The method comprises: the first radio frequency tag and the control module connecting to the wireless network; the radio frequency reading terminal calculating, on the basis of a signal receiving delay of the first radio frequency tag and a signal receiving delay of the control module, a position of the first radio frequency tag; and controlling, on the basis of a relationship between the position of the first radio frequency tag and a position of the control module, a switch of the home appliance. The invention can calculate, using a data transmission delay between the first radio frequency tag and the radio frequency reading terminal, the position of the first radio frequency tag. A user only needs to carry the first radio frequency tag.
