Abstract
An automated tape transfer apparatus (1) including a tape feed mechanism (3) feeding a continuous length of an adhesive tape (2) through the automated tape transfer apparatus (1) and a tape applicator (7) applying the adhesive tape (2) to a cutting face (401) of a sample block (20, 402), wherein a section (600) of the sample block (20, 402) is adhered to the adhesive tape (2) after cutting of the section (600) from the sample block (20, 402). A slide station (5) transfers the cut section (600) from the adhesive tape (2) to a slide (115, 515).
