Abstract
The present invention relates to a system for pricing subscriptions in same or different location about resource usages in different type such as energy, water, natural gas over a single account and quote as offline. The inventive system (1) comprises subscriber meter (2), pricing connection unit (3), record database (31), record collection and pricing unit (4), subscriber information database (5).
Description
A SYSTEM FOR PRICING USAGES OF DIFFERENT TYPE OF SUBSCRIPTIONS BY A COMMON QUOTA AS OFFLINE
Technical Field
The present invention relates to a system for pricing subscriptions in same or different location about resource usages in different type such as energy, water, natural gas over a single account and quote as offline.
Background of the Invention
Today, many people have different type of subscriptions for many different resource usages such as natural gas, water, electricity. Usages related to these subscriptions are measured by means of meters and readings of information on these meters are carried out periodically. In addition to reading meter periodically, it is also ensured in some solutions that usages are priced by making loading to meters by means of prepaid cards or meters are measured remotely by machine- to-machine (M2M) communication technologies.
In the state of the art, people who own multiple subscriptions have to deal with pricings and bills one by one for each type of subscription and each resource usage need to be followed up separately no matter how does the measurement of meters is made for pricing resource usages. When the said multiple subscriptions are distribute in more than one locations (for example, such as home and business subscriptions, home and summer-house subscriptions), follow up of these pricings become more complex. Pricing subscriptions related to different type of resource usages in same or different locations over a single account and quote cannot be provided effectively today.
When this problem and deficiency experienced in solutions being used today in order to price usages of different type of subscriptions are considered, it is seen that a system which will enable pricings related to usage to be made over a single account and quote as offline is needed.
The United States patent document no. US2004243524, an application in the state of the art, discloses a system for presenting consumption amount in meters and pricing concerning this consumption amount to a subscriber almost instantly. In the said system, the consumption amount read by automatic meter reader is sent to a web server regularly.
The United States patent document no. US2002018545, another application in the state of the art, discloses a system presenting meter information of electricity, water, natural gas to a subscriber instantly. Within this system, a subscriber computer can connect electricity, water, natural gas meters over automatic meter reading module.
The Korean patent document no. KR20140116047, another application in the state of the art, discloses a system providing instant query opportunity for a subscriber in electric billing transaction. There are power measuring unit, communication unit and calculation unit within the said system.
The Turkish utility model document no. TR201305135, another application in the state of the art, discloses s system for carrying out reading in electricity, water and natural gas meters remotely. Within the said system, wired/wireless reading can be carried out by being integrated to electricity, water and natural gas meters.
Summary of the Invention
An objective of the present invention is to realize a system which enables to price usages of different types of subscriptions such as energy, water, natural gas as offline. Another objective of the present invention is to realize a system which enables to price different types of subscriptions in same or different location over a single account and quote.
Detailed Description of the Invention
"A System for Pricing Usages of Different Type of Subscriptions by a Common Quota as Offline" realized to fulfill the objective of the present invention is shown in the figure attached, in which: Figure 1 is a schematic view of the inventive system.
The components illustrated in the figure are individually numbered, where the numbers refer to the following: 1. System
2. Subscriber meter
3. Pricing connection unit
31. Record database
4. Record collection and pricing unit
5. Subscriber information database
The inventive system (1) for pricing resource usages of different type of subscriptions by a common quota as offline comprises:
at least one subscriber meter (2) which measures usage of a resource such as water, electricity, natural gas instantly within the scope of subscription comprising usage of the related resource;
at least one pricing connection unit (3) which essentially receives the measurement data measured and transmitted by the subscriber meter (2), receives the measurement data coming from multiple subscriber meters (2) and then converts them into a common pricing unit, and creates records related to the usage;
at least one record database (31) which is included within the pricing connection unit (3) and stores the records created by the pricing connection unit (3);
at least one record collection and pricing unit (4) which essentially collects the records created by the pricing connection unit (3) and stored in the record database (31) and puts them into process by the data exchange that is carries out with the pricing connection unit (3), organizes the subscriber account information according to these records by considering other subscriber information as well, thus prices usages included in the records;
at least one subscriber information database (5) keeps subscriber information on the basis of subscriber, information about subscription transactions, information about quota amount of subscribers and types of resources included to the system (1) and account information about subscribers' usages.
The subscriber meter (2) is a unit of smart meter type which measures usage of a source such as water, electricity, natural gas and usage of the related resource within a subscription and sends data about this measurement to the pricing connection unit (3).
The pricing connection unit (3) is a unit which essentially receives the measurement data measured and transmitted by the subscriber meter (2) to itself, receives the measurement data coming from multiple subscriber meters (2) -that performs measurements of usages belonging to different type of resources- and
then converts them into a common pricing unit, and creates records related to the usage.
In one preferred embodiment of the invention, the pricing connection unit (3) is a unit which creates record also with original resource type and usage amount and enables to store it in the record database (31), for the measurement data converted into the common pricing unit.
In one embodiment of the invention, the pricing connection unit (3) transmits the records included in the record database (31) to the record collection and pricing unit (4) over a file transfer protocol, when it receives a record collection request from the record collection and pricing unit (4).
The pricing connection unit (3) is a unit which can carry out data transmission to the record collection and pricing unit (4) with reference to the request of the record collection and pricing unit (4) by using the data service provided by a communication network.
The record database (31) is a unit which is included within the pricing connection unit (3) and stores the records created by the pricing connection unit (3).
The record collection and pricing unit (4) is a unit which essentially collects the records created by the pricing connection unit (3) and stored in the record database (31) and puts them into process by the data exchange that is carries out with the pricing connection unit (3), organizes the subscriber account information according to these records by considering other subscriber information as well, thus prices usages included in the records.
The subscriber information database (5) is a database which keeps subscriber information on the basis of subscriber, information about subscription transactions, information about quota amount of subscribers and types of
resources included to the system (1) and account information about subscribers' usages. In one embodiment of the invention, information of package and special offers owned by a subscriber are kept in this database as well. The subscriber account information included in the subscriber information database (5) and organized with respect to usages of subscribers are managed by the record collection and pricing unit (4). The record collection and pricing unit (4) determines the subscriber information included in the subscriber information database (5) and what kind of package does the subscriber has, how much quote does such package should identify to the account of the subscriber. The record collection and pricing unit (4), after this determination, collects and processes the records -which are created by the pricing connection unit (3) with the measurement data received from the subscriber meters (2) and stored in the record database (31)- and deducts the amounts -which are required to be deducted from the quote related to these usages- from the subscriber's account and thus it prices the usages belonging to different type of subscriptions over a single subscriber account and quote as offline.
The record collection and pricing unit (4), while pricing a subscriber account included in the subscriber information database (5), carries out a pricing by also considering the information such as special offer, etc. kept in the subscriber information database (5) and identified for the subscriber.
By means of the fact that the record collection and pricing unit (4) manages the subscriber account on the basis of subscriber and keeps the information stored in the subscriber information database (5) on the basis of subscriber, different locations of the subscriber in different source types are managed over a single account and quote which is continuously updated by the record collection and pricing unit (4) according to usages of the subscriber.
The record collection and pricing unit (4) is also a unit which is configured such that it will enable a subscriber to check in and query the usage and pricing information as offline. As will be understood by a person skilled in the art; all subscriber information such as package information which is included in the subscriber information database (5) related to the subscriber and will be identified for the subscriber, resource types of the subscriber which will be taken into account, notification preferences of the subscriber, communication information which will be used for informing the subscriber, check in information which will enable the subscriber to reach the record collection and pricing unit (4) for the purpose of taking information are information which can be organized, varied and removed by the subscriber. In one embodiment of the invention, the record collection and pricing unit (4) is a unit which receives the information that are included in the subscriber information database (5) and determine preferences of the subscriber on the subject of being informed in cases such as excess of quote, reaching price limit, extraordinary use or only periodical informing and which informs the user over the communication channels suitable for these communication information by using the communication information determined by the subscriber and again included in the subscriber information database (5), in the event that situations requiring notification occur according to these information. With the inventive system (1), transaction of pricing usages of different types of subscriptions such as energy, water, natural gas is carried out as offline. While the said transaction is being carried out, the measurement data received from the subscriber meter (2) are converted into a common unit by the pricing connection unit (3) and records comprising information about these usages are created. The record collection and pricing unit (4) collects and processes these created records by sending request to the pricing connection unit (3) and it prices the subscriber
by reducing the quote in the subscriber account which is included in the record for the usage included in the record. In one embodiment of the invention, if there is additional quote in the subscriber package which is provided when the quote included in the subscriber account runs out, the record collection and pricing unit (4) determines this status by the information included in the subscriber information database (5) and identifies new quote to the subscriber account included in the subscriber information database (5) as well.
With the inventive system (1), transactions of pricing different types of subscriptions in same or different location over single account and quote is carried out. While the said transaction is being carried out, the measurement data of the subscriber meter (2) are converted into a common unit by the pricing connection unit (3) and the record collection and pricing unit (4) collects the records about the usage and processes them to the subscriber account included in the subscriber information database (5) on the basis of subscriber. Thus, usages measured by all subscriber meters (2) belonging to the subscriber are deducted from amount of a single quote identified to the subscriber account.
Within these basic concepts; it is possible to develop a wide range of embodiments of the inventive system (1), the invention cannot be limited to examples disclosed herein and it is essentially according to claims.
Claims
CLAIMS 1. A system (1) for pricing resource usages of different type of subscriptions by a common quota as offline comprising:
at least one subscriber meter (2) which measures usage of a resource such as water, electricity, natural gas instantly within the scope of subscription comprising usage of the related resource;
at least one pricing connection unit (3);
at least one record database (31) which is included within the pricing connection unit (3) and stores the records created by the pricing connection unit (3);
at least one record collection and pricing unit (4);
at least one subscriber information database (5) keeps subscriber information on the basis of subscriber, information about subscription transactions, information about quota amount of subscribers and types of resources included to the system (1) and account information about subscribers' usages;
characterized by:
at least one pricing connection unit (3) which essentially receives the measurement data measured and transmitted by the subscriber meter (2), receives the measurement data coming from multiple subscriber meters (2) and then converts them into a common pricing unit, and creates records related to the usage;
at least one record collection and pricing unit (4) which essentially collect the records created by the pricing connection unit (3) and stored in the record database (31) and puts them into process by the data exchange that is carries out with the pricing connection unit (3), organizes the subscriber account information according to these records by considering other subscriber information as well, thus prices usages included in the records.
2. A system (1) according to Claim 1, characterized by a subscriber meter of smart meter type (2) which sends data about measurement to the pricing connection unit (3).

A system (1) according to Claim 1, characterized by the pricing connection unit (3) which uses the data service provided by a communication network; when it receives a record collection request from the record collection and pricing unit (4), transmits the records included in the record database (31) to the record collection and pricing unit (4) over a file transfer protocol.
4. A system (1) according to Claim 1, characterized by the record collection and pricing unit (4) manages the subscriber account information included in the subscriber information database (5) and organized with respect to usages of subscribers.

A system (1) according to Claim 4, characterized by the record collection and pricing unit (4) which determines the subscriber information included in the subscriber information database (5) and what kind of package does the subscriber has, how much quote does such package should identify to the account of the subscriber; after this determination, collects and processes the records -that are created by the pricing connection unit (3) with the measurement data received from the subscriber meters (2) and stored in the record database (31)- and deducts the amounts -that are required to be deducted from the quote related to these usages- from the subscriber's account.

A system (1) according to Claim 1, characterized by the record collection and pricing unit (4) which receives the information that are included in the subscriber information database (5) and determine preferences of the subscriber on the subject of being informed in cases such as excess of quote, reaching price limit, extraordinary use or only periodical informing and which
informs the user over the communication channels suitable for these communication information by using the communication information determined by the subscriber and again included in the subscriber information database (5), in the event that situations requiring notification occur according to these information.
