Definitions
- the object of the invention is directed to electronic means of payment that allow transactions between two different financial entities to be carried out.
- the credit card is a material identification instrument, which can be a plastic card with a magnetic stripe, a microchip and an embossed number. It is issued by a bank or financial entity that authorizes the person in whose favor it is issued, to use it as a means of payment in the businesses attached to the system, by signing and displaying the card. It is another form of financing, therefore, the user assumes the obligation to return the amount provided and to pay interest, bank fees and expenses.
- Credit cards can also be used at ATMs or at a bank to use a cash advance, although unlike debit cards, an interest is charged on the provision, commission and, in some countries, a tax Because it is a loan.
- a credit card payment is a payment with M1 money, (credit money) which, like any monetary aggregate other than M0, is not created by central banks but by private banks or credit-giving stores. Therefore, making a credit card payment depends on the creditworthiness of the card issuer. That credit money is NOT from the person who owns the card, you have to pay it.
- the collector When paying by card at the store, the collector usually asks for an identification (personal identification, driving license, etc.) and requires the signature of the promissory note or ticket to prove that he owns the card. There are some exceptions where it is not requested to sign the receipt, this system is called “authorized without signature" and is often used in shops with large crowds, such as cinemas, fast food restaurants and other similar places. In some countries, the entry of a PIN is requested to authorize purchases in person or the contactless technology system is used by bringing the card closer to the point of sale terminal for identification and depending on the amount or not to enter the PIN.

- a credit card is a card that allows you to have a credit account, provided by the issuing entity. That means that if you are a cardholder of these characteristics you can make payments or get money, up to a certain limit, without having to have funds in your bank account at that time. That is the main difference with debit cards. In return, you have to return the money you have used, in the expected deadlines. You should keep in mind that not all credit cards are issued by a credit institution or payment entity. Many banks offer it without having a current account open in them by turning the receipts corresponding to the current account and entity indicated. In the case of those issued by financial credit institutions or payment institutions, it will always be so, since they cannot open current accounts to the public. The characteristics of the credit cards and their ease of use advise calling attention to the fact that using a credit card has the same consequences as having any credit or financing modality.
- Credit limit and exceeded entities usually set a maximum credit limit for each category of card ("normal”, “silver”, “gold”, ..., according to the most common denominations). That limit can be modified. The entities can adjust it, taking into account their risk policy and the personal and economic solvency characteristics of each client, notifying it. You can also request to change your credit limit. If you want to download it, the entity will not hit you. If you want to upload it, you will need your authorization.
- the credit limit means that the entity will not pay payments above the set amount. However, I could accept that you exceed the limit. In that case, the so-called or exceeded account arise, which you must return along with the interest and fees that must be provided in the card contract.
- a debit card is an 8.5 ⁇ 5.3 cm plastic bank card with a magnetic stripe on the back (and an electronic chip is currently also included) that stores information about access data, name and account number of the holder, used to carry out with it active financial operations (increase the balance), liabilities (decrease the balance) or neutral (do not increase or decrease the available balance).
- the money that is used is the one that is taken to debit of which the holder It has in your bank account and not the one that the bank lends you as it happens with credit cards.
- the debit card is a card used to use the funds deposited in the checking or other account to which it is associated. Therefore, if you are the holder of a debit card, you must also be the holder of the account although the holder of the same can also request another card for a beneficiary against your associated account.
- debit cards could only be used to withdraw money at offices and ATMs, as well as to check balances and account movements. At present, they can also be used to make payments in shops. In both cases (withdrawal of money or payment in commercial establishments), the operation is instantly registered in your account. That is the main difference with credit cards.
- purse cards which are called prepaid cards and allow them to make payments, usually small amounts, or get money up to the amount that the holder has delivered previously to the banking entity or electronic money entity that issues it, by cash deposit or by debiting your account. Once the amount is exhausted, they can be recharged by a new payment from the owner.
- the amount that can be stored on these cards is usually small and is an electronic substitute for coins and banknotes
- Commercial cards are those credit cards issued by commercial establishments (therefore not by a banking entity), such as large supermarkets, chain stores, etc., and which are used exclusively to make purchases of items in the establishments that have issued them and up to the agreed limit.
- a banking entity such as large supermarkets, chain stores, etc.
- an important part of the large shopping centers work, together with a credit institution, this entity being the issuer of the card and not the shopping center.
- Affinity or loyalty cards can be issued by commercial or service establishments (eg airlines) and with them points are accumulated that are used to request discounts on the purchase of the items or payment of the establishment's services transmitter.
- "Affinity" are also credit cards issued by banks, under denominations that are non-governmental organizations, charities, sports clubs, etc. whose use results in the issuing entity delivering to those associations or organizations a part of the amount of the transaction.
- the object of the invention allows to obtain a solution to the problems set forth above in such a way that a series of instructions are implemented in a medium carrying digital information of the card such as the magnetic strip, chip, or the like of the card, preferably deposit card, of a first financial entity, which contains the entry orders programmed in that first entity and to contact the accounts of both the first entity, where the money will be deposited electronic, as of a second financial institution where it comes from.
- a first financial entity which contains the entry orders programmed in that first entity and to contact the accounts of both the first entity, where the money will be deposited electronic, as of a second financial institution where it comes from.
- the electronic income allows any amount provided that it comes from another Financial Entity not being obliged to be through transfer, being able to be made via electronic refund with account deposit or as a debit payment order Direct Core SEPA or ETF type at the choice of the issuer.
- the issuing financial institution of the deposit card for the same deposit functionality in the account of the client without cash from another financial entity, could restrict or add data on the deposit card related to the content of the information regarding the second financial entity , or partially limit its use or transactional method, without thereby distorting the essence of the invention that is recommended.
- the account of the first Issuing entity is accessed only to enter electronic money through the programming of the magnetic strip or similar technology, this being its essential function and which does not limit its uniqueness.
- a financial card is described in this document that has data carriers that comprise one or more elements that respectively contain data referring to said entities.
- software introduced in a card issued by the entity would be encoded in its magnetic stripe, chip, etc., which would allow its inverse operability between the two financial entities (card issuer and fund facilitating entity).
- electronic The card includes orders and electronic data processing that would give the instructions and / or orders through the cashier of the card issuer allowing the connection with the financial entity to allow the refund transfer or transfer of electronic money to the financial entity station They would be reciprocal operations although inverse to the usual operation between the two financial entities, that of the issuer of the card and owner of the ATM or network of ATMs and the facilitator of electronic funds.
