Cette invention concerne un procédé d'ajustement d'un réglage de chauffe-eau par commande gestuelle, et un chauffe-eau, ledit procédé comprenant : l'enregistrement d'un réglage de chauffe-eau prédéfini par un utilisateur (S101) ; l'enregistrement de la relation de correspondance entre le réglage et un geste de la main spécifique (S102) ; la lecture d'informations gestuelles entrées par un utilisateur (S103) ; la détection du fait qu'un réglage de chauffe-eau correspondant auxdites informations gestuelles existe ou non (S104) ; en cas de détection négative, le maintien de l'état (S105) ; et en cas de détection positive, la modification du réglage actuel pour obtenir le réglage de chauffe-eau correspondant au geste de la main (S106).
