A water purification apparatus allowing rapid replacement of filter cartridges, comprising the filter cartridges and a water purifier body. The filter cartridges comprise multiple filter cartridges used for filtering and purifying water. A cylindrical housing (1) is provided on the exterior of the filter cartridges. A water inlet (10) and a water outlet (11) are provided at either extremity of the housing (1). The housing (1) is constituted by two hollow semi-cylinders and leakproof pads (12) for preventing water leakage are provided on the inner walls of the semi-cylinders. Mount grooves (120) fitting the contour of the filter cartridges are provided on the leakproof pads (12). The housing (1) also comprises flanges (13) provided on the semi-cylinders and for use in locking tight the housing (1) with screws.
