- the housing 102 consists of three sections i.e. upper section 104, middle section 106 and bottom section 108 each employing elements for attaining the automatic off of the gas supply to the gas stove from the cylinder 110 enabling the safety of the consumers.
- the upper section 104 of the housing 102 consists of a timer 114 which is connected to a drive wheel 112 through a rod as shown in the FIG. 1.
- the cylinder 110 comprises a tank 140 of longitudinal in shape accommodating gas such as LPG or LP gas and three shroud walls 144 supported with a circular ring 138 on the top of these shroud walls 144, where there is provided with a regulator 142 arrangement placed between the circular ring 138 and at the center of the three shroud walls 144 with a knob pin 136 is attached to the regulator 142.
- the operation of the timer 114 starts only when the knob pin 136 of the regulator 142 is switched ON, the timer 114 starts counting the time till the pre-set time is reached to automatically OFF the gas supply.
- the drive wheel 112 placed on the top of the timer 114 is provided with a hollow space at its center to accommodate the string 116 provided in the middle section 106 of the housing 102, where one end of the string 116 is connected to the driving wheel 112 and the other end is connected to a switch 118 placed at the bottom of the middle section 106.
- the string 118 capable of rolling on to the hollow space provided at the center of the driving wheel 112.
- the other end of the string 118 is connected to the a long pin 120 provided in the bottom section 108 of the housing 102, where the long pin 120 is further connected to a shaft 126 of the spring motor 128 which in turn connected to a gear wheel 122.
- the bottom section 108 also comprises of an extension plate 130 with holes on which U-shaped clamps 152 are inserted.
- the gear wheel 122 is connected to the knob pin 136 of the regulator 142 through a chain 134 that can be rolled on to the gear wheel 122 to turn OFF the knob pin 136 of the regulator 142 when rotated.
- the regulator 142 is firmly balanced in position by a C-clamp 146 with a holding pin 148 connected to the one of the shroud wall 144 of the cylinder 110 through nuts and bolts.
- the bottom end of the C-clamp 146 is further connected to the U-clamps 152 further fixed to the extension plate 130 of the housing 102 through Y-shaped bolts 150 to one of the shroud walls 144.
- the switch 118 pulls the switch 118 towards the timer 114 and the long pin 120 which rests on the switch 118 goes downwards allowing the gear wheel 122 to rotate in the reverse direction.
- the chain 134 connected to the gear wheel 122 is made to pull completely in backward direction to turn OFF the knob pin 136 of the regulator 142.
- the gear wheel 122 is interconnected to the spring motor 128 through the shaft 126.
- the timer 114 used in the present system do not employ any electrical or electronic devices avoiding the additional cost to the system.
- the upper section 104, middle section 106 and the bottom section 108 of the housing 102 are arranged in a manner to form an I-shaped structure. Further, the arrangement of each element of the working model 100 as shown in the FIG. 1 is shown in the preceding drawings from FIG. 2 to FIG. 8.
- the housing 202 comprises three sections that include an upper section 204, a middle section 206 and a bottom section 208 arranged in a manner to form an I-shaped structure.
- FIG. 3 illustrating a perspective view 300 of a bottom section 308 of the housing 102 as shown in the FIG. 1 according to the present invention.
- This comprises a long pin 320 connected to a gear wheel 322 through a shaft 326 further connected to a spring motor 328.
- a supporting pin 324 placed at the center of the gear wheel 322, which is rotated in a reverse direction to automatically OFF the supply of gas from the cylinder.
- FIG. 4 illustrates a perspective view 400 of the set-up where the driving wheel 412 is connected to the switch 418 through a string 416 that can be rolled on to the hollow space provided at the center of the driving wheel 412 when the timer is activated to automatically OFF the gas supply from the cylinder to the gas stove.
- FIG. 5 illustrating a perspective view 500 of the timer 514 according to the present invention.
- the driving wheel 512 connected at the top of the timer 514 placed in the upper section 104 of the housing 102 I-shaped structure.
- the timer 514 device starts counting time when the knob pin 136 is turned ON to allow the gas supply as shown in the FIG. 1.
- FIG. 6 illustrating a perspective view 600 of a gear wheel 622 connected to the knob pin 636 of the regulator 642 through a chain 634 to roll on to the drive wheel 622 when the timer is operated.
- FIG. 7 depicting a perspective view 700 of the regulator 742 with a knob pin 736 which is held firmly to one of the shroud walls of the cylinder by using a C-clamp 746 with a holding pin 748.
- FIG. 8 illustrating a perspective view of the u-clamps 852 attached to one of the shroud wall by using Y-shaped bolts and the bottom end of which is connected to the extension plate 830 of the I-shaped housing 832.
- This invention provides an effective timed control device to automatically off the supply of gas from the cylinder to the gas stove without using any electrical or electronic devices. Additional benefits and advantages of the present embodiments will become apparent in those skilled in the art to which the embodiments relate from the description of the preferred embodiment and the appended claims, taken in conjunction with the accompanying drawings.
