Description
SELF ADJUSTABLE SPECTACLE LENSES
FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates about self adjusting spectacle glasses. The invention is more particularly used towards making glasses more interesting for the people who lack clear eye sight. The invention is a step up for the current spectacles, even better lenses. It is an improvement towards eye products , which is beneficial for daily needs.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
According to a WHO study published in 2009, almost 160 million people in the world's poorest countries suffer from uncorrected vision problems, often caused by what is known as "refractive error". Around 9 million of these people have gone blind, despite the fact that the problem, which is fundamentally one of short- or long- sightedness, ca be corrected very easily with glasses.
The study also revealed that the global annual productivity loss due to uncorrected refractive error is estimated at 269 billion dollars, almost half of which is lost in the countries of the Western Pacific Region alone.
The reason for this is that people are less productive than they would be if they had glasses to give them normal vision. For example, although the most productive years of a person's working life begin at 40, close manual work becomes more difficult at this age, even for those with good eyesight, wThile delicate wTork with
small instruments is all but impossible for the visually impaired. In addition to this, experts believe that, given the continuing spread of urbanization, the problems caused by the increase in cases of defective vision can only get worse.
It is not only productivity and quality of life which suffer as a result of visual impairment. The effects of correctable refractive error can actually be life-threatening. Poor vision can lead to accidents at work, in the home and on the roads. It also closes off many opportunities in education. People with vision impairments may not learn to read, even when given the opportunity to do so.
The earliest invention of spectacles was known as bifocals by Benjamin Franklin an American scientist. Over time the product had evolved- holding the eye piece, wearing a ribbon around the head to support the eye pieces. The scissor glasses and lorgnettes wear fashionable for the second half of the 18th century towards the midst of the 19th century. In the early 20th century, new developments wear shared by Moritz von Rohr and Zeiss wTho developed the Zeiss Punktal spherical point-focus lenses and in 2008 Joshua Silver designed adjustable corrective glasses. What is remarkable about Silver's invention is that it allows wearers to adjust the glasses to suit their eyesight, using only a basic test and without the need for an optometrist. To achieve this, the inventor, now also the director of the Centre for Vision in the Developing
World, has made use of a simple technique which mirrors the way the human lens works. "Essentially, what we have here is a chamber with a small amount of fluid between two plastic membranes", explains Silver. Turning a small wTheel forwards forces fluid into the chamber, causing the surface to swell outwards and producing plus lenses for use by long-sighted individuals. Turning the wheel in the other direction causes the opposite effect resulting in minus lenses for the short-sighted.
The principal advantage of such an arrangement over previous apparatuses is that the lenses become self adjustable after adjustment of the lens or lenses to a desired setting. This is in contrast to previous apparatuses,, in which the lenses have remained perpetually adjustable. Thus, previous lens apparatuses could not be incorporated into spectacles partly because of the cumbersome nature of the pumps needed for adjustment of the lenses; and partly because of the risk of the optical power of the lenses deviating from optima tailored for the wearer of the spectacles.
In the early 20th century, new developments wear shared by Moritz von Rohr and Zeiss who developed the Zeiss
Punktal spherical point-focus lenses and in 2008 Joshua Silver designed adjustable corrective glasses.
To over come such limitation in the present invention, Self Adjustable Spectacle lenses are used.
OBJECT OF THE INVENTION
The main object of the present invention, The spectra would be known for it's self adjusting spectacle glasses in which a camera has the auto focusing capacity.
The further object of the invention spectra can adjust their glasses according to the person's eyesight number.
The further object of the invention, the person does not required visiting the ophthalmologist periodically to check their eye.
The further object of the invention, is not only these glasses have the ability to do this but it can also contain three other functions; (i) camera, (ii) using it as sunglasses and (iii) having the binocular feature.
The present invention is self adjustable lenses to create cheap lenses with good quality. In the present invention, lenses are placed directly on the surface of the eye which will result clear vision and has not required support of nose and ears.
The present invention lenses bring out the natural looks of one's face and there is nothing covering the front of their eyes where spectacles
hide one's face and create a different image of them from the societies views.
In the further embodiment spectacles take up a lot of space where their containers are big as wTell but lenses take up very small amount of space and is easy to carry around everywhere. Lenses can also come in different colors which could help change one's eye color when wore as spectacles can be problematic if various changes in size are applied.
This invention will allow people at home to create lenses for their eye sight without needing to visit the ophthalmologist for eye number provision. Quick and simple home lenses to allow for a better, healthier life style. Easy receptive production, with constant features allowing there to be a mass production of the product. The more famous, wanted it is, the cheaper it would get, although to start of, it should be an affordable price.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
It will be convenient to further describe the present invention with respect to the accompanying described details of the invention that illustrates possible arrangements of the invention. Other arrangements of the invention are possible, and consequently the particularity of the accompanying details is not intended to be limiting of the present invention.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
Before explaining the present invention in detail, it is to be understood that the invention is not limited in its application to the details of the construction and arrangement of parts illustrated in the accompanying specification. The invention is capable of other embodiments, as depicted in different figures as described above and of being practiced or carried out in a variety of ways, it is to be understood that the phraseology and terminology employed herein is for the purpose of description and not of limitation.
The present invention is the next step towards making glasses more interesting for the people who lack clear eye sight. The spectra would be known for its self adjusting spectacle glasses in which a camera has the auto focusing capacity, wherein spectra can adjust their glasses according to the person's eyesight number. The person does not need to visit the ophthalmologist periodically now. Not only will these glasses have the ability to do this but it can also contain three other functions; (i) camera, (ii) using it as sunglasses and (iii) the binocular feature.
As shown in Fig.l, the lenses would be made out of plastic, which can be made from silicon or acrylic to help it set easily on the surface
of the eye. The idea is to have two very thin yet strong layer of plastic which is held together by suction holes. The holes are there to help expand and contract the lenses by having it filled with silicon gel (when soaked) so it can adjust toward one's preferable sight number and allow them to have clear vision.
They would be seen as just normal lenses but with the ability to control the amount of silicone gel added which can be done bv the consumers at home and not by a professional.
While,, the invention has been described with respect to the given embodiment, it will be appreciated that many variations, modifications and other applications of the invention may be made. However, it is to be expressly understood that such modifications and adaptations are withi the scope of the present invention, as set forth in the claims.
