Description
TROUSERS WITH DETACHABLE COIN POCKET
DESCRIPTION
The present patent concerns trousers equipped with a coin pocket, and in particular it concerns a new type of trousers equipped with a detachable coin pocket.
Trousers can be without pockets or equipped with one or more pockets which may be arranged on the front side, on the rear side or on both the front and the rear side.
Some trousers are equipped with a small pocket, usually positioned on the front side of the trousers themselves and intended to contain coins.
Taking the coins that are inside the coin pocket may be difficult, especially when the trousers are tight-fitting or when the person who wears them is sitting.
Another drawback is represented by the fact that in order to extract one or more coins from said coin pocket of the trousers it is necessary to use one or maximum two fingers, in order to move the coin or coins towards the upper opening of the coin pocket itself.
If it is necessary to give some coins to another person, be it a friend or a son/daughter, in order to pay an amount that is not known, it is necessary to extract all or many of the coins from the coin pocket of the trousers and hand them over to the other person loose as they are, with the risk that they may slip from the hands or fall down and be lost.
When changing trousers, or simply when they need washing, it is necessary to extract all the coins from the coin pocket and then put them in the coin pocket of another pair of trousers.
In order to overcome all the above mentioned drawbacks, a new pair of trousers with a detachable coin pocket has been designed and produced.
It is one object of the present invention to provide new trousers equipped with a detachable coin pocket that make it easier to transfer coins from one pair of
trousers to another.
It is another object of the invention to provide new trousers equipped with a detachable coin pocket that make it easier to take one or more coins from the pocket itself.
It is another object of the invention to provide new trousers equipped with a detachable coin pocket that make it possible to hand all of the coins over to a person with no need to take them from a fixed pocket, while at the same time reducing as much as possible the risk that the person to whom the coins are given may lose some of them.
These and other direct and complementary objects are achieved by the new trousers equipped with a detachable coin pocket.
The new trousers are constituted by a pair of trousers of the known type, equipped with an additional coin pocket that is attached to the trousers themselves in a removable manner.
The additional removable coin pocket comprises at least two substantially identical superimposed portions of fabric that are closed and joined along all the edges except for the upper edge.
According to the invention, this additional removable coin pocket can be made up of a single portion of fabric bent so as to obtain two superimposed layers, closed on all sides except for the upper side.
On one larger side of said additional removable coin pocket there are joining means or elements suited to join it to the trousers in a removable manner.
In the same way, the trousers are provided with joining means or elements suited to join them to said additional removable coin pocket.
Said joining elements or means suited to join the trousers and the additional coin pocket in a removable manner can be constituted, for example, by hooks or by Velcro fabric or by buttons and buttonholes.
According to the preferred solution, said joining elements or means suited to join
the trousers and the additional coin pocket in a removable manner are press studs, the male half of which is fixed to the trousers, while the female half is fixed to the additional removable coin pocket.
According to the invention, said additional removable coin pocket is fixed to the front part of the trousers, in the position in which the so-called fifth pocket is usually situated.
In particular, according to the invention the length of said additional removable coin pocket is such that its lower edge is situated inside the usual pocket present on trousers in the position of the so-called fifth pocket.
At the level of or in proximity to the upper edge, each portion of fabric is provided with an elastic element suited to maintain the two upper edges of the two portions of fabric joined together.
In the preferred solution, said elastic elements are constituted by elastic metallic foils which are parallel to the upper edge of each portion of fabric and joined to their sides at the level of the lateral edges of the two portions of fabric.
The additional coin pocket can thus be attached to the trousers or detached from them with no need to carry out particular and/or complicated manoeuvres.
After detaching the additional coin pocket from the trousers, it is possible to give it to another person together with the coins it contains, with no need to look for and/or extract the needed coin or coins, thus avoiding the risk of losing one coin or some of the coins during the handover, and considerably reducing the risk that the person to whom the additional pocket is given may lose some coins.
If it is necessary to transfer the coins from one pair of trousers to another pair of trousers, it is sufficient to detach the additional coin pocket from the trousers on which it is fixed and attach it to another pair of trousers. In this way, all of the coins are transferred, with some simple movements, with no risk of leaving some coins in the first pair of trousers and with no risk of losing some of them.
A practical embodiment of the invention is illustrated in the attached drawings by
way of non-limiting example.
Figure 1 shows the upper part of a new pair of trousers (P) equipped with a detachable coin pocket (T).
Figures 2a and 2b show two detail views of the new trousers (P), in which it is possible to observe the detachable coin pocket (T) respectively when it is attached to the trousers (P) and when it is detached from the trousers (P).
Figure 3 shows a partially lateral top view of the detachable coin pocket (T). The new trousers (P) are constituted by one pair of trousers (P) of the known type, equipped with an additional coin pocket (T) joined to the trousers (P) themselves in a removable manner.
The additional removable coin pocket (T) comprises two substantially identical superimposed portions of fabric (Ta, Tb) closed and joined along all the edges except for the upper edge (Tc).
In proximity to the upper edge (Tc) of the additional coin pocket (T) there are two press studs (Bt), for example the female half of said press studs.
In the same way, the trousers (P) are provided with corresponding complementary press studs (Bp), for example the corresponding male half of said press studs. At the level of said upper edge (Tc) of the additional coin pocket (T) there are two elastic parallel metallic foils (Td), each joined to or included in the front or rear portion of fabric (Ta, Tb). Said two metallic foils (Td) are joined to or included in the entire upper edge (Tc) of the additional coin pocket (T) and are joined to each other at the level of their lateral edges and of the lateral edges of said additional coin pocket (T).
Said two metallic foils (Td) are suited to maintain the two upper edges (Tc) of the two portions of fabric (Ta, Tb) joined together, but allow access to the inside of the additional coin pocket (T), which is possible by simply pressing or moving the two opposite edges of the two foils (Td) near each other, as shown in Figure 3. These are the schematic outlines that are sufficient to the expert in the art to carry
out the invention, consequently, upon implementation some variants may be made that do not affect the substance of the innovative concept introduced herein.
Therefore, with reference to the preceding description and the attached drawings, the following claims are expressed.
