Abstract
It is disclosed a trip assist device, which is to be installed in a vehicle, comprising: a real time traffic information receiver for receiving real time traffic information; a prediction unit for predicting the driving duration according to a preset departure time and a route and the real time traffic information; a reschedule unit to reschedule the departure time and/or a route; and an informing unit, configured to receive the new departure time and/or a new route from the reschedule unit and inform a signal indicating the new departure time and/or a new route accordingly. A method for assisting a trip is also provided. A trip assist system including the trip assist device further comprising a wearable device which receives reminder message from the informing unit and remind the driver is further provided.
