Abstract

The invention relates to a face mask for sport diving, which can be used both for free diving, at a shallow depth, and scuba diving in deep water. The face mask contains a structure including, in the front part thereof, a lens and an opening that functions as an inlet for a regulator or for a breathing tube, depending on the type of diving practised by the user. The mask contains an anti-condensation separator inside, which integrates a non-return means configured for preventing the entrance of water, as well as an ear compensation system formed by pressure means acting on the nose of the user. The structure is provided with at least one coupling that permits the positioning of a sports camera, flashlight or other external element. The invention is intended for the industrial sector dedicated to the manufacturing of sports equipment, in particular the diving sector.

Description

FACIAL MASK FOR SPORTS DIVING

Object of the invention The object of the present utility model is a mask for sport diving, whose main characteristic lies in the possibility of its use, both in deep dives (with the installation of the air regulator) and in short dives depth, together with the presence of a breathing tube.

Background of the invention

At present, the practice of underwater sports can be divided into two great modes of practice, free diving or autonomous diving.

Free diving or "snorkeling" consists essentially of making dives while holding your breath after deep surface inspiration. It can be practiced without any special equipment, but the current recreational configuration consists of an appropriate mask, fins, breathing tube or snorkel, ballast, and if necessary, a suit of heat insulating material. It is the simplest and oldest form of diving used by man, and can be used as a means of collecting various food or other species.

In autonomous diving, the diver uses a bottle with compressed air that allows him to breathe the stored air, giving him considerable autonomy. In addition to the basic equipment and the bottle itself, a harness, a buoyancy mechanism is used - the integrated harness and buoyancy system are called hydrostatic vest, buoyancy vest (also called stabilizer vest), a regulator (valve system , tubes and nozzles that allow breathing of the air in the bottle), and a ballast system. An example of this is the Spanish patent ES 2 552 558 which describes a diving mask of a type comprising at least one lens, a mask made of a soft material and elastically yielding, provided with at least one front opening for positioning of said at least one lens and a profiled rear element, to rest on the user's face, and a rigid frame comprising a first frame element and a second frame element prior to the first frame element, fixed to each other such as to ensure a tight seal between said mask and said at least one lens, wherein said at least one front opening of the mask shows, along a contour edge thereof, a hollow positioning flange, for at least said first frame element, said hollow flange extending from the inner side and at least partially subsequently to said at least one front opening of the mask, characterized in that said hollow flange has and also a cross section substantially in an open polygonal spiral shape.

Description of the invention

The technical problem that solves the present invention is to combine in the same facial mask, the possibility of using the different accessory elements (tube and regulator) used for different sports diving practices. For this, the face mask for sport diving, object of the present utility model, comprises a frame or chassis that integrates a lens on its front part and where on its rear part incorporates adjustment means to facilitate the adjustment of the mask to the face of the user, and that is characterized in that in the chassis (located close to the lens) a separator is placed, which serves as an anti-fogging means, and that allows the user's vision to be enabled at all times, regardless of the particular characteristics of the environment, and in said separator an anti-return means that prevents the entry of water is integrated; and where the chassis incorporates a hole that serves as a means of entry of the regulator and / or breathing tube.

Thanks to its design, the mask here recommended, will become an easy-to-use tool in the field of underwater sports, since with only one piece you can practice both tube diving or snorkeling and autonomous diving with bottle

This will cause that the economic expense that the user who wants to enjoy both modalities has to bear is much lower (for now, the user, will no longer have to buy two differentiating elements that perform the same function, so that the economic expense will already be evident).

In addition, the implementation of the mask will be made in economic materials but resistant to the characteristics and technical specifications that the practice of diving requires, trying to save the maximum cost and subsequent sale of the product obtained, to delve into the economic savings that the product will provide in the user. As a consequence, the mask presented here is prepared and designed so that it is the mask that adapts to the elements available to the user and not vice versa, that is, that any type of regulator or tube can be easily inserted in the mask so that the user who uses this mask has to look for certain elements that can be attached to it.

So in the long term, the use of the facial mask described here, will cause a great economic saving in the user, since it will allow the user to decide the elements that he wants to insert in the mask, according to his economic capacity in each moment.

In addition, it is designed in such a way that it can adapt to the different physiognomies and face sizes of potential users, increasing its versatility.

Finally, in order to provide the maximum possible utility to the owner and / or user of the mask described here, it can be disassembled, repaired or replace parts easily, avoiding that if you need it you have to buy another mask or resort to specialized operators to its repair

Preferred Embodiment of the Invention

A preferred embodiment of the invention is shown in the attached figures. More specifically, the face mask for sport diving object of the present report, which is characterized in that it comprises a frame or chassis (1) that integrates a lens (2) in its front part and where in its rear part it incorporates adjustment means ( 3) to facilitate the adjustment of the mask to the face of the user, and that in a preferred embodiment, it will allow to fasten the user's head in at least three points, providing optimum support.

In the chassis (1) next to the lens (2) a separator (4) is placed, which serves as an anti-fogging means, and which allows the user's vision to be enabled at all times, regardless of the particular characteristics of the environment.

Said separator (4) integrates an anti-return means (5) that prevents water from entering the user's face, and that can disturb and / or hinder the practice of diving. A hole (6) is incorporated in the lower part of the chassis (1) that serves as the regulator inlet (10) and / or breathing tube (1 1). Said hole (6) incorporates gaskets or rubbers that once the regulator (10) or tube (11) has been expanded, exerting a pressure that prevents water from entering said hole (6) and therefore the mask.

The union of the regulator (10) and / or the tube (1 1) with the chassis (1) will be reinforced by means of joining clips, flanges or similar, that allow the integration of said elements in the chassis itself (1) , reducing the resistance that these elements can offer in water.

The chassis (1) incorporates at least one coupling that allows the placement of a sports camera, a flashlight, etc. which allows the user to have their hands free at all times for diving. In a preferred embodiment, the chassis (1) will incorporate two side couplings (7) and a central coupling (8) located above the lens (2).

The chassis (1) incorporates an ear compensation system (9), formed by means of pressure that act on the user's nose, which will release the pressure that the ears withstand during immersion and during diving.

The chassis (1) will incorporate a pre-immersion system, composed of a screw or similar, that enables two small joints that allow the opening of a small hole located in the chassis (1), so that the entry of air inside it before immersion, and thus, do not waste air from the bottle connected to the regulator (10).

The chassis (1), in a particular embodiment, will incorporate a communications medium, which makes it possible to hear how to speak in the water.

In a practical embodiment, the chassis (1) incorporates two breathing tubes (11) integrated in the contour thereof, fully fused in the mask, so that they enable a safe breathing medium during use, as shown in figure 6. In a practical embodiment, the chassis (1) incorporates in its rear part a hood (12) which allows the entire user's head to be covered to the shoulders, as shown in Figure 7. Claims

1. - Facial mask for sports diving of the type comprising a frame or chassis (1) that integrates a lens (2) in its front part and where in its rear part incorporates adjustment means (3) configured for adjustment from the mask to the face of the user, and which is characterized in that in said chassis (1), next to the lens (2) an anti-fog separator (4) is placed, and in said separator (4) a anti-return means (5) configured to prevent water ingress; and where the chassis (1) incorporates a hole (6) that serves as a means of entry to a regulator (10) or a breathing tube (1 1) or both.
