(E) BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
(1) Field of Invention
The present retates to a holster that can securely and removably carry various stationery items and which has a clip so that the holster can be securely and removably clasped to an article of clothing or other surfaces. The present invention also can securely carry the cell phone of the user.
(2) Background of Invention
A stationery holder is commonly placed on the top of a desk to hoid various stationeries, such as pens, pencils, markers, paper clips, note-pads, and name cards, for convenient access. The stationery holders that are available in the market are of substantially the same construction, which forms a number of cells or compartments. The compartments may be of different shapes and sizes to receive and hold different kinds of stationery. In other
l words, these conventional stationery holders are designed to receive and hold substantially the same kinds of stationery.
Pens, pencils and other stationery items are usually carried in shirt pockets or pencil boxes. Pens are normally carried in shirt pockets, often in the familiar pocket protector. Pencil boxes and cases for carrying pens are also familiar, it is also common to see devices for holding a pen at a place of use, such as a gripper attached to a telephone or a sleeve attached to a notebook.
However, problems can arise when people wear clothes that do not have pockets that can easily carry pens and they do not wish to hand carry a separate case for pens. One of the solutions to the situation is attaching a pen to an article of apparel that can be attached to the wearer.
U.S. Patent Application No. 20060150457 Al, issued July 13, 2006, to Thomas G, provides a badge holder, memo pad, and combination badge holder and memo pad. This invention relates to a badge holder and memo pad that have a clip positioned on a back cover for being carried on an article of clothing, such as a belt. Notebooks and badge holders are used to perform various functions.
U.S. Patent No. 5,718,023, issued Feb. 17, 1998, to Thomas P. Bilfish, discloses a pen holder with a clip. Billish provides a holder that can securely and removably hold pens, pencils, other writing instruments, and similarly shaped objects, and which has a clip so that the holder can be securely and removably clasped to an article of duihing and alternatively can be clasped to other surfaces.
U.S. Patent No. 6,345,752, issued Feb. 12, 2002, to Leonard T. Chapman, discloses a pen holder that can be attached to a belt or waist band.
The above mentioned prior arts provide a holder with a singular compartment for carrying various stationery items, and do not comprise the secure retaining means for such stationery items. Accordingly, a need remains for a holster that can securely and removably carry various stationery items and the like.
As such, it may be appreciated that there continues to be a need for a new and improved stationery holster, as set forth by the instant invention, which addresses the prob/ems of ease of use as well as effectiveness in construction in providing the holster that can securely and removably carry various stationery items.
