Abstract
In accordance with an aspect of the present invention, apparatus to create mechanical pressure on a web in a machine is provided. The invention includes a static guide roller placed in a web path of a machine. In an embodiment the web path can be, for a non- limiting example, a labeling web path or a printing web path. The invention also includes a movable plate placed inside the static guide roller. In a preferred embodiment, the movable plate is configured to either move out of the static guide roller or move inside the static guide roller. The invention further includes, a push-pull mechanism to either push the movable plate out of the static guide roller or to pull the movable plates inside the static guide roller. In an embodiment, the movable plate is configured to create an angular motion of the web path so as to achieve a mechanical pressure to the web path.
Description
STATIC GUIDE ROLLER WITH MOVABLE PLATE
FIELD OF THE INVENTION
This invention relates, generally, to the field of mechanical turning of running web and more particularly, to the field of static guide roller.
BACKGROUNDOF THE INVENTION
[0001 ] The online industry has gained utmost importance in the current industrial setup and has amply manifested itself in various domains. Conventionally a static guide roller is used to turn or move a web in the industry in different angles. However, using a static guide roller does not add any other functionality apart from mentioned above. In such a situation it becomes very important to provide a static guide roller with added functionality in the industry.
[0002] Based on the classes of techniques discussed above, it may be understood by a person skilled in the art that there is a need of providing a packaging strategy which does away with the eminent problem as discussed above. The instant invention aims at realizing the aforesaid disadvantages by offering a solution in accordance with the manner described.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
[0003] An aspect of the present invention is to address at least the above- mentioned problems and/or disadvantages and to provide at least the advantages
described below. Accordingly, an aspect of the present invention is an apparatus to create mechanical pressure on a web in a machine.
[0004] In accordance with an aspect of the present invention, apparatus to create mechanical pressure on a web in a machine is provided. The invention includes a static guide roller placed in a web path of a machine. In an embodiment the web path can be, for a non-limiting example, a labeling web path or a printing web path. The invention also includes a movable plate placed inside the static guide roller. In a preferred embodiment, the movable plate is configured to either move out of the static guide roller or move inside the static guide roller. The invention further includes, a push-pull mechanism to either push the movable plate out of the static guide roller or to pull the movable plates inside the static guide roller. In an embodiment, the movable plate is configured to create an angular motion of the web path so as to achieve a mechanical pressure to the web path.
[0005] In accordance with an aspect of the present invention, a process to create mechanical pressure on a web in a machine is provided. The process includes placing a static guide roller in a web path of a machine. In an embodiment the web path can be, for a non-limiting example, a labeling web path or a printing web path. The process then includes, positioning a movable plate inside the static guide roller. In an embodiment, the movable plate is configured to either move out of the static guide roller or move inside the static guide roller. The process further includes, inserting a push-pull mechanism to either push the movable plate out of the static guide roller or to pull the movable plates inside the static guide roller. In a preferred embodiment, the movable
plate is configured to create an angular motion of the web path so as to achieve a mechanical pressure to the web path.

A push- pull mechanism 130 is configured to the movable plate 120 to either push the movable plate out of the static guide roller or to pull the movable plate 120 inside the static guide roller 110. In a preferred embodiment, the movable plate 120 is configured to create an angular motion of the web path so as to achieve a mechanical pressure to the web path.

At STEP 220, a movable plate is positioned inside the static guide roller. In an embodiment the movable plate is configured to either move out of the static guide roller or remain inside the static guide roller. At STEP 230, a push-pull mechanism is inserted to either push the movable plate out of the static guide roller or to pull the movable plates inside the static guide roller. In an embodiment, the movable plate is configured to create an angular motion of the web path so as to achieve a mechanical pressure to the web path.

A push-pull mechanism 130 is configured to the movable plate 320 to either push the movable plate out of the static guide roller 310 or to pull the movable plates inside the static guide roller 310. Claims
1 . An apparatus to create mechanical pressure on a web in a machine, comprising:
a static guide roller placed in a web path of a machine,
a movable plate positioned inside the static guide roller, wherein the movable plate is configured to either move out of the static guide roller or move inside the static guide roller; and
a push-pull mechanism configured to either push the movable plate out of the static guide roller or to pull the movable plates inside the static guide roller, wherein the movable plate is configured to create an angular motion of the web path so as to achieve a mechanical pressure to the web path.
2. The apparatus as claimed in claim 1 , wherein an input to either pull or push the movable plate can be either a processor based input or a mechanical based input.
3. The apparatus as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the static guide roller, the movable plate and the push-pull mechanism can be synchronized by a processor.
4. A process to create mechanical pressure on a web in a machine, the process comprising steps of:
placing a static guide roller in a web path of a machine,
positioning a movable plate inside the static guide roller, wherein the movable plate is configured to either move out of the static guide roller or move inside the static guide roller; and
inserting a push-pull mechanism configured to either push the movable plate out of the static guide roller or to pull the movable plates inside the static guide roller, wherein the movable plate is configured to create an angular motion of the web path so as to achieve a mechanical pressure to the web path.
5. The process as claimed in claim 4, wherein an input to either pull or push the movable plate can be either a processor based input or a mechanical based input.
6. The process as claimed in claim 4, wherein the static guide roller, the movable plate and the push-pull mechanism can be synchronized by a processor.
