)는 상기 영역 정보를 수신하고, 상기 수광부의 광 신호 수신 위치를 확인할 수 있다. 이 때, 수광부가 기 설정된 일정 영역으로 분할되는 경우, 사용자가 구동부(900)를 이용한 제어로, 수광부를 적절한 모양으로 나눌 수 있다. 예를 들어, 도넛 모양의 수광부를 3분할할 수도 있고, 4분할, 5분할, 2분할 등 적절하게 분할할 수 있다.
예를 들어, 수광부를 기 설정된 영역으로 나누어, 수광부 상층, 수광부 하측, 수광부 좌측, 수광부 우측으로 나눌 수 있다. 발광부(500)로부터 조사된 광 신호가 대상물에 반사되어 수광부 상층에 감지되는 경우, 수광부 상층에 감지되었음을 나타내는 영역 정보를 구동부(900)로 전송하고, 구동부(900)는 수광부 상층에 광신호가 수신되었음을 확인할 수 있다.
도 7은 다른 실시예에 따른 광 감지 장치의 구조를 도시하는 단면도이다.
일 실시예에 있어서, 기판(100)은 제 1 전극(200) 하부에 위치한다. 자세하게 기판(100)의 수광 영역(110)이 제 1 전극(200) 하부에 위치한다.
일 실시예에 있어서, 광 감지 장치는 상기 기판(100) 상의 개구를 포함하는 차폐층(800)을 더 포함한다. 차폐층은 투광영역 상에 위치하여 개구를 포함한다. 차폐층(800)은 제 1 전극(200)과 일정 간격 떨어져서 기판(100) 상에 위치하여 제 1 전극(200)과 전기적으로 분리된다. 일정 간격은 80~120um이다. 차폐층(800)은 갈륨 알루미늄 산화아연(GAZO,), 갈륨 도프 산화아연(GZO), 인듐 틴 옥사이드(ITO) 중 어느 하나로 이루 진다.공정상으로 차폐층(800)은 제 2 전극(400)을 제작하는 과정에서 형성될 수 있다. 기판(100) 상부에 다이오드 층(300)이 형성되면 기판(100) 상부 전면에 금속을 증착하고 에칭 공정으로 필요없는 부분을 제거하면 제 2 전극(400) 및 차폐층(800)이 동시에 생성된다.
일 실시예에 있어서, 상기 차폐층 면적은 상기 다이오드 층 면적보다 더 크다. 구동부의 송신부가 차폐층과 연결되고 상호 커패시턴스 방식으로 정전용량을 감지하는 경우 TX 전극의 면적이 넓어야 할 필요가 있기에 차폐층 면적은 상기 다이오드 층 면적보다 넓다.
일 실시예에 있어서, 상기 차폐층의 외부 둘레 반경은 500um~1500um이다. 외부 둘레 반경은 도넛 형상의 차폐층의 바깥쪽 원의 반지름이다. 외부 둘레 반경은 도 7에 도시된 a이다.
일 실시예에 있어서, 상기 개구의 외부 둘레 반경은 50um~500um이다. 외부 둘레 반경은 개구의 반지름이다. 외부 둘레 반경은 도 7에 도시된 b이다.
일 실시예에 있어서, 더미층(1000)은 상기 수광영역을 둘러싸며 배치된다. 더미층(1000)은 다이오드층이 시인되지 않도록 하고 광 감지 장치의 내부 회로가 외부에서 보이지 않도록 한다. 더미층(1000)은 제 1 전극과 이격되어 제 1 전극 외곽에 위치한다. 상기 더미층은 제 1 전극과 10um~200um 이내로 이격되어 위치할 수 있다. 10um 미만으로 이격되는 경우 제 1 전극과 더미층 간의 쇼트가 발생할 수 있고, 200um를 초과하여 이격되는 경우 다이오드 층이 시인될 수 있다.
일 실시예에 있어서, 상기 제 1 전극(200)은 상기 기판(100)상의 상기 차폐층(800)을 둘러싸고, 상기 차폐층(800)과 이격되어 동일 평면에 위치하는 것을 특징으로 한다. 상기 차폐층은 제 1 전극과 10um~200um 이내로 이격되어 위치할 수 있다. 10um 미만으로 이격되는 경우 제 1 전극과 차폐층 간의 쇼트가 발생할 수 있고, 200um를 초과하여 이격되는 경우 다이오드 층이 시인될 수 있다. 차폐층(800)은 제 1 전극(200)에 형성된 개구안에 위치하여 발광부(500)가 조사하는 광의 시야(FOV, Field of View)를 축소 시킨다.
일 실시예에 있어서, 상기 구동부(900)는 차폐층과 전기적으로 연결되어 상기 기판 하부에 대상물이 위치함에 따라 변화하는 차폐층과 대상물 간의 정전 용량을 감지하는 것을 특징으로 한다.
구동부(900)는 지속적으로 차폐층이 출력하는 정전 용량 감지 신호를 수신하여, 실시간으로 차폐층과 대상물 간의 정전용량을 측정한다. 정전 용량이 기설정된 수치 이상이 되면, 광 감지 장치가 착용되었다는 신호를 출력한다. 예를 들어 광 감지 장치의 디스플레이부로 출력한다.
구동부(900)가 차폐층 및 제 1 전극과 모두 연결되어 있는 경우, 구동부(900)는 일정 시간 간격으로 제 1 전극이 출력하는 정전 용량 감지 신호 및 다이오드 층이 출력하는 광전류 신호를 번갈아 가며 수신하되, 차폐층이 출력하는 정전 용량 감지 신호 및 다이오드 층이 출력하는 광전류 신호는 동시에 수신하는 것을 특징으로 한다.
일 실시예에 있어서, 광 감지 장치는 투광영역 및 수광영역을 포함하는 기판, 상기 투광영역 상에 상기 기판과 이격하여 배치되는 발광부, 상기 수광영역 상의 제 1 전극, 상기 제 1 전극 상의 다이오드층, 상기 기판 상의 개구를 포함하는 차폐층, 상기 다이오드 층 상의 제 2 전극 및 차폐층과 전기적으로 연결되어 상기 기판 하부에 대상물이 위치함에 따라 변화하는 차폐층과 대상물 간의 정전 용량을 감지하는 구동부(900)를 포함한다.
구동부(900)는 차폐층이 출력하는 정전 용량 감지 신호 및 다이오드 층이 출력하는 광전류 신호를 동시에 수신하는 것을 특징으로 한다.
도 8은 일 실시예에 따른 광 감지 소자의 구조를 도시하는 단면도이다.
일 실시예에 있어서, 광 감지 소자는 투광 영역(120) 및 수광 영역(110)을 포함하는 기판(100), 상기 수광 영역(110) 상의 제 1 전극(200), 상기 제 1 전극(200) 상의 다이오드 층(300), 및 상기 다이오드 층(300) 상의 제 2 전극(400)을 포함하고 상기 수광 영역(110)은 상기 투광 영역(120)을 둘러싸고 상기 다이오드 층(300)은 비정질 실리콘을 포함한다.
일 실시예에 있어서, 기판(100)은 투광 영역(120) 및 수광 영역(110)을 포함한다. 기판(100)은 광 감지 장치를 구성하는 구성요소들이 위치하기 위한 베이스 기판(100)으로 사용될 수 있다. 투광 영역(120)은 후술할 발광 소자가 출력하는 광이 기판(100) 외부로 투과되는 영역이다. 수광 영역(110)은 발광 소자가 출력한 광이 반사되어 기판(100)으로 입사되는 영역이다.

일 실시예에 있어서, 제 2 전극(400)은 다이오드 층(300) 상에 위치한다. 제 2 전극(400)은 발광 소자가 출력한 광이 반사되어 입사하는 경로 상에 위치한다. 다이오드 층(300)이 출력한 전류는 제 2 전극(400)을 통해 제 2 전극(400)과 전기적으로 연결된 소자로 흐르게 된다.
제 2 전극(400)은 제 1 전극(200)과 다이오드 층(300)을 통과한 빛이 재 반사되어 다이오드 층(300)에서 재흡수될수 있도록 반사율이 높은 금속을 포함한다. 제 2 전극(400)은 예를 들어 알루미늄(Al) 또는 은(Ag)를 포함한다.
제 2 전극(400)의 두께는 350~450nm 이다.
전술한 제 1 전극(200), 다이오드 층(300) 및 제 2 전극(400)은 기판(100)의 표면에 순차적으로 적층된다. 이때 제 1 전극(200), 다이오드 층(300) 및 제 2 전극(400)의 형상을 다양하게 변형할 수 있다.
제 1 전극(200), 다이오드 층(300) 및 제 2 전극(400)은 발광부(500)의 중심축(700)으로부터 좌우로 기설정된 거리 이내에 위치 한다. 발광부(500)가 출력하는 광이 통과할 수 있는 통과 영역을 포함한다.
다이오드 층(300) 기판(100) 상부에 진공증착법으로 박막 형태로 형성된다.
일 실시예에 있어서, 수광 영역(110)은 투광 영역(120)을 둘러싼다. 투광 영역(120)은 기판(100)의 중심부에 위치하고, 수광 영역(110)은 기판(100)의 가장자리에 위치한다.
도 9는 일 실시예에 따른 다이오드 층(300)의 구조를 도시하는 단면도이다.
일 실시예에 있어서, 다이오드 층(300)은 P층(310), 실리콘층(320) 및 N층(330)을 포함한다. P층(310), 실리콘층(320) 및 N층(330)은 기판(100)상에 수직 방향으로 적층된다.
일 실시예에 있어서 P층(310)은 제 1 전극(200) 상부에 배치된다. P층(310)은 단결정 실리콘, 다결정 실리콘 및 비정질 실리콘 중 어느 하나를 포함한다.
일 실시예에 있어서, 실리콘층(320)은 P층(310) 상부에 배치된다. 실리콘층(320)은 단결정 실리콘, 다결정 실리콘 및 비정질 실리콘 중 어느 하나를 포함한다.
일 실시예에 있어서, N층(330)은 실리콘층(320) 상부에 배치된다. N층(330)은 단결정 실리콘, 다결정 실리콘 및 비정질 실리콘 중 어느 하나를 포함한다.
일 실시예에 있어서, 상기 제 1 전극(200)은 광 신호 투과부(210) 및 돌출부(220)를 포함한다.
일 실시예에 있어서, 광 신호 투과부(210)는 광 신호를 투과 시킨다. 광 신호 투과부(210)는 기판(100) 인근에 위치한 대상물로부터 반사된 광을 투과 시킨다. 투과된 광은 다이오드 층(300)이 수신한다.
일 실시예에 있어서, 제 1 전극(200)은 다이오드 층(300)보다 더 넓을 수 있다. 제 1 전극(200)은 돌출부(220)를 포함하여 제 1 전극은 다이오드 층(300)의 외부 둘레보다 돌출될 수 있다.
일 실시예에 있어서, 돌출부(220)는 상기 다이오드 층(300)과 접촉하지 않고 외부로 노출된다. 자세하게, 돌출부(220)는 다이오드 층(300)의 외부 둘레보다 더 돌출되어 형성될 수 있다. 돌출부(220)는 기판(100) 또는 하부 기판(600)에 형성된 전기 회로와 전기적으로 연결된다. 다이오드 층(300)이 입사되는 광으로부터 출력하는 전기적 에너지는 돌출부(220)를 통해 기판(100) 또는 하부 기판(600)에 형성된 전기 회로로 전달된다.
광 신호 투과부(210)는 다이오드 층(300)과 직접적으로 연결되고, 돌출부(220)는 광 신호 투과부(210)를 통해 간접적으로 다이오드 층(300)과 연결된다.
일 실시예에 있어서, 상기 돌출부(220)는 적어도 일부가 각진 형태로 형성되는 것을 특징으로 한다. 돌출부(220)는 광 신호 투과부(210)와 거리가 멀어질수록 면적이 줄어들어 일단이 각진 형태로 구성된다. 돌출부(220)의 형태는 이에 한정되는 것은 아니고 광 신호 투과부(210) 바깥쪽 영역으로 형성되는 형태라면 그 제한이 없다.
일 실시예에 있어서, 상기 돌출부(220)는 도넛 형태로 형성되는 것을 특징으로 한다. 돌출부(220)는 광 신호 투과부(210) 안쪽 영역에 도넛 형태로 형성된다. 돌출부(220)에 구비된 개구를 통해 발광부(500)가 조사하는 광이 통과할 수 있다. 광 신호 투과부(210)는 다이오드 층(300)과 직접적으로 연결되고, 돌출부(220)는 광 신호 투과부(210)를 통해 간접적으로 다이오드 층(300)과 연결된다. 돌출부(220)는 기판(100) 또는 하부 기판(600)에 형성된 전기 회로와 전기적으로 연결된다.
일 실시예에 있어서, 상기 제 2 전극(400)은 적어도 일부가 각진 형태로 형성되는 연결부(410)를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 한다. 연결부(410)는 기판(100) 또는 하부 기판(600)에 형성된 전기 회로와 전기적으로 연결된다. 다이오드 층(300)이 입사되는 광으로부터 출력하는 전기적 에너지는 연결부(410)를 통해 기판(100) 또는 하부 기판(600)에 형성된 전기 회로로 전달된다.
제 1 전극(200), 다이오드 층(300) 및 제 2 전극(400)은 중심축(700)이 일치하는 상태에서 상하로 적층된다. 중심축(700)은 기판(100)을 상면에서 수직으로 내려 다 본 상태에서의 중심축(700)이다.
제 1 전극(200), 다이오드 층(300) 및 제 2 전극(400)은 도넛 형태로 형성된다. 즉, 제 1 전극(200), 다이오드 층(300) 및 제 2 전극(400)의 중심부에는 투과 영역인 개구가 형성된다. 발광부(500)가 조사하는 광은 개구를 통해 기판(100) 외부로 출력 된다.
제 1 전극(200), 다이오드 층(300) 및 제 2 전극(400)이 상하로 적층된 상태를 수광부라고 하면, 수광부는 분할된 기 설정된 일정 영역을 포함할 수 있다. 수광부는 흡수 또는 반사된 광 신호를 수신한 영역 정보를 구동부(900)로 전송할 수 있다.
구동부(900)는 상기 영역 정보를 수신하고, 상기 수광부의 광 신호 수신 위치를 확인할 수 있다. 이 때, 수광부가 기 설정된 일정 영역으로 분할하는 경우, 사용자가 구동부(900)를 이용한 제어로, 수광부를 적절한 모양으로 나눌 수 있다. 예를 들어, 도넛 모양의 수광부를 3분할할 수도 있고, 4분할, 5분할, 2분할 등 적절하게 분할할 수 있다.
예를 들어, 수광부를 기 설정된 영역으로 나누어, 수광부 상층, 수광부 하측, 수광부 좌측, 수광부 우측으로 나눌 수 있다. 발광부(500)로부터 조사된 광 신호가 대상물에 반사되어 수광부 상층에 감지되는 경우, 수광부 상층에 감지되었음을 나타내는 영역 정보를 구동부(900)로 전송하고, 구동부(900)는 수광부 상층에 광신호가 수신되었음을 확인할 수 있다.
도 10은 다른 실시예에 따른 광 감지 소자의 구조를 도시하는 단면도이다.
일 실시예에 있어서, 기판(100)은 제 1 전극(200) 하부에 위치한다. 자세하게 기판(100)의 수광 영역(110)이 제 1 전극(200) 하부에 위치한다.
일 실시예에 있어서, 광 감지 소자는 상기 기판(100) 상의 개구를 포함하는 차폐층(800)을 더 포함한다. 차폐층(800)은 제 1 전극(200)과 일정 간격 떨어져서 기판(100) 상에 위치하여 제 1 전극(200)과 전기적으로 분리된다. 일정 간격은 80~120um이다. 차폐층(800)은 금속으로 이루어져 있고 금속은 예를 들어 알루미늄(Al)이다. 공정상으로 차폐층(800)은 제 2 전극(400)을 제작하는 과정에서 형성될 수 있다. 기판(100) 상부에 다이오드 층(300)이 형성되면 기판(100) 상부 전면에 금속을 증착하고 에칭 공정으로 필요없는 부분을 제거하면 제 2 전극(400) 및 차폐층(800)이 동시에 생성된다.
일 실시예에 있어서, 상기 제 1 전극(200)은 상기 기판(100)상의 상기 차폐층(800)을 둘러싸고, 상기 차폐층(800)과 이격되어 동일 평면에 위치하는 것을 특징으로 한다. 차폐층(800)은 제 1 전극(200)에 형성된 개구안에 위치하여 발광부(500)가 조사하는 광의 시야(FOV, Field of View)를 축소 시킨다.
본 발명은 첨부된 도면에 도시된 일 실시예를 참고로 설명되었으나 이는 예시적인 것에 불과하며, 당해 기술 분야에서 통상의 지식을 가진 자라면 이로부터 다양한 변형 및 균등한 타 실시예가 가능하다는 점을 이해할 수 있을 것이다. 본 발명에 따른 광 감지 소자 및 광 감지 장치는 먼지 센서, 가스 센서, 컬러 센서 등에 사용될 수 있음은 당해 기술 분야에서 통상의 지식을 가진자에게 자명할 것이다. 전술한 센서에 한정되는 것은 아니다. 따라서, 본 발명의 진정한 보호 범위는 첨부된 청구 범위에 의해서만 정해 져야 할 것이다.

Claims (10)

  1. 투광영역 및 상기 투광영역을 둘러싸는 수광영역을 포함하는 기판;
    상기 투광영역 상의 개구를 포함하는 차폐층;
    상기 수광영역 상의 제 1 전극;
    상기 제 1 전극 상의 다이오드층; 및
    상기 다이오드 층 상의 제 2 전극;을 포함하고
    상기 제 1 전극은 상기 차폐층을 둘러싸고, 상기 차폐층과 이격되어 동일 평면에 위치하는,
    광 감지 소자.
  2. 제 1 항에 있어서,
    상기 다이오드층은,
    상기 제 1 전극 상부에 배치되는 P층;
    상기 P층 상부에 배치되는 실리콘층;
    상기 실리콘층 상부에 배치되는 N층; 을 포함하고
    광 감지 소자.
  3. 제 1 항에 있어서,
    상기 제 1 전극은 상기 하부기판을 향하여 배치되는
    광 감지 소자.
  4. 제 1 항에 있어서,
    상기 제 1 전극, 제 2 전극 및 차폐층 중 적어도 하나는 정전용량 감지를 위한 구동부와 전기적으로 연결되는 광 감지 소자.
  5. 제 2 항에 있어서,
    상기 제 1 전극, 제 2 전극 및 차폐층 중 하나는 상기 구동부의 송신부로 연결되고, 나머지 두 개중 하나는 상기 구동부의 수신부로 연결되는 광 감지 소자.
  6. 제 4항에 있어서,
    상기 차폐층은 상기 송신부와 연결되는
    광 감지 소자
  7. 제 1항에 있어서,
    상기 차폐층 면적은 상기 다이오드 층 면적보다 더 큰
    광 감지 소자
  8. 제 1항에 있어서,
    상기 수광영역을 둘러싸며 배치되는 더미층을 포함하고,
    상기 더미층은 상기 차폐층과 동일 평면에 배치되는
    광 감지 소자
  9. 제 1 항에 있어서,
    상기 차폐층의 외부 둘레 반경은 500um~1500um이고,
    상기 개구의 외부 둘레 반경은 50um~500um이며,
    상기 제 1 전극의 두께는 350nm~450nm이고,
    상기 다이오드 층의 외부 둘레 반경은 1000um~2000um이며,
    상기 제 2 전극의 두께는 350nm~450nm인
    광 감지 소자.
  10. 하부 기판;
    투광영역 및 수광영역을 포함하는 기판;
    상기 투광영역 상의 개구를 포함하는 차폐층을 포함하고,
    상기 투광영역 상에 상기 차폐층과 이격하여 배치되고, 하부 기판에 배치되는 발광부;
    상기 수광영역 상의 제 1 전극;
    상기 제 1 전극 상의 다이오드층;
    상기 다이오드 층 상의 제 2 전극; 및
    상기 제 1 전극은 상기 기판상의 상기 차폐층을 둘러싸고, 상기 차폐층과 이격되어 동일 평면에 위치하는
    광 감지 장치.
