Abstract

본 발명은 배터리 팩에 관한 것이다.
일반적으로 배터리 팩은 재충전 가능한 배터리 셀과, 배터리 셀의 과충전 또는 과방전을 방지하는 보호회로모듈을 포함한다. 최근의 배터리 셀은 주로 리튬 이온 이차 전지 또는 리튬 이온 폴리머 전지일 수 있다. 또한, 보호회로모듈은 과충전이나 과방전을 방지하기 위한 다수의 회로 소자를 갖는다.
이러한 배터리 팩은 배터리 셀의 단락, 비정상 충전, 과충전, 강제 방전 등의 전기적 시험과 진동, 낙하, 충격 등 물리적 상황에서 배터리 셀의 폭발, 발화에 대한 안전성을 시험한다. 특히, 배터리 팩의 안전성 시험 중 낙하 및 충격 시험 시, 배터리 셀에 가해지는 충격으로 인해 배터리 셀과 보호회로모듈이 용접된 부분이 찢어져 전해액이 누액되는 현상이 발생 되기도 한다. 따라서, 배터리 셀에 가해지는 충격을 완화시키기 위한 구조가 필요하다.
본 발명은 낙하 시 배터리 셀에 가해지는 충격을 완화시킬 수 있는 배터리 팩을 제공한다.
본 발명에 의한 배터리 팩은 배터리 셀; 상기 배터리 셀의 상부에 안착된 보호회로모듈; 및 상기 배터리 셀과 상기 보호회로모듈을 전기적으로 연결하며, 상기 보호회로모듈에 결합된 제 1 리드 플레이트와, 상기 배터리 셀에 결합된 제 2 리드 플레이트 및 상기 제 1 리드 플레이트와 제 2 리드 플레이트를 연결하는 연결 플레이트를 갖는 리드 탭을 포함하고, 상기 연결 플레이트에는 상기 배터리 셀에 가해지는 충격을 완화시킬 수 있는 충격 완화부가 형성된다.
상기 충격 완화부는 상기 연결 플레이트를 관통하는 완화홀을 포함할 수 있다.
상기 완화홀은 상기 연결 플레이트에서 상기 제 1 리드 플레이트 및 제 2 리드 플레이트가 연결되지 않은 양측에 형성될 수 있다.
상기 충격 완화부는 상기 연결 플레이트에서 상대적으로 면적이 작게 형성된 부분일 수 있다.
상기 충격 완화부의 폭은 상기 연결 플레이트의 폭의 50%로 형성될 수 있다.
상기 충격 완화부는 상기 연결 플레이트에 형성된 완화홈을 포함할 수 있다.
상기 완화홈은 상기 연결 플레이트의 내측면에 형성될 수 있다.
상기 충격 완화부의 두께는 상기 연결 플레이트의 두께의 50%로 형성될 수 있다.
더불어, 본 발명에 의한 배터리 팩은 배터리 셀; 상기 배터리 셀의 상부에 안착된 보호회로모듈; 및 상기 배터리 셀과 상기 보호회로모듈을 전기적으로 연결하며, 상기 보호회로모듈에 결합된 제 1 리드 플레이트와, 상기 배터리 셀에 결합된 제 2 리드 플레이트 및 상기 제 1 리드 플레이트와 제 2 리드 플레이트를 연결하는 연결 플레이트를 갖는 리드 탭을 포함하고, 상기 연결 플레이트는 상기 배터리 셀에 가해지는 충격을 완화시킬 수 있도록 상기 제 1 리드 플레이트 및 제 2 리드 플레이트에 대해서 경사지게 형성된다.
상기 연결 플레이트에서 상기 제 1 리드 플레이트가 연결된 부분은 상기 보호회로모듈의 단부에 위치하고, 상기 연결 플레이트에서 상기 제 2 리드 플레이트가 연결된 부분은 상기 제 1 리드 플레이트가 연결된 부분보다 상기 보호회로모듈의 중심에 가깝게 위치할 수 있다.
본 발명의 일 실시예에 따른 배터리 팩은 보호회로모듈과 배터리 셀을 연결하는 리드 탭에 충격 완화부를 형성하여 배터리 셀에 가해지는 충격을 완화시킴으로써, 배터리 셀의 변형을 방지하고 배터리 셀을 보호할 수 있다. 이에 따라, 본 발명은 배터리 팩의 신뢰성을 향상시킬 수 있다.

도 1 내지 도 3을 참조하면, 본 발명의 일 실시예에 따른 배터리 팩(100)은 배터리 셀(110), 보호회로모듈(120), 리드 탭(130) 및 상부 커버(140)를 포함한다.
상기 배터리 셀(110)은 전극 조립체(111), 케이스(112) 및 캡 조립체(113)를 포함한다.
상기 전극 조립체(111)는 제 1 전극판(111a), 제 2 전극판(111b) 및 상기 제 1 전극판(111a)과 제 2 전극판(111b) 사이에 개재된 세퍼레이터(111c)를 포함한다. 상기 전극 조립체(111)는 제 1 전극판(111a), 제 2 전극판(111b) 및 세퍼레이터(111c)의 적층제가 젤리-롤 형태로 권취된다. 여기서, 제 1 전극판(111a)은 양극으로서 작용할 수 있으며, 제 2 전극판(111b)은 음극으로서 작용할 수 있다. 상기 제 1 전극판(111a)에는 제 1 전극탭(111d)이 부착되며, 상기 제 1 전극탭(111d)은 상기 전극 조립체(111)의 상부로 돌출된다. 또한, 상기 제 2 전극판(111b)에는 제 2 전극탭(111e)이 부착되며, 상기 제 2 전극탭(111e)은 상기 전극 조립체(111)의 상부로 돌출된다. 상기 전극 조립체(111)는 실질적으로 전해액과 함께 케이스(112)에 수납된다. 상기 전해액은 EC, PC, DEC, EMC, DMC와 같은 유기 용매에 LiPF6, LiBF4와 같은 리튬염으로 이루어질 수 있다. 또한, 상기 전해액은 액체, 고체 또는 겔상일 수 있다.
상기 케이스(112)는 알루미늄, 알루미늄 합금 또는 니켈이 도금된 스틸과 같은 도전성 금속으로 형성되며, 전극 조립체(111)가 삽입 안착될 수 있는 개구부가 형성된 대략 육면체 형상으로 이루어진다. 상기 케이스(112)는 하나의 극성, 예를 들어 양극으로서 작용할 수 있다.
상기 캡 조립체(113)는 상기 전극 조립체(111)의 상부에 위치하며, 상기 케이스(112)의 개구부에 결합되어 상기 케이스(112)를 밀봉한다. 상기 캡 조립체(113)는 전극 단자(114), 가스켓(115), 캡 플레이트(116), 절연 플레이트(117), 터미널 플레이트(118) 및 절연 케이스(119)를 포함한다. 상기 전극 단자(114)와 캡 플레이트(116) 사이에는 가스켓(115)이 삽입되며, 상기 전극 단자(114)와 터미널 플레이트(118)는 서로 전기적으로 연결된다. 또한, 상기 터미널 플레이트(118)에는 상기 제 2 전극탭(111e)이 전기적으로 연결된다. 따라서, 상기 전극 단자(114)는 제 2 전극탭(111e)과 전기적으로 연결된다. 상기 절연 플레이트(117)는 캡 플레이트(116)와 터미널 플레이트(118)를 절연시키게 된다. 상기 캡 플레이트(116)의 일측에는 전해액 주입구(116a)가 형성되어 있다. 상기 전해액 주입구(116a)에는 전해액이 주입된 다음에 전해액 주입구(116a)을 밀폐시키기 위하여 마개(미도시)가 설치된다. 또한, 상기 캡 플레이트(116)의 타측에는 안전벤트(116b)가 형성되어 있다. 상기 안전벤트(116b)는 상기 캡 플레이트(116)보다 얇게 형성된다. 상기 안전벤트(116b)는 케이스(112)의 내압이 상기 안전벤트(116b)의 작동 압력 이상이 되면 개방되어 가스를 방출한다. 상기 절연 케이스(119)는 상기 케이스(112)의 개구부에 형성되어, 상기 케이스(112)를 밀봉한다. 상기 절연 케이스(119)는 절연성을 가지는 고분자 수지이며, 폴리프로필렌(PP)으로 형성될 수 있다. 상기 절연 케이스(119)에는 제 1 전극탭(111d) 및 제 2 전극탭(111e)이 통과할 수 있도록 홀(119a, 119b)이 형성되어 있다. 또한, 상기 절연 케이스(119)에는 상기 전해액 주입구(116a)와 대응되는 위치에 전해액 통과공(119c)이 형성되어 있다.
상기 보호회로모듈(120)은 상기 배터리 셀(110)의 상부에 배치되어, 상기 배터리 셀(110)과 전기적으로 연결된다. 상기 보호회로모듈(120)은 보호회로기판(121), 단자 연결부재(122), 보호회로소자(123) 및 외부 단자(124)를 포함한다.
상기 보호회로기판(121)은 수지로 이루어진 플레이트로 형성되며, 상면(121a) 및 하면(121b)을 갖는다. 예를 들어, 상기 보호회로기판은 인쇄회로기판(PCB)으로 형성될 수 있다. 한편, 본 발명에서 보호회로기판(121)의 상면(121a)은 보호회로모듈(120)의 상면과 동일하고, 보호회로기판(121)의 하면(121b)은 보호회로모듈(120)의 하면과 동일한 것으로 정의하기로 한다.
상기 단자 연결부재(122)는 상기 보호회로기판(121)의 하면(121b)에 형성된다. 상기 단자 연결부재(122)는 상기 배터리 셀(110)의 전극 단자(114)에 용접되어, 상기 전극 단자(114)와 전기적으로 연결된다. 상기 단자 연결부재(122)에는 주변보다 단면적이 작은 퓨즈부가 형성되고, 상기 퓨즈부에는 절연부재(122a)가 형성된다.
상기 보호회로소자(123)는 상기 보호회로기판(121)의 하면(121b)에 형성되며, 충방전 회로 및 보호 회로를 포함한다. 상기 보호회로소자(123)는 상기 보호회로모듈(120)의 배선 패턴에 연결되어 배터리 셀(110)의 충방전 동작과 과충전 및 과방전 방지 동작을 수행할 수 있다.
상기 외부 단자(124)는 상기 보호회로기판(121)의 상면(121a)에 형성되며, 4개의 단자로 이루어질 수 있다. 상기 외부 단자(124)는 보호회로기판(121)과 외부 전자기기를 전기적으로 연결하는 역할을 한다. 또한, 상기 외부 단자(124)는 외부로 전류를 전달할 뿐만 아니라, 배터리 셀(110)의 전류와 전압을 측정할 수 있는 센싱 단자로서 역할을 할 수 있다.
상기 리드 탭(130)은 상기 보호회로모듈(120)과 상기 배터리 셀(110) 사이에 형성되며, 상기 보호회로모듈(120)을 상기 배터리 셀(110)의 상부에 안착시키는 역할을 한다. 상기 리드 탭(130)은 상기 보호회로모듈(120)의 하면에 솔더링을 통해 연결되고, 상기 배터리 셀(110)의 캡 플레이트(116)에 용접을 통해서 연결될 수 있다. 이에 따라, 상기 리드 탭(130)은 배터리 셀(110)과 캡 플레이트(116)를 전기적으로 연결한다. 상기 리드 탭(130)은 금속 재질, 예를 들어 니켈 또는 니켈 합금으로 이루어질 수 있다. 또한, 상기 리드 탭(130)은 상기 보호회로모듈(120)의 양측 단부에 형성되어, 상기 보호회로모듈(120)을 지지할 수 있다.
도 4a 및 도 4b를 참조하면, 상기 리드 탭(130)은 상기 보호회로모듈(120)에 결합되는 제 1 플레이트(131)와, 상기 배터리 셀(110)에 결합되는 제 2 플레이트(132) 및 상기 제 1 플레이트(131)와 상기 제 2 플레이트(132)를 연결하는 연결 플레이트(133)를 포함한다. 또한, 상기 리드 탭(130)은 충격 완화부(134)를 더 포함한다.
상기 제 1 플레이트(131)는 보호회로기판(121)의 하면(121b)에 결합되며, 상기 보호회로기판(121)과 평행하게 형성된다. 구체적으로, 상기 제 1 플레이트(131)는 상기 보호회로기판(121)의 하면(121b)에 솔더링을 통해서 결합될 수 있다. 또한, 상기 제 1 플레이트(131)는 보호회로기판(121)의 일측 단부에 결합된다.
상기 제 2 플레이트(132)는 캡 플레이트(116)의 상면에 결합되며, 상기 캡 플레이트(116)와 평행하게 형성된다. 또한, 상기 제 2 플레이트(132)는 상기 제 1 플레이트(131)와 이격되며, 상기 제 1 플레이트(131)와 평행하게 형성된다. 구체적으로 상기 제 2 플레이트(132)는 상기 캡 플레이트(116)의 상면에 저항 용접, 레이저 용접, 초음파 용접 등을 통해서 결합될 수 있다. 상기 제 2 플레이트(132)는 상기 보호회로기판(121)으로부터 돌출되게 형성된다.
상기 연결 플레이트(133)는 상기 제 1 플레이트(131)와 상기 제 2 플레이트(132)를 연결한다. 상기 연결 플레이트(133)는 상기 제 1 플레이트(131) 및 제 2 플레이트(132)와 수직하게 형성된다. 상기 연결 플레이트(133)에는 충격 완화부(134)가 형성된다. 상기 충격 완화부(134)는 상기 배터리 셀(110)에 가해지는 충격을 완화시켜, 상기 배터리 셀(110)을 보호하는 역할을 한다.
일반적으로, 배터리 팩을 완성하고 나서, 배터리 팩의 성능을 테스트하기 위해 다양한 종류의 시험을 실행한다. 그 중에서, 낙하 시험 시 배터리 팩을 낙하시키면 배터리 팩의 모서리 부분에 상대적으로 많은 충격이 가해진다. 즉, 상기 배터리 팩을 낙하시키면 보호회로모듈의 양단부에 충격이 가해지며, 이러한 충격은 리드 탭을 통해서 배터리 셀에 전달된다. 이때, 리드 탭과 배터리 셀이 용접된 부분이 찢어짐으로써 전해액이 누출되는 문제가 발생한다. 따라서, 본 발명은 보호회로모듈(120)과 배터리 셀(110)을 연결하는 리드 탭(130)에 충격 완화부(134)를 형성하여 배터리 셀(110)에 가해지는 충격을 완화시킴으로써, 배터리 셀(110)의 변형을 방지하고 배터리 셀(110)을 보호할 수 있게 된다. 이에 따라, 본 발명은 배터리 팩(100)의 신뢰성을 향상시킬 수 있다.
이러한 충격 완화부(134)는, 도 4a 및 도 4b에 도시된 바와 같이, 상기 연결 플레이트(133)에 형성된 관통홀(134a)을 포함한다. 상기 관통홀(134a)은 연결 플레이트(133)의 양측면에 형성된다. 즉, 상기 관통홀(134a)은 상기 연결 플레이트(133)에서 제 1 플레이트(131) 및 제 2 플레이트(132)가 연결되지 않는 측면에 형성된다. 또한, 상기 관통홀(134a)은 연결 플레이트(133)를 관통하며, 연결 플레이트(133)의 측면에서 중심을 향하도록 형성된다. 여기서, 상기 연결 플레이트(133)의 양측면에 형성된 관통홀(134a)은 서로 접촉하지 않는다. 따라서, 상기 충격 완화부(134)는 상기 연결 플레이트(133)에서 상대적으로 좁은 면적을 갖는다. 여기서, 상기 충격 완화부(134)의 폭(W2)은 상기 연결 플레이트(133)의 전체 폭(W1)의 약 50%로 형성될 수 있다. 만약, 상기 충격 완화부(134)의 폭(W2)이 연결 플레이트(133)의 전체 폭(W1)의 50%보다 작게 형성되면, 상기 보호회로모듈(120)을 지지하기 어렵다. 또한, 상기 충격 완화부(134)의 폭(W2)이 연결 플레이트(133)의 전체 폭(W1)의 50%보다 크게 형성되면, 배터리 셀(110)에 가해지는 충격을 완화시키는 효과를 기대하기 어렵다. 상기 관통홀(134a)은 직사각형 형태로 형성되며, 상기 연결 플레이트(133)의 전체 높이에서 중간부분에 형성될 수 있다. 더불어, 상기 관통홀(134a)은 연결 플레이트(133)의 측면을 니퍼나 기계 등으로 가공하여 형성할 수 있으나, 본 발명에서 이를 한정하는 것은 아니다. 이와 같이, 본 발명은 상기 리드 탭(130)에 관통홀(134a)을 갖는 충격 완화부(134)를 형성함으로써, 배터리 팩(100)의 낙하 시 배터리 셀(110)에 가해지는 충격을 완화시킬 수 있다. 따라서, 본 발명은 배터리 셀(110)의 변형을 방지하고 배터리 셀(110)을 보호함으로써, 배터리 팩(100)의 신뢰성을 향상시킬 수 있다.
상기 상부 커버(140)는 배터리 셀(110)의 상부에 결합되며, 내부 공간에 보호회로모듈(120)을 수용한다. 상부 커버(140)는 메인 플레이트(141)와, 메인 플레이트(141)로부터 보호회로모듈(120) 방향으로 연장된 측벽(142)을 포함하여 이루어질 수 있다.
메인 플레이트(141)는 배터리 셀(110)의 캡 플레이트(116)와 대략 유사한 형상으로 형성될 수 있다. 메인 플레이트(141)의 내면은 보호회로기판(121)의 상면(121a)과 마주 접한다. 메인 플레이트(141)는 보호회로모듈(120)의 외부 단자(124)와 대응하는 영역에 형성된 관통홀(143)을 포함한다. 이러한 관통홀(143)은 외부 단자(124)를 외부로 노출시켜, 배터리 팩(100)과 외부 기기가 전기적으로 연결될 수 있도록 한다.
측벽(142)은 메인 플레이트(141)로부터 하부로 연장되어 형성된다. 즉, 상기 측벽(142)은 상기 보호회로모듈(120) 방향으로 연장되며, 상기 캡 플레이트(116)의 상부에 결합된다.
도 5a는 본 발명의 다른 실시예에 따른 리드 탭을 도시한 사시도이고, 도 5b는 본 발명의 다른 실시예에 따른 리드 탭을 도시한 측면도이다. 도 5a 및 도 5b에 도시된 리드 탭(230)은 도 4a 및 도 4b에 도시된 리드 탭(130)과 유사하다. 따라서, 이하에서는 차이점에 대해서만 설명하기로 한다.
도 5a 및 도 5b를 참조하면, 리드 탭(230)은 보호회로모듈(120)에 결합되는 제 1 플레이트(131)와, 배터리 셀(110)에 결합되는 제 2 플레이트(132) 및 상기 제 1 플레이트(131)와 상기 제 2 플레이트(132)를 연결하는 연결 플레이트(133)를 포함한다. 또한, 상기 리드 탭(230)은 충격 완화부(234)를 더 포함한다.
상기 충격 완화부(234)는 상기 연결 플레이트(133)에 형성된 관통홀(234a)을 포함한다. 상기 관통홀(234a)은 연결 플레이트(133)의 양측면에 형성된다. 즉, 상기 관통홀(234a)은 상기 연결 플레이트(133)에서 제 1 플레이트(131) 및 제 2 플레이트(132)가 연결되지 않는 측면에 형성된다. 또한, 상기 관통홀(234a)은 연결 플레이트(133)를 관통하며, 연결 플레이트(133)의 측면에서 중심을 향하도록 형성된다. 여기서, 상기 연결 플레이트(133)의 양측면에 형성된 관통홀(234a)은 서로 접촉하지 않는다. 따라서, 상기 충격 완화부(234)는 상기 연결 플레이트(133)에서 상대적으로 좁은 면적을 갖는다. 여기서, 상기 충격 완화부(234)의 폭은 상기 연결 플레이트(133)의 전체 폭의 약 50%로 형성될 수 있다. 상기 관통홀(234a)은 삼각형 형태로 형성되며, 상기 연결 플레이트(133)의 전체 높이에서 중간부분에 형성될 수 있다. 더불어, 상기 관통홀(234a)은 타원형, 반원형 등으로 형성될 수 있으나, 본 발명에서 이를 한정하는 것은 아니다. 상기 관통홀(234a)은 상기 연결 플레이트(133)의 면적을 좁게 만들 수 있는 형태라면 어떠한 형태도 가능하다.
도 6은 본 발명의 또 다른 실시예에 따른 리드 플레이트를 통해서 배터리 셀과 보호회로모듈이 결합된 상태를 도시한 단면도이다. 도 7a는 본 발명의 또 다른 실시예에 따른 리드 플레이트를 도시한 사시도이고, 도 7b는 도 6에 도시된 A부분의 확대도이다. 도 6 내지 도 7b에 도시된 리드 탭(330)은 도 4a 및 도 4b에 도시된 리드 탭(130)과 유사하다. 따라서, 이하에서는 차이점에 대해서만 설명하기로 한다.
도 6 내지 도 7b를 참조하면, 리드 탭(330)은 보호회로모듈(120)에 결합되는 제 1 플레이트(131)와, 배터리 셀(110)에 결합되는 제 2 플레이트(132) 및 상기 제 1 플레이트(131)와 상기 제 2 플레이트(132)를 연결하는 연결 플레이트(133)를 포함한다. 또한, 상기 리드 탭(330)은 충격 완화부(334)를 더 포함한다.
상기 충격 완화부(334)는 상기 연결 플레이트(133)에 형성된 완화홈(334a)을 포함한다. 상기 완화홈(334a)은 상기 연결 플레이트(133)의 내측면에 형성된다. 즉, 상기 완화홈(334a)은 상기 연결 플레이트(133)에서 배터리 셀(110)의 전극 단자(114)를 향하는 면에 형성된다. 또한, 상기 완화홈(334a)은 상기 연결 플레이트(133)의 전체 높이에서 중간 부분을 가로 지르는 형태로 형성된다. 상기 완화홈(334a)의 깊이(T2)는 상기 연결 플레이트(133)의 두께(T1)의 약 50% 로 형성된다. 따라서, 상기 충격 완화부(334)는 상기 연결 플레이트(133)에서 상대적으로 두께가 얇게 형성된다. 만약, 상기 충격 완화부(334)의 두께(T2)가 연결 플레이트(133)의 전체 두께(T1)의 50%보다 작게 형성되면, 상기 보호회로모듈(120)을 지지하기 어렵다. 또한, 상기 충격 완화부(334)의 두께(T2)가 연결 플레이트(133)의 전체 두께(T1)의 50%보다 크게 형성되면, 배터리 셀(110)에 가해지는 충격을 완화시키는 효과를 기대하기 어렵다.
도 8은 본 발명의 또 다른 실시예에 따른 리드 플레이트를 통해서 배터리 셀과 보호회로모듈이 결합된 상태를 도시한 단면도이다. 도 9는 본 발명의 또 다른 실시예에 따른 리드 플레이트를 도시한 사시도이다.
도 8 및 도 9를 참조하면, 리드 탭(430)은 보호회로모듈(120)에 결합되는 제 1 플레이트(431)와, 배터리 셀(110)에 결합되는 제 2 플레이트(432) 및 상기 제 1 플레이트(431)와 상기 제 2 플레이트(432)를 연결하는 연결 플레이트(433)를 포함한다.
상기 제 1 플레이트(431)는 보호회로기판(121)의 하면(121b)에 결합되며, 상기 보호회로기판(121)과 평행하게 형성된다. 구체적으로, 상기 제 1 플레이트(431)는 상기 보호회로기판(121)의 하면(121b)에 솔더링을 통해서 결합될 수 있다. 또한, 상기 제 1 플레이트(431)는 보호회로기판(121)의 일측 단부에 결합된다.
상기 제 2 플레이트(432)는 캡 플레이트(116)의 상면에 결합되며, 상기 캡 플레이트(116)와 평행하게 형성된다. 또한, 상기 제 2 플레이트(432)는 상기 제 1 플레이트(431)와 이격되며, 상기 제 1 플레이트(431)와 평행하게 형성된다. 구체적으로 상기 제 2 플레이트(432)는 상기 캡 플레이트(116)의 상면에 저항 용접, 레이저 용접, 초음파 용접 등을 통해서 결합될 수 있다. 상기 제 2 플레이트(432)는 상기 보호회로기판(121)으로부터 돌출되게 형성된다.
상기 연결 플레이트(433)는 상기 제 1 플레이트(431)와 상기 제 2 플레이트(432)를 연결한다. 상기 연결 플레이트(433)는 상기 제 1 플레이트(431) 및 제 2 플레이트(432)에 대하여 경사지게 형성된다. 상기 연결 플레이트(433)는 상기 보호회로기판(121)의 단부에서 보호회로기판(121)의 중심을 향하도록 경사지게 형성된다. 즉, 상기 연결 플레이트(433)에서 상기 제 1 플레이트(431)와 접촉하는 부분은 보호회로기판(121)의 단부에 위치하고, 상기 연결 플레이트(433)에서 제 2 플레이트(432)와 접촉하는 부분은 상기 보호회로기판(121)의 단부보다 중심에 가깝게 위치한다. 따라서, 상기 리드 탭(430)은 대략 ‘Z’자 형태로 형성된다. 상기 연결 플레이트(433)는 상기 보호회호기판(121)에 대해 경사지게 형성되어, 상기 배터리 셀(110)에 가해지는 충격을 완화시키는 역할을 한다. 즉, 상기 연결 플레이트(433)는 충격 완화부와 동일한 역할을 하므로, 상기 연결 플레이트(433) 자체가 충격 완화부로 불릴 수 있다.
이상에서 설명한 것은 본 발명에 의한 배터리 팩을 실시하기 위한 하나의 실시예에 불과한 것으로서, 본 발명은 상기한 실시예에 한정되지 않고, 이하의 특허청구범위에서 청구하는 바와 같이 본 발명의 요지를 벗어남이 없이 당해 발명이 속하는 분야에서 통상의 지식을 가진 자라면 누구든지 다양한 변경 실시가 가능한 범위까지 본 발명의 기술적 정신이 있다고 할 것이다.
Claims (10)
- 배터리 셀;상기 배터리 셀의 상부에 안착된 보호회로모듈; 및상기 배터리 셀과 상기 보호회로모듈을 전기적으로 연결하며, 상기 보호회로모듈에 결합된 제 1 리드 플레이트와, 상기 배터리 셀에 결합된 제 2 리드 플레이트 및 상기 제 1 리드 플레이트와 제 2 리드 플레이트를 연결하는 연결 플레이트를 갖는 리드 탭을 포함하고,상기 연결 플레이트에는 상기 배터리 셀에 가해지는 충격을 완화시킬 수 있는 충격 완화부가 형성된 것을 특징으로 하는 배터리 팩.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 충격 완화부는 상기 연결 플레이트를 관통하는 완화홀을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 배터리 팩.
- 제 2 항에 있어서,상기 완화홀은 상기 연결 플레이트에서 상기 제 1 리드 플레이트 및 제 2 리드 플레이트가 연결되지 않은 양측에 형성된 것을 특징으로 하는 배터리 팩.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 충격 완화부는 상기 연결 플레이트에서 상대적으로 면적이 작게 형성된 부분인 것을 특징으로 하는 배터리 팩.
- 제 4 항에 있어서,상기 충격 완화부의 폭은 상기 연결 플레이트의 폭의 50%로 형성된 것을 특징으로 하는 배터리 팩.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 충격 완화부는 상기 연결 플레이트에 형성된 완화홈을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 배터리 팩.
- 제 6 항에 있어서,상기 완화홈은 상기 연결 플레이트의 내측면에 형성된 것을 특징으로 하는 배터리 팩.
- 제 6 항에 있어서,상기 충격 완화부의 두께는 상기 연결 플레이트의 두께의 50%로 형성된 것을 특징으로 하는 배터리 팩.
- 배터리 셀;상기 배터리 셀의 상부에 안착된 보호회로모듈; 및상기 배터리 셀과 상기 보호회로모듈을 전기적으로 연결하며, 상기 보호회로모듈에 결합된 제 1 리드 플레이트와, 상기 배터리 셀에 결합된 제 2 리드 플레이트 및 상기 제 1 리드 플레이트와 제 2 리드 플레이트를 연결하는 연결 플레이트를 갖는 리드 탭을 포함하고,상기 연결 플레이트는 상기 배터리 셀에 가해지는 충격을 완화시킬 수 있도록 상기 제 1 리드 플레이트 및 제 2 리드 플레이트에 대해서 경사지게 형성된 것을 특징으로 하는 배터리 팩.
- 제 9 항에 있어서,상기 연결 플레이트에서 상기 제 1 리드 플레이트가 연결된 부분은 상기 보호회로모듈의 단부에 위치하고, 상기 연결 플레이트에서 상기 제 2 리드 플레이트가 연결된 부분은 상기 제 1 리드 플레이트가 연결된 부분보다 상기 보호회로모듈의 중심에 가깝게 위치하는 것을 특징으로 하는 배터리 팩.
