Abstract

A device (100) for mounting a Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) tag on a vehicle comprising an upper bracket (102) and a lower bracket (104) having plurality of grooves (110). The plurality of grooves (110) of the lower bracket (104) are configured to hold the RFID tag (106). The RFID tag (106) is coupled to the lower bracket (104) by engaging means to form a combination. Further, the combination of the RFID tag (106) and the lower bracket (104) is coupled with the vehicle (108) by permanent coupling means. Also, the upper bracket (102) is mounted on the combination of the RFID tag (106) and the lower bracket by the permanent coupling means to form the device (100).

Claims

AMENDED CLAIMS received by the International Bureau on 17 August 2017 (17.08.2017)
1 . A device (100) for mounting a Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) Tag (106) on a vehicle (108), comprising:
an upper bracket (102);
a lower bracket (104) having plurality of grooves (110);
wherein said plurality of grooves (110) of said lower bracket (104) are configured to hold said RFID tag (106) and to couple the lower bracket (104) to the vehicle (108);
wherein said RFID tag (106) is coupled to said lower bracket (104) by engaging means via the plurality of grooves (110) to form a slidable combination, whereby the sliding permits permanent coupling at a point underneath the RFID tag (106);
wherein said combination of said RFID tag (106) and said lower bracket (104) is coupled with said vehicle (108) by permanent coupling means; and wherein said upper bracket (102) is mounted on said combination of said RFID tag (106) and said lower bracket (104) by said permanent coupling means to form said device (100).
2. The device (100) as claimed in claim 1 , wherein said upper bracket
(102) having plurality of connecting means enabling coupling of said upper bracket (102) with said combination of said RFID tag (106) and said lower bracket (104).
3. The device (100) as claimed in claim 1 , wherein said engaging means are threaded screws. 15
4. The device (100) as claimed in claim 1 , wherein said permanent coupling means is a welding process.
5. The device (100) as claimed in claim 1 , wherein said permanent coupling means is a riveting process.
6. The device (100) as claimed in claim 1 , wherein said permanent coupling means is a gluing process.

Statement under Article 19(1) (Rule 46.4)

The International Search Report has cited two documents (JP 2006-146518 A (MITSUBISHI HEAVY IND. LTD.) and KR 10-2010-0042787 A (SAMSUNG ELECTRO-MECHANICS CO., LTD.)) that, in the opinion of the Examiner, have disclosed subject matter that render claims 1-6 lack inventive step. Accordingly, the following amendments have been made to clarify the scope of the claims and therefore differentiate the subject matter from the prior art cited in the International Search Report and Written Opinion of the International Searching Authority.

1. Claim 1 has been amended to clarify the function of the plurality of grooves (110) which is to couple the lower bracket (104) to the vehicle (108) by permanent coupling means via the plurality of grooves (110).

2. Claim 1 also been amended to clarify the function of said plurality of grooves (110) to form a slidable combination between the lower bracket (104) with the RFID tag (106).

The amended claim 1 does not go beyond the disclosure in the international application as filed. The amendments do not have any impact on the drawings.
