  • Static signage refers to fixed location advertisements. This may include bill boards, signs, store fronts, and so forth. Static signage need only be registered with a single location. Mobile signage may be registered as such and would need to include a method of locating and transmitting its location on a regular basis. This tracking and locating equipment may be included within system 99.
  • Device 100 is configured to typically track and monitor its location through one or more different types of locating devices and software.

Promotional information may be relayed to both types of application software as well.
  • Application software 101 is configured to store the promotional material so as to be sorted and categorized initially by system 99 or the promoter application software. Various levels of categories are possible to simplify navigation. Categorization may be done by type of advertisement, promoter, type of service or good, quality of promotion, and others for example.
  • System Application is configured to further permit the user to re- categorize and even rank or prioritize types of promotional information. These may relate to his/her interests and needs so as to minimize undesired promotions.

Where a web portal is used, a consumer may be able to log into an account in communication with server 200 and view advertisements for a particular date range or based on other queriable search criteria.
  • Application software 101 finds the current location of device 100 and then queries server 200 to compare its location with that of billboard 1 10.

  • Billboard 1 10 may include: BB campaign content engine 201 and BB notification engine 202 configured to push the promotional information directly to device 100. It is understood that there are multiple different ways in which system 99 may recognize the proximity of device 100 to billboard 1 10 and then transmit such information. The above noted methods are exemplary and are in no way meant to be limiting.
  • the current application has many advantages over the prior art including at least the following: (1 ) capturing of promotional information automatically for a user; (2) customizable sorting and searching of advertisements on an electronic device through application software; (3) transmission of promotional information to users based on proximity to the advertisement; and (4) ability to increase the effectiveness and reach of advertisements in locations where users are distracted.
  • the particular embodiments disclosed above are illustrative only, as the application may be modified and practiced in different but equivalent manners apparent to those skilled in the art having the benefit of the teachings herein. It is therefore evident that the particular embodiments disclosed above may be altered or modified, and all such variations are considered within the scope and spirit of the application. Although the present application is shown in a limited number of forms, it is not limited to just these forms, but is amenable to various changes and modifications without departing from the spirit thereof.

Abstract

La présente invention concerne un système conçu pour remettre un contenu de médias enrichis optimal à un consommateur qui passe par une publicité. Le système comprend un serveur en communication sélective avec un support de localisation et un dispositif électronique de consommation appartenant à un utilisateur sur un réseau sans fil. Un fournisseur de système utilise le serveur pour mémoriser et diffuser des publicités d'un promoteur. Le promoteur est comparable à une société, une entité ou un individu cherchant à présenter et/ou fournir des informations promotionnelles au public. Le promoteur travaille avec le fournisseur de système pour télécharger sur le serveur des informations promotionnelles qui concernent une publicité particulière. Les informations promotionnelles sont transmises au dispositif électronique de consommation lorsque celui-ci se trouve à une distance prédéfinie du support.
