Abstract
La présente invention concerne un système moteur à circuit (21) de recirculation des gaz brulés provenant d'un moteur atmosphérique, dans lequel le circuit de recirculation (21) comporte une turbine (30) de récupération d'énergie recevant les gaz d'échappement.
Description
SYSTEME MOTEUR AVEC CIRCUIT DE RECIRCULATION DES GAZ BRULES
La présente invention concerne un système moteur et plus particulièrement un système moteur atmosphérique à circuit de recirculation des gaz brûlés.
L'invention s'intéresse plus particulièrement aux systèmes moteurs atmosphériques à recirculation des gaz d'échappement, dans lesquels une fraction des gaz d'échappement prélevée est mélangée aux gaz admis, après traversée d'une vanne EGR créant une chute de pression. Une telle recirculation permet notamment de réduire la teneur en oxydes d'azote (NOx) des gaz d'échappement des moteurs. La chute de pression précitée entraîne une déperdition d'énergie qui n'est pas récupérée dans les moteurs actuels.
L'invention vise à améliorer encore la performance des moteurs atmosphériques et la recirculation des gaz brûlés.
Pour cela la présente invention propose, un système moteur à circuit de recirculation des gaz brûlés provenant d'un moteur atmosphérique, dans lequel le circuit de recirculation comporte une turbine de récupération d'énergie recevant les gaz d'échappement.
La présence d'une telle turbine permet la récupération de l'énergie des gaz d'échappement.
Selon un mode de réalisation de l'invention, le circuit de recirculation comporte un dispositif de traitement des gaz brûlés en amont de la turbine.
Selon un mode de réalisation de l'invention, une partie des gaz brûlés est captée en amont ou en aval du dispositif de traitement des gaz brûlés pour les réinjecter dans le moteur.
Selon un mode de réalisation de l'invention, le système comporte un volet de contre pression échappement pour faciliter la recirculation des gaz.
Selon un mode de réalisation de l'invention, lequel le volet est disposé en aval du dispositif de traitement des gaz brûlés.
Selon un mode de réalisation de l'invention, la turbine est accouplée à un générateur électrique.
Selon un mode de réalisation de l'invention, l'énergie délivrée par le générateur est utilisée au moins en partie pour alimenter un moteur électrique d'assistance au vilebrequin du moteur atmosphérique.
Selon un mode de réalisation de l'invention, la turbine de récupération d'énergie est accouplée mécaniquement au vilebrequin du moteur atmosphérique.
L'invention concerne également un véhicule, notamment automobile, équipé d'un système moteur tel que défini selon l'invention.
D'autres buts, caractéristiques et avantages de l'invention seront mieux compris et apparaîtront plus clairement à la lecture de la description faite, ci-après, en se référant à la figure 1 annexée, donnée à titre d'exemple et illustrant une turbine de récupération d'énergie dans le circuit de recirculation, conformément à l'invention, sur cette figure les traits en pointillés signalent des options.
L'architecture représentée à la figure 1, sur laquelle les traits en pointillés signalent des options, encore appelée système moteur, comporte de façon un moteur atmosphérique 17 relié à un circuit 11 d'admission d'air dans le moteur et un filtre à air 12 en entrée. Un dispositif de réglage de débit 16, tel que par exemple une vanne papillon, permet de contrôler le débit d'air admis dans le moteur à combustion interne 17. Ce dernier est relié à un circuit d'échappement 18.
Le circuit d'échappement 18 comporte également, un dispositif 20 de traitement des gaz brûlés.
Un circuit 21 de recirculation, muni d'un refroidisseur 22, capte une partie des gaz brûlés, en amont M ou en aval V du dispositif 20 de traitement des gaz brûlés, pour les réinjecter avec un débit contrôlé dans le moteur 17, par l'intermédiaire d'une vanne 23 dite vanne EGR qui crée une perte de charge suffisante. La réinjection des gaz brûlés se fait en amont du moteur et en aval du boîtier 16 papillon.
Conformément à l'invention, une turbine 30 de récupération d'énergie est placée dans le circuit 21 de recirculation des gaz brûlés, cette turbine réalisant sensiblement le même taux de détente que la vanne 23 EGR, créant ainsi une chute de pression permettant d'amener les gaz à réinjecter à une pression compatible avec cette réinjection. Ainsi, la vanne 23 EGR peut être remplacée par une vanne 31 introduisant
une perte de charge plus faible, et qui est par exemple de fonctionnement en tout ou rien.
La rotation de la turbine 30 est mise à profit pour assister le fonctionnement du véhicule, par exemple en soulageant l'alternateur dans la production d'électricité et/ou en apportant une assistance mécanique au moteur ou à des éléments de l'architecture moteur tels que le turbocompresseur par exemple.
Dans un exemple illustré figure 1, la turbine 30 est accouplée à un générateur électrique 33. Un moteur électrique 34 est accouplé au vilebrequin 40 du moteur 17, pour lui apporter une assistance mécanique. Ce moteur 34 est alimenté au moins en partie par l'électricité produite par le générateur 33.
Dans un exemple illustré figure 1, la turbine 30 est accouplée mécaniquement au vilebrequin 40 pour l'assister dans sa rotation. Cet accouplement peut s'effectuer par une transmission 35 qui peut être de tout type, par exemple à courroie(s) et /ou engrenages.
Un avantage de la récupération de puissance dans le circuit de recirculation des gaz brûlés est l'absence d'impact en contrepression sur le moteur, et cette récupération d'énergie peut ainsi se faire sans augmentation de consommation de carburant ni de polluants.
Dans une application à un véhicule automobile, une simulation fait apparaître que la zone de récupération maximale d'énergie se situe sur des points de fonctionnement moteur où le véhicule est en fonctionnement stabilisé à une vitesse relativement grande, supérieure à 80 km/h, ce qui permet de récupérer de façon permanente l'énergie là où les systèmes hybrides sont inopérants. De plus, l'extraction de l'enthalpie des gaz de recirculation permet de sous-dimensionner les composants du circuit de recirculation en aval, étant soumis à une température plus faible. Le cas échéant, selon la calibration du moteur, la vanne 31 peut être supprimée.
Bien entendu, l'invention n'est pas limitée aux exemples illustrés.
Ainsi selon un mode de réalisation de l'invention, la vanne 31 est supprimée.
Selon un autre mode de réalisation de l'invention, le système comporte un volet 38 de contre pression échappement pour faciliter la recirculation des gaz. Ce volet est disposé en aval du dispositif 20 de traitement des gaz brûlés.
Selon un autre mode de réalisation de l'invention, la turbine de récupération d'énergie comporte une vanne 36 de contournement. Cette vanne est utilisée suivant les points de fonctionnement du moteur.
L'invention s'applique à un moteur de véhicule terrestre, naval ou aérien, et au moteur stationnaire. L'expression "comportant un" doit se comprendre comme étant synonyme de "comprenant au moins un".
Claims
1. Système moteur à circuit (21) de recirculation des gaz brûlés provenant d'un moteur atmosphérique, dans lequel le circuit de recirculation (21) comporte une turbine (30) de récupération d'énergie recevant les gaz d'échappement.
2. Système moteur selon la revendication 1, dans lequel le circuit de recirculation (21) comporte un dispositif (20) de traitement des gaz brûlés en amont de la turbine (30).
3. Système moteur selon la revendication 1 ou 2, dans lequel une partie des gaz brûlés est captée en amont ou en aval du dispositif (20) de traitement des gaz brûlés pour les réinjecter dans le moteur (17),
4. Système moteur selon une des revendications 1 à 3, comportant un volet (38) de contre pression échappement pour faciliter la recirculation des gaz.
5. Système moteur selon la revendication 4, dans lequel le volet (38) est disposé en aval du dispositif (20) de traitement des gaz brûlés.
6. Système moteur selon l'une quelconque des revendications 1 à 5, dans lequel la turbine (30) est accouplée à un générateur électrique (33).
7. Système moteur selon la revendication 6, dans lequel l'énergie délivrée par le générateur (33) est utilisée au moins en partie pour alimenter un moteur électrique (34) d'assistance au vilebrequin (40) du moteur atmosphérique.
8. Système moteur selon l'une quelconque des revendications 1 à 5, dans lequel la turbine (30) de récupération d'énergie est accouplée mécaniquement au vilebrequin (40) du moteur atmosphérique (17).
9. Véhicule, notamment automobile, équipé d'un système moteur tel que défini à l'une quelconque des revendications 1 à 8.
