Abstract
The invention relates to an autonomous underwater vehicle (10) which has a hull (12) with an angular shape with respect to a cross-section, having an aspect ratio of not more than 1:1.5. Corresponding to a further aspect, an autonomous underwater vehicle for the deep sea use has a hull with a material proportion of greater than 50 % of a polymer material that has a specific weight of less than 1.0.
