Definitions
- the present application relates to the field of video technologies, and in particular, to a method and an apparatus for downloading a video file and providing a video file.
- the playback of network video is a very important and core function of mobile terminals and TVs. Because the speed of the network is not very uniform, some access speeds are fast and some are slow. Moreover, the speed of the network is not too stable. For some access users sharing bandwidth, when the access user is used for a long time, the network speed drops significantly.
- the video website In order to provide users with the best experience, the video website generally prepares a variety of definition sources for each video content, and provides a list for the user to select, according to the resolution from low to high, respectively, is extremely fast, smooth, SD, HD, Ultra Clear, 1080P, 4K, etc.
- the inventors have found that the existing scheme is to select a high-definition video file for playback by default, and the default definition may not be suitable for the actual network speed. If the network speed is slow, it will cause "trying to load" continuously during playback, which seriously affects the user's viewing experience; if the network speed is good, it can actually support higher definition video file playback, but The audience did not enjoy the best viewing experience. Due to the instability of the network speed, the time is fast and slow, and the same resolution will be occasionally stuck, although the user can manually select the low-definition video content according to the prompt of "Network does not give force? Reduce the clarity try". Watching, but will continue to play low-definition video content, and will not automatically switch to the best resolution after the network speed is restored, reducing the user experience of watching network video.

Description

根据所述当前网络速度信息确定的当前网络速度与视频片段的清晰度等级之间的映射关系,确定供客户端下载的对应的清晰度等级的视频片段,其中,一个视频文件包括若干所述视频片段,在媒体服务器端上每一个内容相同的视频片段至少存储有两种不同清晰度等级的视频片段;

步骤101、监控当前网络速度;
步骤102、向媒体服务器发送通知,所述通知携带当前网络速度信息;
步骤201、接收通知,所述通知携带当前网络速度信息;
步骤202、根据所述当前网络速度信息确定的当前网络速度与视频片段的清晰度等级之间的映射关系,确定供客户端下载的对应的清晰度等级的视频片段,其中,一个视频文件包括若干所述视频片段,在媒体服务器端上每一个内容相同的视频片段至少存储有两种不同清晰度等级的视频片段;
步骤301、监控当前缓存区视频片段的缓冲速度;
步骤302、若当前缓存区视频片段的缓冲速度小于设定阈值或大于设定阈值,向媒体服务器发送通知,该通知携带当前缓存区视频片段的缓冲速度信息;
步骤303、媒体服务器接收通知;
步骤304、根据通知中的当前缓存区视频片段的缓冲速度信息确定的当前缓存区视频片段的缓冲速度与视频片段的清晰度等级之间的映射关系,确定供客户端下载的对应的清晰度等级的视频片段;
步骤305、媒体服务器向客户端提供对应的清晰度等级的视频片段;
步骤306、客户端下载媒体服务器提供的视频片段到缓存区;
