Abstract

A method for scheduling the operation of at least one electric load (2) comprising: determining the energy consumed by the electric load (2); determining an energy consumption history of the electric load (2) over a first interval of time on the basis of the determined electric energy; establishing an energy consumption estimate for the electric load (2) in a future interval of time on the basis of the energy consumption history; establishing operation profiles of the electric load (2) comprising a sequence of operation working states in a future period to be scheduled; estimating the approximate energy consumptions of the operation profiles in the period to be scheduled on the basis of the working states and the energy consumption estimate; determining the approximate energy costs of the operation profiles in the period to be scheduled on the basis of the approximate energy consumptions of the operation profiles and an energy cost index (PUN); comparing the approximate energy costs of the operation profiles so as to determine an optimal operation profile having the lowest energy cost, and schedule operation of the electric load (2) on the basis of the determined optimal operation profile.
