Description

Tape cartridge
The present invention relates to a tape cartridge mounted on a tape printer.
Conventionally, a tape cassette is known in which a coil spring for biasing the lower reel upward is provided between the lower reel and the bottom of the case body. In this tape cassette, the upper reel biased upward via the lower reel by the coil spring is pressed against the upper lid so that when the printing tape is rewound, back tension is applied to the printing tape. (See Patent Document 1).

The inventor has found the following problems.
In order to obtain a uniform printing result in the tape width direction (hereinafter referred to as “tape width direction”) when printing on a tape of a tape cartridge mounted on the tape printing apparatus by a tape printing apparatus having a print head. In the state where the tape cartridge is mounted, it is preferable that the center of the tape (hereinafter referred to as “tape center”) is located at a predetermined position of the print head in the tape width direction. On the other hand, in the case of multiple types of tape cartridges with different tape widths, in order to prevent the tape from rattling in the cartridge case, the tape should be kept as small as possible between the cartridge case and the tape in the tape width direction. It is conceivable to use cartridge cases having different sizes depending on the width of the cartridge. When such a tape cartridge is attached to the tape printer with one end in the tape width direction as a reference, depending on the type of the tape cartridge, the center of the tape will deviate from a predetermined position of the print head, Print quality decreases.
It is an object of the present invention to provide a tape cartridge that enables good printing regardless of the type of tape cartridge among a plurality of types of tape cartridges having different tape widths.
The tape cartridge of the present invention is a plurality of types of tape cartridges having different tape widths, and is one of the plurality of types of tape cartridges selectively mounted on a common tape printer. A roll body in which a tape is wound in a roll shape, a roll body is accommodated, and is provided between a cartridge case common to a plurality of types of tape cartridges and a first end surface which is one end surface of the cartridge case and the roll body. In the tape width direction, which is the width direction of the tape, a spacer portion having different dimensions in the tape width direction and a cartridge case for each type of tape cartridge so that the position of the center of the tape is common to a plurality of types of tape cartridges And the second end surface which is the other end surface of the roll body, the roll body being the first end surface Characterized by comprising a biasing member for biasing.
In this configuration, the roll body is pressed against the spacer portion by the biasing member. Therefore, according to this configuration, even when a common cartridge case is used for a plurality of types of tape cartridges, it is possible to prevent the roll body from rattling within the cartridge case. In this configuration, a common cartridge case is provided for a plurality of types of tape cartridges. Further, the position of the tape center is common to a plurality of types of tape cartridges. For this reason, when the tape cartridge is mounted in the tape printer, the center of the tape is located at a predetermined position of the print head of the tape printer in any type of tape cartridge. Therefore, according to this configuration, in a plurality of types of tape cartridges having different tape widths, good printing can be performed regardless of the type of the tape cartridge.
In this case, it is preferable that the urging member has a plate portion in contact with the second end face and a spring portion that can be bent.
In this configuration, the spring portion urges the roll body with the surface via the plate portion in contact with the second end surface. Therefore, according to this configuration, the roll body can be urged in a well-balanced manner without increasing the number of parts.
In this case, the cartridge case has a rib provided on the wall portion facing the second end surface, the spring portion includes a continuous portion connected to the plate portion, and a contact portion in contact with the cartridge case. It is preferable that the tape rotates when the tape is unwound, the continuous part is located behind the roll body in the rotational direction, and the contact part is located ahead of the roll body in the rotational direction.
When the urging member rotates when the tape is paid out, a sound is generated in which the contact portion of the spring portion that has passed through the rib hits the cartridge case. On the other hand, in this configuration, when the tape is fed out and the roll body starts to rotate, and the urging member starts to rotate along with this, the contact portion of the spring portion abuts against the rib of the cartridge case. Thereby, rotation of an urging member stops, and after that, a roll body rotates, making sliding contact with a stationary urging member. Therefore, according to this configuration, the rotation of the urging member is suppressed when the tape is fed out, and the occurrence of the sound that the contact portion hits the cartridge case is suppressed.
In this case, it is preferable that the urging member has a plurality of spring portions, and the plurality of spring portions are provided in the plate portion so as to be dispersed in the circumferential direction of the plate portion.
According to this configuration, the roll body can be urged with good balance by the urging member.
In this case, the wall portion facing the second end surface of the cartridge case and the urging member are preferably translucent.
According to this configuration, the remaining amount of the tape in the roll body can be visually recognized through the wall portion and the biasing member facing the second end surface.
In this case, the biasing member is preferably common to a plurality of types of tape cartridges.
According to this configuration, since it is not necessary to prepare a plurality of types of urging members, it is possible to suppress an increase in cost required for the urging members.

Hereinafter, a tape cartridge A according to an embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to the accompanying drawings. A plurality of types of tape cartridges A having different widths of the tape 511 are prepared, and the plurality of types of tape cartridges A are selectively mounted on a common tape printer P. In the following drawings, an XYZ orthogonal coordinate system is displayed as necessary in order to clarify the arrangement relationship of each part such as the tape cartridge A.
Referring to FIG. 1, first, a tape printer P to which a plurality of types (only two types shown in FIG. 1) of tape cartridges A are selectively mounted will be described. The tape printer P includes an operation panel 101, a display 102, an opening / closing lid 103, a cartridge mounting unit 104, and a tape discharge port 105.
The operation panel 101 receives an input / edit operation of a character string to be printed. The display 102 displays a character string being input / edited and various messages. The open / close lid 103 opens and closes the cartridge mounting portion 104. A tape cartridge A is detachably mounted on the cartridge mounting portion 104 in the Z direction. In a state where the tape cartridge A is mounted in the cartridge mounting portion 104, the width direction of the tape 511 accommodated in the tape cartridge A (hereinafter referred to as “tape width direction”) is the Z direction. The cartridge mounting portion 104 includes a mounting bottom wall portion 1041 and a mounting peripheral wall portion 1042. The tape cartridge A is mounted on the cartridge mounting portion 104 so as to be seated on the mounting bottom wall portion 1041. A print head 106, a platen drive shaft 107, and a take-up drive shaft 108 are provided on the mounting bottom wall portion 1041. The tape discharge port 105 is a place where the printed tape 511 sent from the tape cartridge A mounted on the cartridge mounting unit 104 is discharged.
Referring to FIG. 2, the print head 106 and the head support portion 109 that supports the print head 106 will be described.
The print head 106 includes a plurality of heating elements 1061. The heating elements 1061 are arranged in the Z direction on the surface of the print head 106, that is, on the −Y side surface. The head support unit 109 includes a head support shaft 1091, a head support frame 1092, and a fulcrum pin 1093. The head support shaft 1091 has an end on the −Z side fixed to a base frame (not shown) and extends in the Z direction. The head support frame 1092 is rotatably supported by the head support shaft 1091 and supports the print head 106 on the −Y side. The fulcrum pin 1093 extends in the X direction. The fulcrum pin 1093 couples the print head 106 to the head support frame 1092 so as to be swingable.
The operation of the print head 106 in conjunction with the opening / closing lid 103 will be described with reference to FIGS. When the open / close lid 103 is opened, the print head 106 is turned to the + Y side about the head support shaft 1091 by a head release mechanism (not shown) that connects the open / close lid 103 and the head support frame 1092, and the platen Retreat from the drive shaft 107. As a result, when the tape cartridge A is mounted on the cartridge mounting portion 104, the tape 511 and the ink ribbon 21 can be inserted between the platen roller 4 engaged with the platen drive shaft 107 and the print head 106.
On the other hand, when the open / close lid 103 is closed, the print head 106 is turned to the −Y side about the head support shaft 1091 by the head release mechanism and approaches the platen drive shaft 107. Therefore, when the opening / closing lid 103 is closed with the tape cartridge A mounted on the cartridge mounting portion 104, the print head 106 causes the tape 511 and the ink ribbon 21 to be placed on the platen roller 4 engaged with the platen drive shaft 107. Press against. At this time, the print head 106 swings around the fulcrum pin 1093. Thereby, the print head 106 presses the tape 511 and the ink ribbon 21 uniformly against the platen roller 4 in the Z direction. When the platen roller 4 rotates in this state, the tape 511 and the ink ribbon 21 sandwiched between the platen roller 4 and the print head 106 are fed. Further, the ink applied to the ink ribbon 21 from the print head 106 is transferred to the tape 511 and printing is performed on the tape 511.
Note that the center of oscillation of the print head 106 in the tape width direction (Z direction), that is, the position of the fulcrum pin 1093 is the center of the print head 106 in the tape width direction (hereinafter referred to as “head center”).
The tape cartridge A will be described with reference to FIG. When the tape cartridge A is mounted on the cartridge mounting portion 104, the first opposing wall portion 111 contacts the mounting bottom wall portion 1041. That is, the tape cartridge A is mounted on the cartridge mounting portion 104 with the first opposing wall portion 111 as a reference. A first tape housing area 1111 that is substantially circular as viewed from the + Z side is provided in a substantially half portion on the −Y side of the first opposing wall portion 111. The tape roll 5 is stored in the first tape storage area 1111. At approximately the center of the first tape housing area 1111, a core shaft 1112 is provided protruding to the + Z side. The tape roll 5 is rotatably supported on the core shaft 1112. When the platen roller 4 rotates and the tape 511 is fed out, the tape roll 5 rotates clockwise as viewed from the + Z side. In addition, a first head opening (not shown) is provided at a corner on the −X side and the + Y side of the first opposing wall portion 111. The first peripheral wall portion 112 is provided so as to protrude from the peripheral edge portion of the first opposing wall portion 111 to the + Z side. A plurality of joint holes 1121 are provided on the end surface of the first peripheral wall portion 112.
The second case 12 is positioned on the near side (+ Z side) in the mounting direction in a state where the tape cartridge A is mounted on the cartridge mounting portion 104. The second case 12 is a molded product of translucent resin. The second case 12 includes a second opposing wall portion 121 and a second peripheral wall portion 122.
The second opposing wall 121 is opposed to the first opposing wall 111. A substantially circular second tape housing area 1211 as viewed from the −Z side is provided in a substantially half portion on the −Y side of the second opposing wall 121, that is, at a position corresponding to the first tape housing area 1111. A plurality of joining pins 1221 are provided on the end surface of the second peripheral wall portion 122 so as to protrude toward the −Z side. The first case 11 and the second case 12 are joined by press-fitting the joining pin 1221 into the joining hole 1121 provided in the first peripheral wall portion 112.
As shown in FIG. 1, the ribbon roll 2 includes an ink ribbon 21 and a ribbon feeding core 22. The ink ribbon 21 is wound around the ribbon feeding core 22 in a roll shape. The ink ribbon 21 having a width corresponding to the widest tape 511 among the plurality of types of tape cartridges A is commonly used for the plurality of types of tape cartridges A. However, the width of the ink ribbon 21 may be different for each of the plurality of types of tape cartridges A.
The ribbon take-up core 3 engages with the take-up drive shaft 108 in a state where the tape cartridge A is attached to the cartridge attaching portion 104. When the winding drive shaft 108 rotates, the ribbon winding core 3 engaged therewith also rotates. As a result, the ink ribbon 21 fed out from the ribbon feeding core 22 is taken up by the ribbon take-up core 3.
The platen drive shaft 107 is engaged with the platen roller 4 in a state where the tape cartridge A is mounted on the cartridge mounting portion 104. In this state, the platen roller 4 sandwiches the tape 511 and the ink ribbon 21 with the print head 106. When the platen drive shaft 107 rotates, the platen roller 4 engaged therewith also rotates. As a result, the tape 511 and the ink ribbon 21 sandwiched between the platen roller 4 and the print head 106 are fed.
The tape roll 5 will be described with reference to FIG. The tape roll 5 includes a roll body 51 and a tape core 52.
The roll body 51 includes a tape 511 and an adhesive film 512. The tape 511 is wound around the tape core 52 in a roll shape. The tape 511 may be, for example, a band shape or a flat cylindrical shape (for example, a heat shrinkable tube). The adhesive film 512 is affixed to the end surface on the + Z side of the tape 511 wound in a roll shape. That is, the adhesive film 512 constitutes a second end surface 51 b (see FIG. 6) that is an end surface on the + Z side of the roll body 51. The adhesive film 512 is formed in a substantially annular film shape having a slightly larger outer diameter than that of the unused roll body 51. The adhesive film 512 prevents the roll body 51 from being separated when the tape roll 5 is handled in the manufacturing process of the tape cartridge A. Note that the adhesive film 512 is translucent.
The tape core 52 includes a core part 521 and a spacer part 522. Tape 511 is wound around core portion 521 in a roll shape. The core portion 521 is formed in a substantially cylindrical shape with the Z direction as an axis, and the core shaft 1112 is inserted into the core portion 521. The spacer portion 522 is provided at the end on the −Z side of the core shaft 1112. That is, the spacer portion 522 is provided between the first end surface 51a (see FIG. 6), which is the end surface on the −Z side of the roll body 51, and the first opposing wall portion 111. The spacer portion 522 is formed in a hollow, substantially annular plate shape having an outer diameter slightly larger than that of the unused roll body 51.
The relationship between the thickness of the spacer portion 522 and the width of the tape 511 will be described with reference to FIG. The thickness of the spacer portion 522, that is, the dimension in the tape width direction, is set so that the position of the center of the tape 511 (hereinafter referred to as “tape center”) in the tape width direction is common to a plurality of types of tape cartridges A. ing. In addition, the dashed-dotted line 511p shown in the figure shows the position of the tape center in the Z direction. For this reason, the thin spacer portion 522 is used in the tape cartridge A in which the wide tape 511 is accommodated, and the thick spacer portion 522 is used in the tape cartridge A in which the narrow tape 511 is accommodated. In the tape cartridge A in which the tape 511 having the maximum width is accommodated, the spacer portion 522 may be omitted.
The spring member 6 will be described with reference to FIG. The spring member 6 is provided between the second end surface 51b of the roll body 51 and the second opposing wall 121 facing the second end surface 51b. The spring member 6 biases the roll body 51 toward the first end face 51a (−Z side). The spring member 6 is a molded product of translucent resin. The spring member 6 includes a plate portion 61 and a plurality (three in this case) of spring portions 62.
The plate part 61 is in contact with the second end surface 51 b of the roll body 51. The plate portion 61 is formed in a thin, substantially annular plate shape having a slightly larger outer diameter than the unused roll body 51. The plate portion 61 is provided with an arcuate spring opening 611 that is slightly larger than the spring portion 62 when viewed from the + Z side at a position corresponding to the spring portion 62. A circular opening 612 is provided in the approximate center of the plate portion 61. A core portion 521 is inserted into the circular opening 612.
The three spring portions 62 are provided on the plate portion 61 so as to be distributed at substantially equal angular intervals in the circumferential direction of the plate portion 61. The spring part 62 is formed in an arc shape when viewed from the + Z side, and is formed so as to rise obliquely from the plate part 61 to the + Z side. The continuous portion 621 corresponding to the base end of the spring portion 62 is continuous with the plate portion 61 at one end in the length direction of the spring opening 611. A contact portion 622 corresponding to the tip of the spring portion 62 is in contact with the second opposing wall portion 121. The continuous portion 621 is located in the clockwise rearward direction, that is, in the rearward direction of the tape roll 5 when viewed from the + Z side. Further, the contact portion 622 is located in the clockwise direction, that is, in the rotational direction of the tape roll 5 as viewed from the + Z side.
The spring portion 62 can be bent, and the amount of bending changes according to the width of the gap between the roll body 51 and the second opposing wall portion 121. That is, in the tape cartridge A in which the wide tape 511 is accommodated, since the gap between the roll body 51 and the second opposing wall portion 121 is narrow, the amount of bending of the spring portion 62 increases. On the other hand, in the tape cartridge A in which the narrow tape 511 is accommodated, since the gap between the roll body 51 and the second opposing wall portion 121 is wide, the bending amount of the spring portion 62 is small. For this reason, the spring member 6 can appropriately bias the roll body 51 regardless of the width of the tape 511.
By the way, when the tape 511 is fed out and the tape roll 5 rotates, the spring member 6 will also rotate due to the friction between the second end face 51b of the roll body 51 and the -Z side surface of the plate portion 61 of the spring member 6. And
With reference to FIG. 8 and FIG. 9, the aspect of the spring member 6 when the tape 511 is drawn out from the roll body 51 in the tape cartridge B according to the embodiment different from the tape cartridge A shown in FIG. . The tape cartridge B is configured in substantially the same manner as the tape cartridge A, but in the spring member 6, the continuous portion 621 of the spring portion 62 is positioned ahead of the tape roll 5 in the rotation direction, and the contact portion 622 is the tape roll. 5 is different in that it is located rearward in the direction of rotation. In this case, while the tape roll 5 is rotating, the spring member 6 also continues to rotate, and the sound of the contact portion 622 hitting the cartridge case 1 is generated intermittently. This is because, in this case, when the spring member 6 rotates, the spring portion 62 comes into contact with the rib 1212 at a position between the continuous portion 621 and the contact portion 622 and is bent toward the −Z side (see FIG. 8). . This is because when the spring member 6 further rotates from this state, the contact portion 622 passes through the rib 1212, and the contact portion 622 that has passed through the rib 1212 again hits the second opposing wall portion 121 by the spring force of the spring portion 62. (See FIG. 9).
On the other hand, in the tape cartridge A, it is suppressed that the spring member 6 continues to rotate while the tape roll 5 is rotating, and the sound of the contact portion 622 hitting the cartridge case 1 is suppressed. Hereinafter, the aspect of the spring member 6 when the tape 511 is drawn out from the roll body 51 in the tape cartridge A of the embodiment will be described with reference to FIGS. 10 and 11.
FIG. 10 shows a state where the contact portion 622 of the spring portion 62 of the spring member 6 and the rib 1212 of the second case 12 are separated from each other. In this state, when the tape 511 is fed out from the tape roll 5, the tape roll 5 starts to rotate clockwise as viewed from the + Z side, and accordingly, the spring member 6 also starts to rotate clockwise as viewed from the + Z side. . Here, as described above, in the tape cartridge A of the embodiment, in the spring member 6, the contact portion 622 of the spring portion 62 is positioned ahead of the tape roll 5 in the rotation direction, and the continuous portion 621 is the tape roll 5. Located rearward in the direction of rotation. For this reason, when the spring member 6 starts rotating, the contact portion 622 of the spring portion 62 abuts against the side surface of the rib 1212 of the second case 12 as shown in FIG. Thereby, the rotation of the spring member 6 is stopped, and thereafter, the tape roll 5 rotates while being in sliding contact with the plate portion 61 of the stationary spring member 6. In this way, it is possible to suppress the sound that the contact portion 622 hits the cartridge case 1.
With reference to FIG. 12 and FIG. 13, the positional relationship between the tape 511 accommodated in the tape cartridge C according to the comparative example and the print head 106 will be described. Unlike the tape cartridge A of the embodiment, the tape cartridge C of the comparative example has a tape width according to the width of the tape 511 so that there is no gap as much as possible between the cartridge case 1 and the tape 511 in the tape width direction. A cartridge case 1 having different dimensions in the direction is provided. Further, the tape cartridge C is mounted with the first opposing wall portion 111 as a reference, similarly to the tape cartridge A of the embodiment. For this reason, when the tape cartridge C is mounted on the cartridge mounting portion 104, the tape center deviates from the head center depending on the type of the tape cartridge C. For example, as shown in FIG. 12, in the tape cartridge C in which the wide tape 511 is accommodated, the tape center is located at the head center, but as shown in FIG. 13, the narrow tape 511 is accommodated. In the tape cartridge C, the tape center is deviated from the head center. In the figure, the alternate long and short dash line 106p indicates the position of the head center in the Z direction. Then, in the tape cartridge C in which the tape center deviates from the head center, the tape 511 is not uniformly pressed by the print head 106 in the tape width direction, so that the print quality is deteriorated.
On the other hand, in the present embodiment, it is possible to perform good printing regardless of the type of the tape cartridge A in a plurality of types of tape cartridges A having different widths of the tape 511. Hereinafter, the positional relationship between the tape 511 accommodated in the tape cartridge A of this embodiment and the print head 106 will be described with reference to FIGS. 14 and 15.
As shown in FIGS. 14 and 15, in the tape cartridge A of this embodiment, as described above, a plurality of types of tape cartridges A having different widths of the tape 511 are common to the plurality of types of tape cartridges A. It has. Further, the thickness of the spacer portion 522 differs depending on the type of the tape cartridge A, and the position of the center of the tape is common to the plurality of types of tape cartridges A. For this reason, when the tape cartridge A is mounted on the cartridge mounting portion 104, the tape center is located at the head center in any type of tape cartridge A. As a result, in any type of tape cartridge A, since the tape 511 is uniformly pressed by the print head 106 in the tape width direction, a good printing result can be obtained.
As described above, the tape cartridge A of the present embodiment is a plurality of types of tape cartridges A having different widths of the tape 511, and is a plurality of types of tape cartridges A that are selectively mounted on the common tape printer P. This is one of the tape cartridges A. The tape cartridge A is provided between the roll body 51 in which the tape 511 is wound in a roll shape, the cartridge case 1 in which the roll body 51 is accommodated, and the cartridge case 1 and the first end surface 51 a of the roll body 51. A spacer portion 522 and a spring member 6 provided between the cartridge case 1 and the second end surface 51 b of the roll body 51 are provided. The cartridge case 1 is common to a plurality of types of tape cartridges A. The spacer portion 522 has different dimensions in the tape width direction for each type of tape cartridge A so that the position of the tape center of the tape 511 is common to the plurality of types of tape cartridges A in the tape width direction. The spring member 6 biases the roll body 51 toward the first end face 51a.
According to this configuration, as described above, in a plurality of types of tape cartridges A having different widths of the tape 511, good printing can be performed regardless of the type of the tape cartridge A.
In the tape cartridge A of this embodiment, the spring member 6 includes a plate portion 61 and a spring portion 62. The plate part 61 is in contact with the second end surface 51 b of the roll body 51. The spring part 62 includes a continuous part 621 that continues to the plate part 61 and a contact part 622 that contacts the cartridge case 1.
In this configuration, the spring portion 62 urges the roll body 51 with the surface via the plate portion 61 in contact with the second end surface 51b. Therefore, according to this configuration, the roll body 51 can be urged in a well-balanced manner without increasing the number of parts.
Further, in the tape cartridge A of the present embodiment, the cartridge case 1 has a rib 1212 provided on the second facing wall 121 facing the second end surface 51b. The roll body 51 rotates when the tape 511 is fed out. The continuous part 621 is located behind the roll body 51 in the rotation direction, and the contact part 622 is located ahead of the roll body 51 in the rotation direction.
According to this configuration, as described above, the rotation of the spring member 6 is suppressed when the tape 511 is fed out, and the occurrence of the sound of the contact portion 622 hitting the cartridge case 1 is suppressed.
Further, in the tape cartridge A of the present embodiment, the spring member 6 has a plurality of spring portions 62, and the plurality of spring portions 62 are distributed in the circumferential direction of the plate portion 61 and provided on the plate portion 61. Yes.
According to this configuration, the roll body 51 can be urged with good balance by the spring member 6.
In the tape cartridge A of the present embodiment, the second opposing wall 121 facing the second end surface 51b in the cartridge case 1 and the spring member 6 are translucent.
According to this configuration, the remaining amount of the tape 511 in the roll body 51 can be visually recognized through the second opposing wall portion 121 and the spring member 6.
In the tape cartridge A of the present embodiment, the spring member 6 is common to a plurality of types of tape cartridges A.
According to this configuration, since it is not necessary to prepare a plurality of types of spring members 6, it is possible to suppress an increase in cost required for the spring members 6.
The present invention is not limited to the above-described embodiment, and it goes without saying that various configurations can be adopted without departing from the spirit of the present invention. For example, this embodiment can be changed into the following forms.
The spring member 6 may be made of a material other than the translucent resin. For example, a metal such as a non-translucent resin or stainless steel can be used. In addition, when the spring member 6 is non-translucent, it is preferable to provide an opening at a position off the spring portion 62 in the plate portion 61 so that the remaining amount of the tape 511 can be confirmed.
