Abstract
Provided are a solvent-based paint remover, use thereof, and method for removing paint from a workpiece. The paint remover comprises the following components in parts by weight: 262-550 parts of dichloromethane, 44-100 parts of methanoic acid, 11-20 parts of hydrofluoric acid, and 33-100 parts of phenol. The paint remover has low causticity towards a substrate and a long service life, removes paint quickly, and can be used to remove a paint layer or a plastic layer from a surface of a metal workpiece.
