Description

Tank’s wheel figurate climbing machine
Technical field: detachable &portable machinery, tank-wheel’s turnig axiom, pedrail drivbed tank
Technical background: utility model patent, patent no.: CN86210653
Invention’s content:
A tank’s wheel figurate climbing machine can help other things very easily climbing the steps up and down. Its structure is similar as tank’s wheel but much smaller &the stuff is also much lighter e.g. plastic, or plastic with some metal frames, or aluminium alloy or the synthetic stuff with the same solidity. lt’s including two parts: outside pedrail and inside wheels. Inside wheels including driving wheels, strutting wheels &leading wheels. In fect in our daily life for a lot of light things tank’s wheels can be lightened, much lightened . We don′t need three types of wheels. Only one row of wheels is enough. Therefore at last this machine can be such a form (like P. 1) . Picture=P. This climbing machine can also be drived only from pedrail, because inside the wheels can provide very limited power. Outside is a pedrail, inside strutting thing is such a form: On the both sides (just at the head and the tail) are two wheels &between this two wheels there is almost a elliptical cylinder but digged out two half elliptical cylinders (just same as the pedrail drived tank-wheel’s strutting thing) . This climbing machine can be whole detachable. When you climb the steps you can fix it on the things, after you have climbed the steps you can take it out. The length &the width of this climbing machine are all changeable, according to different size of things. From this form (just outside pedrail inside wheels) can also develop to a new form: outside no pedrail , only inside the wheels left but the wheels are all cylinders &fixed on a rectangle metal frame (the length &the width of this metal frame are all changeable) . From this form (just outside pedrail inside wheels) can also develop to a new form: outside no pedrail , only inside the wheels left but the wheels can be normal wheels can be also universally turning wheels (e.g. balls. ) or same as the wheels below the luggage bags &fixed on a rectangle metal frame (the length &the width of this metal frame are all changeable) . In the Technical background a utility model patent has provided a climbing machine but its structure has a lot of problems: It’s only suitable for wheelchair &it’s too big, with this structure the wheels must be enough big so that it can very stably climb the steps up &down. Only 3 wheels take tums, so is not practical because very few things are suitable to this form. Tank’s wheel figurate climbing machine devotes itself to be portable &practical &flexibly changeable according to different size of things.
Description of Pictnres: Picture=P. P. lis the structure with pedrail plus one row of the wheels. P. 2 is to describe how to change the the length of the climbing machine. P. 3 is pedrail drived climbing machine &the strutting thing inside. P. 4 is the climbing machine hangs on the bottom of regular figurate things. P. 5 is the connecting part of the climbing machine &with grooves chutes on it &not yet fixed. P. 6 is on the back of the groove there is a chute. P. 7 is the connecting part of the climbing machine &already fixed. P. 8 is cylinder-wheels figurate climbing machine. P. 9 is climbing machine has only one row of wheels. P. 9b is the metal sticks controling the width in the central of wheel. P. 9c is the triangle’s two sides have springs. P. 10 is the side view of the pedraiI. P. 11 is climbing machine used with wheelchair’s big wheel together. P. 11a is the side view of the original wheels on the climbing machine. P. 11b is the planform of the climbing mache after taking out the wheelchair. P. 11c is the side view of one of the arched metal sticks. P. 12 is the climbing machine hangs on the bottom of irregular figurate things. P. 13 is the climbing machine with closely arraying small wheels.
Concrete manifestations:
(1) Tank’s wheel figurate climbing machine connecting with regular figurate things (e.g. luggage bags) :
Its structure is so (like P. 1) , outside is pedrail inside is wheels. It’s very light &portable. When you climb the steps you can fix it onto the things. In general situations you can hide it on the sides of your luggage bags. The  connecting part between the luggage bag &the climbing machine can be 4 metal sticks (like P. 4) . Because the wheels are always turning but the axis never turning, therefore you can fix the metal stick on the axis. The 4 sticks can be hidden on the sides of your luggage bags, because There are grooves on your luggage bag, like P. 5 (on the back of this groove there is a chute, at the head and a tail of this chute there are also corresponding threads, like P. 6) &there are also corresponding knobs, screw. In general situations The 4 sticks can be hidden in the grooves &also fixed from the knobs, screws, when you climb the steps you can draw them out. On the metal stick there is also a chute &on the chute there are also corresponding threads. If you want to hide the stick, you should push it upwards along the chute of itself &the groove &fix it via the knobs, screws. If you want to draw it out, you should push it downwards along the chute of itself &the groove &fix it via the knobs, screws. (like P. 5) The 4 metal sticks can be also all taken out from the groove. The other side of the metal stick you can fix onto the axis also via knobs, screws (like P. 7) . So ifone side of the stick is fixed with the luggage bag &the other side is fixed with the climbing machine, you can climb the steps. The length &the width of this climbing machine are all changeable, according to different size of things. (Like P. 2) the whole strutting frame of this climbing machine can be metal &the metal frame’s size is changeable. On the left and right two sides of the wheels there is a metal stick through all the wheels’s axises. Its structure can be so: two metal sticks they all have a same chute. lf you want to change the length of the climbing machine, you can draw the two sticks along the chute. There are also screws on the axises of the wheels &every wheel’s axis can have a screw. After you finished regulating the length you can fix it via the screws. If you want to change the width of the climbing machine, the machine can be also such a structure: two rows of wheels fixed on a metal frame (like P. 8) . P. 8 is without pedrail just only for seeing clearly the structure of the metal frame. With this structure the width of the climbing machine can be also changed. The structure of the climbing machine can be also one row of wheels (like P. 9) . The wheels must be long cylinders &the contact area with the pedrail is very big, therefore the width of the pedrail doesn’ t need to change, if the width of the wheels is changed, then is ok, so the wheels can’t absolutely fall out from the pedrail. If you want to change the length is easy but if you want to change the width, you can change the width of the wheels. Not only on the two sides of the wheels there are metal sticks but also in the central of the wheels (like P. 9b) . Every wheel’s central has two metal sticks, which you can’ t see from the outside. This two metal sticks have different functions: one has triangle figurate clips, the other has comb figurate fasteners. If you draw the stick in the arrow showing direction, you can draw it till the longest, if you want to draw it in opposite direction, then every triangle is stopped , you can’t move it at all. The triangle’s two sides have springs, if you draw them in the arrow showing direction, then the triangles will be thinner just tightened up, if you draw the triangles in the opposite direction, they will be big enough just right stopped in the comb’s crevices. The triangle figurate clips are just an one-direction dowel (like P. 9c) . If you want to draw the wheels longer is easy, if you wanto to draw it shorter, there is a knob out side, after you have pressed the knob all the triangles will be tightened up &you can draw the wheel to shortest, then you can only draw it longer from the beginning. Every wheel has two plies. The outside ply is just a ring &the inside ply is a cylinder &the outside ply not much bigger than the inside ply, just a thin ring. The metal stick with triangles is fixed in the axis &connected with the inside ply. The metal stick with comb is also fixed in the axis but connected with the outside ply via a small stick (from outside you can see the small stick) . Ifyou want to draw the wheels longer you can also grasp the small stick. The pedrail can be also drawn longer &it dosen’t need to be drawn wider. The pedrail is also two plies, outside is a half ring &inside also empty just right to contain the second ply. The second ply you can draw to the longest till the dowel on it to stop it at last. If the pedrail is a little unsmooth, it doesn’t matter to climb the steps (like P. 10) .
This climbing machine can also be drived only from pedrail. With electricity or not can all operating. Actually if you fixed it onto the things &put them onto the steps, (without any motive power only via the gravity) , the things can fall down the steps very easily &in opposite direction is also same, without big power you can also push them up the steps. The structure of this pedrail drived climbing machine is so: outside is a pedrail, inside strutting thing is such a form: On the both sides (just at the head and the tail) are two wheels &between this two wheels there is  almost a elliptical cylinder but digged out two half elliptical cylinders (just same as the pedrail drived tank-wheel’s strutting thing) , like P. 3. The same structure is also suitable for other things e.g. baby carriage, shopping cart , wheelchair... irregular figurale things. The method to change the length &width is similar as the structure with pedrail &inside wheels. The connecting parts are also 4 metal sticks &they can much better connecting with any part (just any point) of the strutting thing (not only on axis) via the knobs, screws. Such small climbing machine can be also used for wheelchair not replace the wheelchair’s original big wheels but just appear as a component of wheelchair. In general situations just use the wheelchair’s original wheels &this climbing machine can be hidden just over the original wheels or on the back of the wheelchair but when you climb the steps, you can turn it down just below the original wheels. To fix the climbing machine below the original wheels can be such a structure: The edge of the original wheels has a lot of small holes (like P. 11) . Some arched metal sticks are connected with the axis of the wheels &through the small holes on the edge &at last fixed via knobs, screws. P. 11a is the side view of the original wheels on the climbing machine. P. 11b is the planform of the climbing mache after taking out the wheelchair. P. 11c is the side view of one of the arched metal sticks. One thing must be describt: although the volume of the climbing machine is small, if it will be used for wheelchair, the stuff is maybe not plastic plus some metal frames but which can strutting the whole wheelchair.
(2) Tank’s wheel figurate climbing machine connecting with irregular figurate things (e.g. baby carriages... ) :
The structure can be so: A metal board or metal pillar, which can flexibly regulate the angle. &the connecting part in the front going chapter (for the regular figurate things) can be simplified from 4 metal sticks to two metal sticks. The structure of the connecting part at last can be a board plus 2 sticks. One side of the board is connected with the back of the baby carriage... &in general situations they just hang on the back of the carriage. The other side of the board is connected with the axis of the climbing machine’s wheels. When you climb the steps, the board has also some strutting funktion &you can choose to fix it on any wheel’s axis in order to find out the best angle to climb the steps (like P. 12) . If the climbing machine is pedrail drived, you can fix the connecting parts much better, because you can fix them on any point of the strutting thing inside (not only on the axis) . Evidently the length &the width of this climbing machine are all changeable.
(3) A climbing machine with cylinder figurate wheels:
A structure has much less resistance then the structure with pedrail &inside wheels. It is just outside no pedrail, inside the wheels they all cylinders &all the cylinder-wheels fixed on a rectangle metal frame (like P. 8) . The both sides (just head &tail) have no wheels. Only the left &right two sides have wheels. Evidently this rectangle metal frame can be drawn longer &wider. &the structure of this climbing machine can be also simplified to only two rows of wheels. The metal frame’s both sides (just head &tail) having no wheels can be removed. The structure of this climbing machine can be also simplified to only one row of wheels (like P. 9) . Because if only two rows of the wheels, the distance between the two rows just the width of the climbing machine &it’s depended on different size of things. &if only one row of the wheels, the wheels must be very long cylinders &how to change the length of the cylinders has been already describt in the front going chapters.
(4) A climbing machine with closely arraying small wheels:
From the concrete manifestations (3) you can also develop to a new structure, which has much less resistance: just change the cylinders to closely arraying small wheels is ok, the wheels can be normal wheels , can be also universally turning wheels (e.g. balls. ) or same as the wheels below the luggage bags. All the wheels fixed on a rectangle metal frame. The both sides (just head &tail) have no wheels. Only the left &right two sides have wheels. The structure of this climbing machine can be also simplified to only two rows of wheels &the metal frame’s both sides (just head &tail) having no wheels can be removed. (like P. 13) .
(5) climbing machine has at the maximum only two wheels:
From P. 8 a new structure can be developed out: The wheels in the middle can be all removed. If they have been fixed on a metal frame, then only keep 4 wheels at 4 corners is enough. If only two rows of the wheels, then each row only keeps 2 wheels just at the head &tail, then all together 4 wheels. If only one row of wheels, then only  keep 2 wheels just at the head &tail (like P. 14) . Evidently the length &the width of this climbing machine are all changeable. If you feel only two wheels it can′t be sturdy, in the middle can also add two wheels.
(6) climbing machine only needs to regulate the wheels:
From P. 13 a new structure can be developed out: The wheels in the mittle can be all removed. If they have been fixed on a metal frame, then only keep 4 wheels at 4 corners is enough. If only two rows of the wheels, then each row only keeps 2 wheels just at the head &tail, then all together 4 wheels (like P. 15) . Actually it has also much better design: (at first e.g. luggage bag, actually it is also suitable for a lot of other things ) Every luggage bag has wheels, if the wheels can be flexibly moved, is very good. Almost every luggage bag′s wheels have been fixed on a metal bottom below the bag, therefore just change this metal bottom to the metal frame describt in the front going chapter just in Concrete manifestations (5) , then is ok. Evidently this metal frame can be drawn longer or wider. If each luggage bag has only 4 wheels just not enough sturdy, can also add 2 wheels (like P. 16 ) . Sometimes you don′t need to change the metal frame, just only move the wheels , just change the distance between the wheels is enough. E.g. for big things this climbing machine can be just fixed on the things, e.g. for mattress the frame can be just fixed along the edge of the mattress &if on the edge there are just some grooves on the mattress is ok. (the grooves just same as them on the luggage bags, like in P. 5.6.7) . For big things the structure can be like P. 16, if for small things the 3 metal frames can be simplified to only one frame &the 6 wheels can be also simplified to 4 wheels. Sometimes you don′t need to change the frame just only move the wheels, because the wheels can also use the same chutes on the frame &on every wheel there is corresponding knob or screw. You can push the wheels along the chutes. Sometimes you can also take out the wheels from the chutes &the grooves just like how to take the metal sticks out, in P. 5.7, if the sticks can be taken out, the wheels must be same easy. &it is just right for luggage bags, because luggage bag′s wheels are very easily broken usually, if the wheels can be sometimes changed is very good. &the chutes &the grooves can be just fixed on the bottom or side of the luggage bags. Sometimes you can feel the chutes &the grooves are just one part of the luggage bag &when you climb the steps, you only need to move the wheels a little.
